Approach
There was also many more hunters who had come over as well and settled in the dragon roost area that Alex and the admiral lived in. Eventually though all good things needed to end as one day alex was startled all of a sudden as he felt fatalis actually stir awake fully. He didn't know how but he was certain that he could feel the elders anger after it may have noticed the death of alatreon and safi jiiva. Alex did not hesitate to leave the new world after informing everyone that he was going to make a trip over seas.-
Fatalis's intelligence was nothing to scoff at so when Alex started to rapidly cross the sea on wing it had realized that he was coming after it. As the undisputed ruling species of the world for so long fatalis as a whole were arrogant creatures. Rather than prepare for Alex the fatalis that was waking up disdainfully chose to wait for him in the ruins it nested in. Alex may not fly slowly at all but even he couldn't cross the ocean in a short period of time. That said he was still faster than the ships sent from astera to inform the guild of alex's trip.-
As a result when he finally approached the shoreline of the new world and there happened to be a village located near it he was spotted. Like any sane person living in this world would the elder dragon alarm was set off by the people who saw him. Alex noticed this but didn't slow down at all to explain as he passed overhead and into the distance. This left the entire village dumbfounded as it was clear to all of them that he totally ignored them despite the racket they were making.-
'I have no time to waste on people I will likely never see again , I have a king waiting for me to cut down.' Alex thought as he finally passed by time worn ruins covered in plants that told him he had reached the edge of the ancient kingdom. Rather than press forward while he was tired from his long journey Alex found a roaming rathalos and killed it before eating it and going to sleep in a collapsed stone building to make sure he was at his peak for the fight.-
This wasn't going to be like it was with alatreon as fatalis wasn't reckless by any means and would avoid any suspicious thing it found coming at it. It certainly didn't help that the elder was very much locked unto alex's aura at the moment meaning sneak attacks were impossible. Despite noticing that Alex had stopped top rest and recuperate from his trip not more than thirty miles from it's location the fatalis made no move to approach on it's own. Whether this was from confidence or some sort of respect towards the one challenging it was unknown to all but the fatalis itself.-
Unlike with humans that the fatalis species hated to an unending extent the elder was completely calm at Alex's obvious wish to dethrone it. It could not be blamed though as Alex was certainly not the first elder dragon to attempt such a thing in it's long life. If anything Alex had the fatalis curious as he was an anomaly that made little sense to it's senses. His aura was constantly shifting at random and had a strange calm sharpness to it that it had only noticed in humans. Yet at the same time the aura was savage and cold with a barely controlled bloodthirst to it.-
Alex meanwhile spent the next three days recovering from his long journey's exhaustion fully much to the local population of monsters regret as he had eaten no less than three large monsters a day. Finally though Alex had recovered and he finally steeled himself to what was likely to be the hardest fight of this life. He took off into the air but made no attempt to rush to fatalis's position as there was no hurry for either fighter. Alex soon arrived regardless and for the first time saw fatalis with his own eyes.
