Chapter 63 - Akiha Tohno

"Akiha..."  

"Brother, are you alright?"  

Bell snapped back to the moment.  

"Yeah, I just woke up... By the way, is there anything you need, Akiha?" Bell asked, though he hadn't fully processed the memories yet.  

It was enough for him to manage this girl.  

"No, I just wanted to check on you," Akiha replied, her voice tinged with concern. "Are you adjusting to life here?"  

"Yeah, it's okay..."  

"Kohaku, bring my brother a change of clothes," Akiha commanded a maid who had been silently observing from the sidelines.  

The maid bowed respectfully and left the room to fetch the clothes.  

"Brother, wash up and come to the dining hall. I'll wait for you."  

"Got it, Akiha," Bell replied with a gentle smile.  

Akiha stared at Bell, momentarily captivated by his smile.  

"Akiha?"  

Snapping out of her daze, Akiha hurriedly left the room.  

"Hmm?" Bell looked confused but shrugged it off.  

Never mind...  

Knock, knock.  

"Come in!"  

"Master Shiki, here are your clothes. Please take them," Kohaku said, bowing before leaving the room.  

Bell examined the clothes before heading to the bathroom. Taking a deep breath, he looked into the mirror.  

'So, my facial features are the same as Bell's. Only my hair is black, and my eyes are identical.'  

'But why can't I see those death lines like the original Shiki does?'  

'I'm not even wearing those glasses.'  

[Try to think of your eyes as a switch. When you need it, you open the switch. When you don't, you close the switch.]

The system prompted him with a suggestion.  

'Open.'  

The moment Bell thought the word, his surroundings transformed. Everything was overlaid with horrifying, jagged lines.  

It was terrifying.

The world returned to normal.

'I see...' Bell sighed, thinking for a moment.

"I hope you're doing okay," he murmured to himself. "If not, take care... After all, your end is approaching."  

After showering and dressing, Bell made his way to the dining hall at Akiha's insistence.  

"Brother, eat this. It's good for your growth."

Akiha, as if possessed, kept urging him to eat more.  

Bell, who had always missed the warmth of family interactions, felt a newfound sense of belonging. Unconsciously, a gentle smile crept onto his face.  

Seeing him happy, Akiha smiled too.  

After finishing breakfast, the sibling duo headed to school together.  

As they walked along the road, Bell's thoughts drifted to the five heroines of Tsukihime: Akiha, Ciel, Satsuki, Kohaku, and Arcueid.  

According to the storyline, Shiki had romantic interactions with Ciel and Arcueid only.  

But now that Bell was Shiki, he intended to involve all five of them. After all, winning over a heroine brought him rewards.  

Akiha, Kohaku, and Satsuki should be straightforward...  

Only Ciel and Arcueid might pose challenges.

He vowed to save her one day. This girl wasn't just sustaining her own life—she was keeping him alive too, sharing half of her life force with him.  

This thought made Bell's heart ache.
