Hi guys, take your chapter

I will take this week as a test to see how many stones we make and set the goal for the extra chapter.

Anyway, if we reach 10 comments for this chapter, I will give you an extra chapter this week.

-----------------------------------

Wilhelm POV

The battle took three hours to win until the royalist forces managed to retreat, well, if there were any survivors, as most of the Finns were waiting for us to be victorious and at the moment they are ambushing everyone who manages to get out alive from the encirclement we had made in the city with our cavalry, so their search for the rebel pretender caused a total failure for the royalists.

The preliminary reports I have received from my cavalry captains indicate that the royalist forces vary between twenty thousand and twenty-seven thousand soldiers. Given that we succeeded in killing over fifteen thousand of their forces, although we always acted in a safe manner, seeking to minimize any casualties in our participation in the battle, we had unfortunately deaths and quite a few wounded, some knights killed and some Finns who died fighting to protect the wounded and killed

although our casualties considering dead and wounded do not amount to more than a hundred, they are still significant casualties, as at the moment I have no way of getting recruits and I prefer to keep under my army the religious unit because within my ranks, there are many nobles who are religious fanatics and when they find out that those we serve are not Protestant or another branch of Christianity they will be furious, and it will be a problem we will have to face in the future

Although I am not a fan of personally entering the combat, at this time, I should have entered when it was already safe and only the remains of the enemy force were left, since I needed to at least stain my armor and clothes with blood because it would not be well seen to be surrounded by knights with crimson robes and I arrive at the meeting with those lords with a still shining armor, to be considered a coward is almost the same as being a pariah in a martial feudal society.

That's why when the battle was ending I joined the pursuit and managed to kill 2 men who had lost all their weapons and threw their armor to the ground to run faster, but that didn't help, since there is no man who can run faster than a horse, and they ended up being impaled by my spear while fleeing, at least I have a story to tell I just have to embellish it enough to make some glory hungry teenager's eyes light up.

As I surveyed the battlefield, my men had already begun one of the tasks that happens after a battle.

Most of my men are now working on one of the most important missions available, securing the loot, although I have a large amount of gold from the war indemnifications I got for winning the thirty years war, it never hurts to have more, as gold can solve a lot of problems

That's why we are now securing armor, weapons, boots and checking the pockets of the dead because this will mean a great income for my personal coffers for my next actions.

Besides, when we started the battle our first action was to capture the horses of the royalists because to secure their search of Robert house by house they had to act on foot and left their horses on the outskirts of the city, where they had a camp where they left the captured in cells to probably hand them over to the mad king, and he would have his entertainment by burning the captured in order to satisfy his madness.

When I made sure that the works to secure the loot were in order, I concentrated on securing the contract with the rebels.

I gathered my men, and we began to seek out the rebel leaders to begin our negotiation on my fee for my services, if I am lucky, I could secure fertile lands for my men, as I doubt anyone has the gold to pay so many mercenaries, now that I had already demonstrated the capability of my men, they should understand what could happen if I decided to go and offer my services to the other side

After searching for a few minutes, I finally found them, they had set up a camp on the outskirts of the city, to the north, where we had arrived marching before the combat began.

I managed to enter the camp without any difficulty, it seemed that the mistrust had finally disappeared, as the looks of mistrust had reduced considerably

my men and I walked until we came upon a fairly large and well decorated tent with banners of the rebel houses fluttering in the air

The guards seemed to recognize my heraldry and let me pass without trouble.

As you look around the tent, you can see a large number of nobles wearing their armor with heraldry to demonstrate their houses

"Ah, Hohenzollern, come forward, we were expecting you to join us in celebrating this great victory," said Jon Arryn, pointing to a seat at his officers' table

"Thank you, Lord Arryn, I come to give my report, my men, under my command managed to kill about fourteen thousand men of the royalist forces in the entire battle, during the combat, my forces secured the Targaryen camp securing the chests where the enemy commander kept the coins with which he was to pay his army and freeing the prisoners they had in their possession" I said with a serious tone I finished these words and everyone nodded their heads quite pleased'.

I made my way to the chair Lord Arryn had offered me and sat down to join the lords in their celebration.

As I sat down, a servant offered me wine, but I declined.

The lords had their eyes fixed on me, and the lord with the Baratheon heraldry began to smile.

"One question, Hohenzollern, did I say that correctly?" said the man with the stag crest looking at Lord Arryn

"Are you the commander of the knights with horns?", the Baratheon said, smiling

"I suppose you mean the knights of the Teutonic order, yes, I am their commander, and they are under my orders, have they offended you by performing their actions in combat today, lord?" I waved my hand for him to tell me his name.

"Robert, and I have not been offended, on the contrary, I am looking for the man who helped me against Lord Connington, when he helped me with my problem, I rode his horse and have not seen him again, he said his name was Charles," he said with a questioning tone

"Ah, the grand master of the order of the Teutonic knights, it must have been a sight to see him fight, he has the reputation of being a formidable duelist, he specializes in singular melee combat and eliminating his opponents in a matter of seconds with precision as flawless as it is brutal."

"Undoubtedly, he killed Lord Connington in a matter of a few blinks without giving him any mercy, it only took 2 blows for the mad king to need a new hand of the king "Robert said with a big grin.

Lord Jon Arryn cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

"Hohenzollern, I have a question for you, which has come up now while we were talking about you, who are you? , you know perfectly well the manners of nobility to be a mercenary and thousands of men in plate armor and with war horses, it is not something that just anyone can do even the richest lords in the seven kingdoms could not afford so many knights'' lord Arryn said with a serious tone.

''As I had said, I am the leader of a group of lost men who wish to return home, but if you ask about my titles, well, I'll make it quick, Wilhelm von Hohenzollern,King in Prussia,Margrave of Brandenburg,Sovereign and Supreme Duke of Silesia,Grand Duke of the Lower Rhine and Poznan,Duke of Saxony, Westphalia and Pomerania, of Lüneburg and Bremen,of Holstein, Schleswig and Lauenburg,Burgrave of Nuremberg,Landgrave of Hesse,Prince of East Frisia, Osnabrück and Hildesheim,of Nassau and Fulda,Count of Hohenzollern,Lord of Frankfurt''I said looking at Lord Arryn and saying my titles as short and quick as possible trying to omit other titles less relevant.

There were puzzled faces as they heard so many titles that probably sounded very strange to them.

''So, Hohenzollern, you are a noble by all accounts and above all a king''said lord Arryn in surprise.

''If you are supposed to be a king, what are you doing here, you wish to conquer the seven kingdoms, and you brought your soldiers here in the hope that with the rebellion that has broken out you could take the crown for yourself,'' Lord Hoster Tully said.

''As I said, we were returning home after we managed to finish winning a long war, but destiny was cruel and decided to play with us, we are lost, and I believe we will never return home, these lands are unknown to us, I had never heard of them'' I said with a kindly tone

''Well, Lord Hohenzollern I apologize for our previous behavior, you will understand that you appeared with so many knights behind you, it put us all on alert, thinking they were the mad king's forces'' said Lord Arryn, apologizing.

''You must not worry, lord Arryn, but what interests me is that we discuss my contract as a mercenary and how my services will be paid, since now, you could observe that my men are veterans of many battles, as it was observed in my intervention in this battle'' I said with a serious tone looking at the rebel leaders.

''Yes, I understand, lord Hohenzollern, but we need to know how many men serve under your command to determine if we will pay in gold or find another form of payment for your services'' lord Arryn said with a friendly tone.

''between my vassals' knights, orders of knight, professional soldiers and the non-combatants, the number should be very close to a hundred and fifty thousand soldiers, but if you allow me a little time to confirm exact numbers I would be grateful''I said with a friendly tone.

Upon hearing this, Robert dropped his horn where he was drinking wine and he wasn't the only one.

''by the standards here, this army must be huge, by our standards it's hardly considered a very small army''

''lord Hohenzollern, are you confident, if your army is so big, why didn't you bring it with you'' said lord Arryn very nervously

''because it would have required time, which you did not have, or we would have been too late to help your royal suitor, so I took the men who had accompanied me to parley with you at that time and managed to get some of my scouts to avoid surprise on the way'' I said with a kindly tone.

Just in time, when everyone was talking about the size of my army, a messenger from House Tully arrived to inform me that an army was approaching the camp from the north.

At the news all the lords went out to see what was happening, although the sun was still shining brightly, that allowed us to watch as huge marching columns of my armies approached.

When they verified that my words were not a lie and that a huge army was preparing to set up camp next to them, they decided to go back to the tent

We took our seats again, and many of those lords began to whisper among themselves.
