[▪︎Vaccian Moon, Milky Way Galaxy▪︎]
Walking through the long corridor surrounded by unblemished dark blue glass walls with the ceiling and floor made up of a material very similar to black marble, I whistle leisurely as I stop in front of a huge arched black gate.
It's only been a few hours since they fought and took this stronghold. Now, I'm heading to the meeting room where Holly and her trusted aides are at the moment.
Behind the gate, I can hear soft sounds of discussion between Holly and different other women, bringing a smile to my face as with a gentle nudge, the gate opens up.
"My Lord!"
The Amazonian warrioresses inside the room bellow in unison, falling on one knee as I enter the room.
The room is fairly large and oval in shape with every part of the room being made of dark glassy material with an oily sheen on them.
The Amazonian women—garbed in their blood-stained armor—are on one knee at the left and right sides of the room and in the middle is a hexagonal-shaped black marbled table surrounded by the high-ranking Amazonians—also on their knees—with Holly at the front head, directly facing me.
Unlike the rest of them, she's perfectly clean with not even a scratch on her.
"...My love."
Holly says warmly with a beautiful smile on her pristine face as I walk past the kneeling women.
"Did you miss me?"
I smile fondly as I stop right in front of her, using my fingers to caress her cheek while she holds my face with her palms, intense love brimming out of her smiling face.
"...Every single second."
She whispers and leans in for a kiss. We have a slow passionate kiss—deeply expressing our feelings—and stop only after I realize the women in the room getting a little bit uncomfortable.
"...We will continue later."
I whisper as we stop the kiss, a smile on my face that infects her and makes her show her pearly whites.
"Sure, at ease ladies."
She separates herself and says. Almost instantly, with efficient coordination, all of the warrioresses stand to their feet, their faces serious but their eyes sparkle with divine-like reverence towards us.
"What were you guys discussing before I came?"
I ask Holly calmly, standing by one of her Queensguard just a foot away from the front head as she swipes her hand through the surface of the table, making holographic images pop and hover on its surface.
A piece of Seraph is assisting her with the technological aspects of her war campaign.
"We were discussing our casualties. Just from this battle, we've lost nine hundred Amazonians, almost a thousand. Right now, the dead bodies are being gathered to be sent to Amazonia, for their souls to rest in peace."
Holly starts in the somber tone that makes the whole room silent and, facing me on the other side, the subtle sounds of teeth gnashing and fists tightening stream into my ears.
The other Amazonians in the room either have droopy sad eyes and expressions or faces as cold as ice with their eyes brimming with barely contained anger.
"...This is the second time we've lost so many sisters. It puts my heart at ease that they died for the newfound glory of Amazonia but... something doesn't feel right.
"The army we fought in this city was too different, it's almost as if they were Golems. I can still vividly recall their dead eyes that struck a deadly chill in my heart.
"Their movements, precision, awareness, and everything was in unnatural sync as if they were instilled with these from the moment they came out of their mother's womb. T-They are...not normal."
The ginger Queensguard next to me rests her palms on the edge of the table and says grimly.
Holly and the rest of the females in the room nod in equal fashion and with a few taps and swipes from Holly on the table surface, footage from the fight pop up.
This makes me arch a brow since I didn't expect them to notice this much difference. In fact, she isn't far off but it's way scarier than they think.
When I took a peek into their minds, I couldn't read them. Why? Because their minds were too clear to read, it's like they weren't even thinking.
That's why they were monsters on the battlefield. They had no fear, no moment of distractions, perfect body control, perfect coordination, stronger and more versatile bodies, etc.
They were focused on one goal and one goal only...that is to kill all foreign enemies on sight and that is what they did with clean efficiency till Holly shot them.
"Seraph, what can you tell us about them?"
I say seriously and the next moment—with a beep—the holographic displays change.
[From their main database, there's a secret section about what you are looking for. The soldiers the Amazonians encountered on the field took in a chemical called Zavest Crystals.]
She starts with a three-dimensional display of a crystalline object shown on the screen. It's in the form of a clear-cut diamond but it's deep violet in color with whitish specks swirling inside of it. This is interesting.
Focused and intrigued, everyone in the room keeps quiet and silently waits for Seraph to continue.
[The crystal is very soluble and sublimates when it comes into contact with high temperatures. Basically, it's comprised of a highly complex kind of psychoactive compound loosely similar to Psilocybin but exponentially more potent. One whiff is strong enough to kill regular human.
[Upon inhalation, the gaseous form of the crystal reacts with the cognitive functions of the user and produces very potent and controlled effects akin to taking large doses of let's say DMT and LSD combined.
[The most important effect produced by the crystal is: an ultra-clear state of mind completely devoid of any mental boundaries or limitations together with the user experiencing a surreal form of reality detachment.
[From some banned research, very high and concentrated doses can lead to death or give the user the extremely rare ability of Mindshifting—The ability to have full supremacy over one's mind—with some very detrimental side effects. Users like that are already dead and research concerning this is banned due to the risks and high fatality rates.]
She ends as the eyes of everyone in the room open in surprise, especially Holly's as she steals a glance at me.
Silent, the corners of my lips extend into a dark smile as my eyes flash with a mixture of greed, excitement, and lust at the thought of the effects of this substance.
...Due to my [Mind Manipulation] ability, I have a lot, almost total control over my conscienceness or mind but it isn't in the Realm of absolute supremacy.
The boost it will give to my [Psionic] capabilities alone is mouthwatering not to think of the other [State Of Mind] effects I can induce to make me more powerful.
This might be the key I've been looking for to finally extend the reach and capabilities of my mind exponentially...a key to supremacy.
"...Holly, I'll leave the total conquest of this moon to you. I have something important to do right now..."
I turn to Holly and say seriously with a meaningful smile.
Understanding my smile and tone, she nods as the Amazonians look at me in confusion.
"Understood, it's left with their capital stronghold then this campaign is done. I'm glad you could join us today, I'll see you soon."
She says with a smile.
Nodding, I double-tap my earpiece while creating a portal and command just as I'm about to enter.
"Send the [Workers] to where they mine this substance. And prepare a workstation. This might be what I've been waiting for..."
