Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]

Chapter 1: A New… Beginning?

 "Well, well, well… Who do we have here?" A student towering over my desk drawled out, a sick gleam in his eyes as he stared down at me. I glanced up at him and noted the scent he was emitting, he was a dragon.

I let out a slow breath as I shifted in my seat, I had prepared myself for an encounter like this throughout the night, whereby I had stayed awake throughout, being plagued by nervousness over resuming in this school today.

I already knew I was gonna attract attention as soon as I stepped foot into the school… because, that was something I've always been able to do without even trying, and I hated that about me so much, especially right now, because unnecessary attention is the last thing I need in my life in this entire situation.

A second student appeared at the side of the first student who was still towering over my desk, he slung his arm over the dragon's shoulders before his attention settled on me at full force. This new arrival was a vampire, if the tip of his teeth peeking from his mouth wasn't indicative enough, the paleness of his skin along with the burnt scent all vampires possess.

Because I was still yet to respond, the dragon slammed his hand down on my desk, jostling my pens and pencils and making them spill over the desk. I cursed in my mind as I slowly glanced up until I was staring up at the two students.

I slowly cleared my throat and my skin began to prickle because I could feel the rest of the class staring at me right now. The scent of their curiousity was strong in the air.

"Uh, I… I…" I began, unsure of what I was supposed to say.

That was another thing which I had carefully rehearsed throughout the night, but now, my mind was suddenly blank.

The dragon and Vampire exchanged a look and then they both burst into laughter, and in no time, the entire class was laughing.

"How the fuck did you get accepted into this school? Do you even possess any supernatural abilities?" The vampire demanded and I felt my heart stutter to a stop at his question.

It took a few minutes for me to get myself to breathe again.

"Is he retarded?" I heard one of the students murmur in curiosity, and another responded through a laugh.

"I don't know, man. I think he's just scared."

"He really should be scared though." The first one affimed.

"Um, my- my family recently m- moved, so I got enrolled here as fast as possible because I was already falling behind on…" I finally began to speak, carefully repeating the words I had carefully mastered over night, but my sentence was cut off before I could complete it.

"This school doesn't take in students mid term through. Everyone in the country knows this. So, how is it possible that you were quickly able to enroll here?" The dragon demanded, mouth in a thin line as he stared me down.

I shrugged my shoulders and cleared my throat once again. "I… I don't actually know, my student record was flawless, and…"

"Oh, please. We all know this school doesn't give a fuck about that." The vampire chirped in this time on an amused snort and I blinked up at him in confusion, not understanding what he meant by that.

Before I could gather my thoughts together, a third student which I hadn't noticed hovering beside the vampire and the dragon was suddenly in my face, peering at me closely and sniffing around me tentatively.

"What are you?" He demanded, nose scrunched as he pulled away till he was standing at a full height. This one was a wolf, a beta, telling by how low and watered down his scent was.

The dragon tilted his head sideways, eyebrows pulling together as he spoke. "Are you… human?!

~~~
 Where did it all start?
Certainly not here.
So, let's do a little recap together.
 My real name is Labyrinth… Labyrinth Blaise, and I used to be a warlock.
Well, until two days ago.
How did I suddenly lose an ability which I was born with? I'll get into it in a bit. But, let me begin from the very start.
~~~

 It was a warm evening.

I was in one of the large ballrooms here in the palace, trying to master a magic ability known as connecting with my inner magic, and letting it play the piano through my fingers. It was way harder than expected, mainly because I've never been able to fully connect with my inner magic like the rest of my siblings. My favorite and immediate older sister, Anya, was standing behind me, a focused look on her face.

"This is so fucking hard." I groaned under my breath as I stopped playing for the hundredth time, mouth forming an unconscious pout.

Anya laughed softly as she nudged me sideways and slid into my vacated spot, dainty fingers already hovering over the colorless piano keys.

"It really isn't. You just need to give into the magic inside of you and let it flow through your fingers seamlessly." She murmured, patient as ever. I let out a huff as I brushed my hair from my face as I spoke.

"Believe me, I've been doing just that but it still isn't working!"

Father had asked me to master this for over two weeks but I never fully devoted myself to learning it, until he suddenly informed me over breakfast this morning that I'd be showcasing my newly acquired skills at the ball he was hosting tonight. Which is why I've been trying to master an art which took every other magical being at least three weeks to master.

I won't ever end the dumb allegations at this rate.

"You need to take in a deep breath and hold it in before you start." Anya continued and I forced myself to focus, because my life depended on this lesson.

Father really hated disappointments, and should I embarrass him tonight by messing up in front of his important guests, I knew my punishment wouldn't be something tame.

After practicing for hours until my fingers felt like it was about to fall off, Anya forced me to stop, claiming that I had learnt enough and would have to work with all that I had managed to master. I wanted to protest but I knew I needed to get ready for the ball, and so I gave in and hurried through the spacious halls, heading for my bedroom.

I passed one of my five brothers in the hallway, the one who came right before Anya. He flicked my forehead as he walked past and I turned around and cursed him out but he only laughed without sparing me a glance. My entire siblings were quite annoying, well, except Anya. As for the rest of them, I sometimes find myself wanting to strangle them because of how annoying they were.

As I got ready after taking a quick shower, I sent a quick prayer to the winds, praying that I wouldn't mess up tonight, and also for tonight's ball to flow smoothly and end on a good note.

But, little did I know that the night wasn't gonna end on a good note.
