Blood demon leveling

After talking with Lily for a bit Mike was once again off to buy some breakfast, after buying some food at a local shop Mike and Serina made their way back to the house…

Time passed like this with Mike and the others heading to the dungeon five or six days a week for about a month, over the month three of the slave soldiers leveled up to level 3 while the other three were close to leveling up, during the time Mike meet with Lily multiple times and the two of them eventually became friends the group also went out drinking with the hammer party were Mike saw exactly what happens when a blood zombie gets drunk, it was not a pretty sight and there was two of them… Mike was visiting the temple daily now, he was so close to level 4 that he could almost taste it, so when the group once again headed to the 13th floor to explore Mike took most of the kills which the rest of the group was cool with, after all Mike hitting level 4 was to their benefit, Mike closed in on the greater hobgoblin that was both armed and armored in full plate armor, he slashed out with the knife and cut straight through the weak armor that covered the greater hobgoblin's neck and as soon as the knife passed out on the other side he muttered

"[Drink]"

Mike paused, he clearly felt like something inside him was on the verge of overflowing and spoke out to Julie that was dealing with another greater hobgoblin

"I think I'm there"

Julie slashed down at the collar bone of the greater hobgoblin slashing it in two with a single slash along with its armor before she asked

"You think you're where?"

Mike flexed his hand slightly before he answered

"I think I have enough experience to hit level 4"

"Are you sure?"

"...Yeah"

Julie gave a nod and a smile, she was happy that Mike finally was about to hit level 4 as he had been quite stressed about it lately

"Well then let's head back early"

"Yeah, let's do that"

The group quickly made their way out of the dungeon and instead of heading to the guild they headed straight towards the temple where Mike quickly got a prayer room and touched the crystal ball that as usual lit up with a crimson light signaling that he was not only a demon but also that he was guilty of numerous crimes, Mike waited for the crystal ball to show his status which it soon did

Mike gave a smile and touched the Y, then the wonderful feeling of growing stronger all at once hit him but only for a brief moment before it disappeared again, then he clenched his fists before he relaxed them again

Mike touched the crystal ball again and after it was done showing the crimson light Mike saw his new status

Mike monetarily despaired about the experience needed to level up to level 5 but when he saw he had received two new skills he was overjoyed and touched the fist of his new skills, [Blood storage]

Mike always kind of wanted to be able to store blood like this and had even thought about buying some vials and filling them with blood so he always had some on him, but then there was the problem of how long the blood could be sorted before it went bad so he was pleasantly surprised about the first of his new skill, then he waited for the crystal ball to reset before he touched his other new skill [Blood diabolism]

"Well… Looks like a field test is in order"

Mike then waited for the crystal ball to reset before he walked back out of the prayer room and out into the lobby where the rest of the group waited for him, he gave a smile when he saw Julie and walked over

"So… How was it?"

"I hit level 4 alright"

Julie showed a sweet smile meanwhile the three servants congratulated Mike

"Thank you, now let's go back to the dungeon, I have to test my new skill"

Julie agreed with a nod and so the group when back to the dungeon Where Mike promptly found a group of goblins on the first floor and proceeded to slay them with the knife, he felt that the goblins were even slower than before but he figured that it was because he had leveled up, looking at the blood that was spewed all over the floor and walls of the dungeon Mike gave a smile and muttered

"[Blood diabolism]"

Then something weird happened the blood it began to float up into the air and under Mike's will did it begin to form into a spherical shape, it was however not very round and after a few moments did it seemingly break apart again

"...This is going to take some practice"

Mike did not give up and played around with the blood, forming various shapes before he then tried to change its properties by freezing it, it went okay and the blood cube Mike had made slowly froze into a blood cube before he unfroze it again and continued to play around with it until finely he gave a nod and muttered

"[Drink]"

Then the blood that had hovered in the air slowly seemed to get sucked up by an invisible sponge before it disappeared completely, then Mike suddenly sat down on the ground, he had sweat on his forehead, Julie walked up to him and asked

"Are you okay Mike?"

Mike gave a nod and took her hand as she helped him up before he spoke

"Yeah I am fine, just felt like I moved a new muscle for the first time though"

"I see… Well then you'll have to practice your new skill some more tomorrow then"

"Yeah that was the plan"

"Well then, let's head to the guild and then back home"

"Yeah, let's"

The next day quickly arrived and as usual, the group headed towards the dungeon after eating breakfast, on the way to the dungeon they met with the hammer party and after talking a bit they decided to go drinking again in the evening, Hector also mentioned something about a job offer he had for Mike and the group but he kept acting mysterious and said he would tell him about it later, then when they arrived at the dungeon the group headed straight to the 12th floor and killed the boss before they continued onto the 13th floor to explore. After a long day of exploration, Mike walked into the guild with five pouches full of monster crystals and put them on the reception desk, after counting the monster crystals the receptionist spoke

"54 10th floor monster crystals, that comes to a total of 8.100"

"Thank you"

Mike took the money and walked out of the guild where he met up with the rest of the group

"Well then, let's go drinking with Hector and the others"

Soon they arrived at the same bar as to where they had been drinking with Hector and the others last time and sure enough as they walked in Hector waved at them and called them over

"Hey! We're over here!"

Mike gave a smile and walked over along with Julie and the three servants, then he sat down next to Hector and received a mug of beer from him as Julie sat down next to Mike and received a glass from one of the other members of the hammer party

"Cheers!"

Mike also raised his glass and called out

"Cheers!"

The next hour or so was filled with drinking eventually Mike asked Hector about the job offer he had for him and finally got Hector to explain

"It's a caravan job to the capital and it pays amazingly well with 10.000 per person"

Mike gave a slight frown as he spoke

"That sounds a little too good, right?"

"Yeah that's what we thought at first but apparently not… We have been a part of the same caravan a few times now and nothing's happened to us, the roads they take are safe too so it's a walk in the park"

"Well then, when does this caravan leave?"

"In about a week, six days from now"

"I see… Well then sign us up!"

Hector gave a wide smile as Mike missed a cold light that flashed through his eyes

"Sure thing bud, sure thing"
