Reaching the point where she gained an initial understanding of how they functioned, a terrifying achievement considering her low cultivation realm and close to nonexistent comprehension of the Dao of Space.

Of course, she was still far from fully understanding the formation symbols as it contained Xuan Hao's understanding of the Dao of Space and Dao of Formations, which both reached the Large Success Realm, but it was a major step that allowed her comprehension of the Dao of Formations to rapidly increase.

Seeing this growth in not just Fang Yu, but the rest of the formation hall as well, Elder Song became more certain of his decision, as he continued funneling more resources towards the formation hall.

Of course, at the same time, Fang Yu and some of the more skilled formation masters help the sect in setting up formations throughout the sect and across some of the more important branches. Making the cultivation environment better and increasing the protection of some of the branches that only had basic protective formations or none at all by establishing new protective formation capable of at least resisting someone in the Nascent Soul Realm.
