Chapter 11: Fish Life, Smish Mith.
Chapter 11: Fish Life, Smish Mith.
*Celia’s POV*
Opening my eyes, I was on the ground near the pond. The frog like creatures were surrounding me, as well as glaring at me with an evil gaze. Trying my best to flop back into the pond, one of the frogs creatures jumped on top of me.
I am not a fucking chair! Get off of me! I say in my head as I try to wiggle him off of me. Which didn’t work at all. Look, I was actually joking about dying to these fucks. But now, there is a decent possibility that I will die by their hands… Or rather, webbed feet?…
The frog on top of me was kicked, and it went flying away. A being that looked to be just a normal human, showed up to save me. After shooing away the frog things, he picked me up and carefully plopped me back into the pond.
The man looked to be in his late thirties, and wasn’t really clean at all. His clothes were nothing to look at. Not destroyed, but clearly not of high quality. It seemed to be made with various scraps of other clothes.
Ah, thank you for saving my life, oh humble fish farmer! For this great deed, I shall not eat all of the fish in this pond. Don’t want him, and or his family, to go starving, after all.
Back in the water, my problem still persisted. And I was NOT going to pop back to the surface of the water again. Those frog things could easily come back, and there are most likely other creatures that would love to dine on my fishy self.
With nothing else to do, I explored the pond once more. I didn’t really explore it that thoroughly last time. I more of just did a cursory glance around it.
As I was lazy in my last search, I didn’t notice a hole in the pond. Said hole was one that all of the other fish avoided completely. Maybe something was living in it?
System: “Nothing is living in that hole.” She said.
Oh? Cool. I guess that I should just swim into it then. If something bad was going to happen, the System wouldn’t have told me that it was a safe hole.
There wasn’t a strong current pulling me into the hole at all. It was just calm water the entire trip. The hole was dark, and went on for a long stretch.
I emerged into a wider space. The hole seems to have led to an underground cavern. On the ceiling of said cavern, where various glowing crystals. If only that farmer knew that he was living right above a gold mine…
The light shining down into the water was quite beautiful. The crystals shined various different colors. All of which easily penetrated into the water. Dipping my head up above the surface of the water, I could see some terrifying things…
Near the water, were two creatures, who looked like fantasy Goblins. They were eating what looked to be a human corpse. I could swim pretty fast, and it took me an hour to reach this cavern. So, that farmer, and his family should be safe for now.
Using the skill that I had completely forgotten about until now, I used Inspect on one of the assumed Goblins. Trying to focus on my System, while hearing the sounds of them eating a corpse, was somewhat difficult…

:Summary:
A Primal Goblin, is a Goblin with barely any intelligence to speak of. They mainly dwell in deep vacant caves, or caverns. They act only as mindless and savage beasts. And are hunted due to how vicious they are. Their two pointy teeth, and both of their ears are valuable. Harvesting those from their bodies, is highly advised.

Oooo! A summary! How nice. I completely forgot that my Inspect skill had leveled up… Cool, it even showed me how hungry they are. One day, this Inspect skill will be God tier, I just know it!
As for now, I wonder what I should do? There isn’t anything living in the water of this cavern at all. So really, this whole trip was completely pointless…
Well, maybe I could mess with these Goblins? Thinking that, I dipped my mouth into the water, got some water in it, popped back up, and then I spat out the water at one of the Goblins.
I did that just to blow off some frustration. What I didn’t expect, is that the Goblin that I spat on, walked over to the water, and fell into it… Hey, sure, it is still dark in this cavern, but surely, you could see the water, right?…
Oh… and now it is drowning… If the description didn’t say that they were mindless, and horrible beings, I would have been sad for this dude.
System: “For killing a Primal Goblin, you have gained 85 Exp. And have gained the Title, Giant Killer.” She said.
Huh!? That counted as me killing it!? What the heck… Well, I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. The other Goblin, was still just eating away at the human corpse, not even caring that his companion just drowned to death.
It goes without saying, but I managed to level up from killing that Goblin. I should get the other one before it leaves. Though, what do Title’s even do?
System: “Titles have additional benefits. Some have draw backs, such as the Kin Eater Title. The benefit of the Kin Eater Title, is that you do more damage to your own Kin.” She explained.
Celia: “And the Giant Killer Title?” I ask with a curious tone.
System: “With that Title, you now do 15% more damage to beings that are twice your size.” She replied.
Wow… Titles are crazy good, it seems. Now for that last Goblin, I shot some water at its stupid green head, and just like its friend, said Goblin stupidly walked right into the water, and it also drowned as well.
Killing it didn’t give me enough Exp to level up once more, but I still got a good chunk of Exp. Which was Far more than those bottom dwelling pond creatures that I killed earlier.

It is kinda annoying that extra Exp doesn’t carry over to the next level… If only I liked to do math, then I would try to figure out how HP increases. But I am not bothering with that for now.
My other Stats went up a little bit as well. Honestly, I don’t think that I actually NEED to spend SIP’s at the moment.
With my current Stats, actually, even before I got to this level, I feel like I have already reached the limit of this form. Even with higher Stats, I am still just a stupid fish, after all.
Though, it is good to build up a decent base of Stats for when I have a human form. Now, what should I do? I guess that I can just swim back to the pond…
Oh shit! Another Goblin showed up! Fuck going back to the pond, I am just going to spawn camp this Goblin cavern until I have reached the level needed to evolve!
