Chapter 2 - Shadowmoon
"I..." Kaizoku looked up at the sky, suddenly shocked to see only birds flying above.
"Huh!?"
"Hey! Where are you from! Answer me!" Sylphy still threatened Kaizoku with her sharp claws.
Kaizoku pointed his finger toward the sky. "I fell from the sky?"
Hearing Kaizoku's answer, Sylphy burst into laughter. "Bwhahahahahah!"
Responding seriously, Kaizoku spoke the truth. "Don't laugh! I'm serious! I'm from another world!"
Hearing the words 'another world,' Sylphy immediately fell silent and change her expression into very serious. "Another world? ...Come with me."
"Why-" Before Kaizoku could finish his sentence, Sylphy covered his mouth.
"He's listening to us," Sylphy said with a sharp gaze.
"..." Kaizoku could only stay silent, seeing Sylphy's intense eyes.
"Now, follow me and don't ask too many questions... Hold my hand." Kaizoku grasped Sylphy's hand tightly.
"Void Walk." Sylphy cast the Void Walk spell, running at an incredible speed while holding Kaizoku's hand. All Kaizoku could see was darkness, but it was different for Sylphy, whose special eyes allowed her to see even in the void.
Sylphy's special eyes were called Spirit Eyes, a trait unique to her hybrid wolf-human race. Sylphy could run through the void using the Void Walk spell, which worked like teleportation but wasn't instantaneous.
It only took five seconds to reach the village. Kaizoku let go of Sylphy's hand, ran to a trash bin, and vomited. Sylphy watched him with a disgusted expression.
"Done?" Sylphy asked, waiting as Kaizoku vomited into the trash.
"Are you insane!? This is impossible! Why am I in this crazy world!?" Kaizoku shouted, kicking a large stone in frustration.
"Well, it seems like you'll have to get used to it. We still have a problem, follow me." Sylphy began walking, with Kaizoku trailing behind her.
The villagers eyed Kaizoku suspiciously.
"What kind of village is this... It's so dark," Kaizoku muttered in fear.
"Welcome to Shadowmoon Village, the village where it's always night, and there is no day. A village full of witches and night shops."
"What!? You brought me to a dangerous village!?" Kaizoku stared seriously at Sylphy's back.
"Oh, stop acting like a baby. This village isn't that bad, you just need to get used to it."
With every step they took, the villagers continued to give Kaizoku suspicious looks.
"Where are we going?" Kaizoku looked around at the villagers staring at him.
They wore old-fashioned clothes, and many of them had cloaks that covered their faces.
"I told you not to ask so many questions. We're almost there, and I ask that you don't talk much when we arrive, understood?"
Kaizoku lowed his head. "Understood."
A few minutes later, Sylphy stopped in front of a dark yellow house with open green windows. She knocked on the door.
A woman wearing a witch's hat and clothing (?) opened the door. The woman was slightly taller than Kaizoku.
"He's here." Sylphy said to the witch.
The woman looked at Kaizoku. "My my... So, you're the one who made it to this world. Come in, make yourself at home."
The witch invited them both inside. The house was filled with strange bottles? Colored bottles that looked very odd.
"Please, take a seat," the witch said, inviting Kaizoku and Sylphy to sit down.
"So... What's your name, handsome?" the witch asked Kaizoku.
"My name is Shageki Kaizoku." Kaizoku responded confidently, believing that if there was any danger, Sylphy would protect him.
"Oh my, Kaizoku-san, welcome to Shadowmoon Village."
