Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Opening Branches_2 [ Bonus Chapter]
TEN DAYS LATER
-------------------------
Time flew by and before they knew it, ten days had already passed. Nixie, along with some staff members, visited Anostmarch City, Greevale City, and Fallmoore City to scout out potential locations for their new restaurant.
Luckily, everything went smoothly and they found suitable spots in all three cities.
Meanwhile, Felix stayed busy by training the nine managers he had hired, ensuring they were well-prepared for their roles at Origin Restaurant.
Randolph Theophilus and Fiora spent the time getting acquainted with the various dishes on the menu.
---------------------------
In Bridgemoor City, Audaz District, on the fourth floor of the Origin Restaurant, Felix and Nixie had a conversation.
"Big bro, I'm exhausted," Nixie said, flopping down on the couch.
"You've worked hard. Go home and get some rest," Felix replied.
"No, I think I'll just crash here for a bit," Nixie muttered.
"Suit yourself," Felix said, settling in behind his desk.
Felix then turned to the system and requested to purchase new restaurant buildings.
After browsing through various options, he selected three stunning buildings - two Victorian-style and one classic - that matched the luxury and beauty of their current location.
"Show me the map of Greevale City," Felix instructed the system.
A detailed map appeared, with a red dot flashing near the city center.
"Nixie picked a great spot," Felix remarked, tapping on the red dot.
"Build one of the Victorian-style restaurants here." He instructed.
[ Affirmative Host ] the system replied.
Felix swiftly opened the maps of Anostmarch City and Fallmoore City, directing the system to construct the restaurant in the desired locations.
[ Building will be completed in five days ] the system said.
Felix grinned and closed the system interface.
Glancing over at Nixie, who was peacefully snoring on the couch, Felix shook his head. He got up and gently covered her with his coat.
---------------------------
Five days flew by in the blink of an eye.
On the fourth floor of the Origin Restaurant, Felix gathered his team in his office. The room was slightly crowded with Randolph Theophilus, Fiora, Clair Yearwood, Doyle Winterforge, Cole Silverthorn, and the other managers Felix had hired.
"Welcome once again, everyone," Felix addressed them with a smile.
"The reason I called you here is to let you know that the restaurants have been completed, so it's time to get to work." He said.
All of them were stunned for a moment and immediately started whispering among themselves faint excitement can be seen in their eyes.
Felix divided them into three groups, assigning each to a different city. "Clair Yearwood, Elode Wood, Taryn Frostbreeze, and Chef Fiora, you'll be heading to Greevale City," Felix announced. "Clair will be the Head Manager, Elode and Taryn will be Vice Managers, and Chef Fiora will be the head chef."
Clair was surprised but smiled at the news.
Felix continued, "Doyle Winterforge, Tex Greenspring, Quade Ironthorn, and Chef Theophilus, you'll be heading to Fallmoore City. Doyle will be the Head Manager, Tex and Quade will be Vice Managers, and Chef Theophilus will be the head chef."
"Cole Silverthorn, Raine Everwood, Cisco Glowdust, and Chef Randolph you are going to Anostmarch City. Cole will be taking on the role of Head Manager, with Raine and Cisco as Vice Managers, and Chef Randolph as the head chef ".
Felix scanned the room, making sure everyone was paying attention before he continued.
"Now that you know where you'll be going, I expect all of you to work together to make Origin Restaurant in each city a success. I'll be keeping a close eye on all of you. If you perform well, you'll be rewarded. But if you don't, I won't hesitate to find someone else to take your place."
"Don't worry, Mr. Felix, we'll give it our best shot," Clair chimed in with a smile.
"We'll do our best, Felix," Doyle and Cole assured him.
"Good," Felix nodded in approval.
Felix then turned his attention to the managers. "You'll all be starting from scratch in your assigned cities. You'll need to hire waiters, cooks, cleaning staff, valets, and more. You're on your own for this. If you face competition, handle it yourself unless it's a serious issue. Headquarters won't be stepping in to help.
Understood?"
"Understood," the managers replied in unison, their expressions serious.
"Good. And chefs, make sure to support the managers and help out when needed," Felix added.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Apart from that every month an examination team will be coming to the various restaurants to see how you manage the restaurants, I won't say the specific day but they might come at anytime of the month, so manage your restaurant very well if not then I'm sorry I will have to look for a new personnel " Felix added.
All their expression immediately turned solemn when they heard Felix, if they don't manage the restaurant well then they will have to kiss their positions goodbye.
"And also, as chefs, you can give pointers to the various chefs under you. If you find anyone talented enough to become a Spirit Chef, let me know," Felix added.
He gave a quick glance to all of them and asked, "Are there any questions?"
They all shook their heads, indicating they didn't have any questions.
"Good," Felix nodded.
"Now, all of you should go and prepare. Tomorrow, you will set off."
------------------------
The next day, outside the Eastern Gate of Brigdemoor City, people were bustling in and out of the city.
The gate was crowded with people, and guards in fine armor were keeping watch to ensure everything was under control.
A few meters away from the gate, outside the city, six huge carriages were being pulled by Magical Beasts horses.
A few people were standing in front of the carriages, chatting among themselves.
"Old friend, I guess we will have to get going now," Randolph patted Chef Gideon's shoulder and said.
"Randolph, you have to make sure you don't let Mr. Felix down, okay?" Chef Gideon said to Randolph.
"Don't worry about it, old friend. After all, he broke our curse, so I'll work hard to repay him," Randolph said.
Chef Gideon smiled and turned to Theophilus. "Theophilus, you also have to work hard to make the Origin Restaurant prosperous, okay?" "Got it, old friend," Theophilus gave a thumbs up to Chef Gideon with a wink. Chef Gideon chuckled and turned to Fiora. "Fiora..."
"Humph!" Fiora snorted and turned her head away. Chef Gideon smiled wryly and said, "Just take care of yourself. I'll come and visit you if I have time." Fiora's lips curled up when she heard Chef Gideon. "You better."
"Chef Fiora, it's time to go," Clair came forward and said to Fiora.
Fiora nodded and said to Chef Gideon and the others," You guys should take care of yourselves, I'll be going now ".
With that she entered of the carriages.
CRACK!
With a crack of the whip, the Magical Beasts horses pulled the carriage quickly followed by another carriage as they drove towards the distance.
Chef Gideon stood watching as the carriages disappeared into the distance, letting out a sigh as he shook his head.
"Old friend, I think you two should talk," Randolph said to Chef Gideon.
" I know " Chef Gideon nodded.
"Ok, I'll be going now. Take care of yourself. If we have time, we should grab a drink sometime," with that, Randolph entered one of the carriages as it quickly disappeared into the distance.
"Old friend, I will also be going," Theophilus patted Chef Gideon on the shoulder and boarded one of the remaining two carriages as it also quickly disappeared into the distance.
Chef Gideon stood in the same spot with a blank expression on his face. After a few minutes, he shook his head and headed back into the city.

On the fourth floor of the Origin Restaurant, inside Felix's office, Felix stood behind the huge French windows, looking out at the city below with a thoughtful expression.
"Big bro, do you think they can do it?" Nixie's voice suddenly sounded from behind him.
"What do you mean?" Felix asked without turning back.
"I mean, you're letting them handle everything on their own. Isn't that too much?" Nixie said.

"It's not too much, Nixie. If they can't handle this, then they're not worthy of managing the Origin Restaurant. This is just a test of their abilities. I want capable people who can manage the restaurant well, not incompetent individuals who will just leech off of me," Felix explained.
"Ok," Nixie nodded, looking at Felix with admiration in her eyes.
"Oh, I almost forgot, how is the procurement team doing?" Felix asked.
"Don't worry about that, big bro. Everything has been taken care of," Nixie smiled.
"But, big bro, I think it would be better if we had our own establishment like a huge farm for cultivating various farm produce and so breeding of various livestocks ".
Felix rubbed his chin and said," You are right about that but I think now is not the time, our foundation is not stable enough ".
