Chapter 6: New Diet.
Chapter 6: New Diet.
*Celia’s POV*
With one evolution, I have basically become the top dog of this world. Well, the cell world, and this general area at least. I ate until my hunger Stat was full. But I also ate even more, just to get Exp.
Then a problem occurred… I get barely any Exp from these cells at all! Before I evolved, I was getting around 0.something, to even 1 Exp. Now, I can only get around 0.01ish Exp from eating these cells…
What the heck? Surely, I am not supposed to just eat thousands of these cells, right? I mean, the ones that are my size give me that little Exp.
Am I missing something? Is being the top dog not all it’s cracked up to be?… Ah, I see. Now I get it…
Get what? I looked up, and down… What I assumed was just life soup, was actually other cells. Big ones too! I guess that I am supposed to hunt cells that are bigger than me, and are higher level, for me to actually level up?
Damn… And I thought that I was going to have an easy second life. I just need to find ones that I can actually kill. I don’t want to go dying now, with all of the effort I’ve put in.
Sure, it seems like not that much effort, but that is because I am summarizing it for you. Doing this little mind diary thing, is really the only way for me to be able to stay sane at the moment…
Anyway, I guess that I should go and find some bigger cells than me. Not even going to attempt to mess with those huge ones at the moment. Did I say that already? Maybe I am going insane…
*Some Time Later.*
Hunting for cells that are bigger than me, but ones that I can actually kill, was a pretty annoying challenge. Only after searching for hours did I find one.
The problem is that this cell, which is decently bigger than me, clearly has so many major offensive abilities. Using inspect on the Cell, I could finally understand how outclassed I currently am by it.

I truly feel like I am playing Sp*re… Ah, I forgot that my Inspect skill actually leveled up. Now it tells me their Exp, HP, and what they drop when I kill them. I am kinda pissed off at how little Exp that it gives me, though…
A cell not dropping anything, is pretty par for the course. I mean, what would a cell even have on them in the first place? That makes me think, what would I drop if I die?… Best not to think about that, at least for now.
Now, as mentioned by its race, this cell is pretty big, and has electricity surrounding it. Like the cell that tried to kill me before, this one just floats along without any care in the world. Only occasionally opening its mouth to eat the cells that it killed by it floating near them.
I figured that there was no reason to not try to kill it, so I swam towards the cell. This, was a terrible idea… I was still decently far away from the cell, and yet, I was given a huge shock. Not as in a surprise, but as in, I was shocked by the AOE electric field surrounding the cell…

Fuuuuck! I barely tipped my nonexistent toes into that shock field, and it damn near killed me in one fucking shot! Damn… I guess that I should probably give up on killing this stupid cell. That is, unless I wish to die via electrocution…
Maybe there is a convenient upgrade that I can use to solve this situation? Doesn’t that always happen to those Isekai protagonists?
______________________________________________________________________________
Upgrades:
Weakness Sense: 6 SIP Required.
Prey Sense: 6 SIP’s Required.
______________________________________________________________________________
Yeah, what was I expecting anyway?… Whatever… at least these two upgrades give me a way to kill, and find things to kill. I even have enough SIP’s required to get them both! At least something convenient happened to me. I was beginning to think that I used up all of my luck just getting a second chance at life.
I acquired the two upgrades, and then I passed out. Unlike the evolution, upgrading wasn’t that painful. I did call it very painful before, but you try having your entire body be reconstructed, and see if you don’t end up changing your opinion as well.
Ah, right, the Weakness Sense, I haven’t tested out yet. As for the Prey Sense, I could now just “tell” where things that I can kill are at. This is pretty weird…
No. I do not have some cool minimap thingy, I can literally just “feel” where enemies are. Which is a cheat, in my opinion. Looking at the big cell, he was giving off a glaring warning sign to me, to not fuck with it.
I wish that I had this upgrade before I attempted to mosey on up to that cell… Oh well. Hindsight is 20/20, and in my case, 60/60. At least now I can tell which ones to avoid like the plague.
Speaking of plague, I wonder what happened after I died? Not like my world was destroyed by a plague or anything like that. But it is fun to wonder what happened, considering that I am most likely in a different world, so I will never know the answer.
Maybe those higher beings just gave up, and left that world? That would be for the best. Though, I don’t recall there being that many people left alive before I kicked the bucket…
While swimming to what I felt like was prey, I begin to wonder, why is it when the System talks to me, they give me a panel that shows up, and they voice it? Why not choose one or the other?
System: “Would you prefer that I talk to you directly in your mind?” She asked.
Celia: “What… can you read my mind or something?” I ask in my head with a nervous tone.
System: “Yes. Though, only I can do so, and I will never leak your thoughts to anyone else.” She replied.
Fuck… That means that she has heard everything that I’ve said up until now… Good job, me!…
Celia: “I am so sorry for insulting you in my mind…” I say with a remorseful tone.
System: “It is fine. Now, if you have any other questions, ask them. If not, then please continue on with your life.” She said.
Celia: “There is something that I am curious about. Did someone give me a second chance?” I ask with a curious tone.
System: “I cannot answer that question at this time.” She answered.
Ah… I figured. Whoever it was, they clearly do not wish to be known as the person who gave me this second life. At least, not until some arbitrary point where they eventually reveal themselves to me…
Well, I can’t do anything about it anyway. So, I should just continue with this whole weird situation. Man… I want to be a human again so goddamn much!
Hm? No! That same fucking cell is back again! I don’t know why that I know that it is the same one, I can just feel it. Which means that it didn’t get eaten. And now, it wants to finish the job, and eat me…
