Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Surprise
Masaki felt better. She was now looking out of the window in her bedroom.
She sat on her bed and did nothing.
Masaki couldn't feel her power at all. It was like someone had ripped it off from her.
It was so painful that she couldn't help but shudder. She didn't want to feel like that again.
"I don't have power anymore. What should I do…"
She knew that in this world, loss of power was the worst thing that could happen.
Without power she couldn't protect herself or anyone important to her.
She remembered how hopeless she was when she tried to fight the hollow.
If it wasn't for Ichigo. She might already be dead. And he might have the same fate as her if he didn't have power.
Just the thought that her beloved son was devoured by that bastard she couldn't help but want to kill it by herself.
"It didn't matter if I die but my children."
Masaki clenched her fist tightly. Her power as Quincy might have already disappeared but her other power was not.
She brought her hand in front of her before the demonic power manifested.
It was sloppy, But if she trained hard. She was sure that she would be able to control it.
"I hate it, But I don't have any other choice. If I want to protect my family. I need it."
Masaki vowed that she would never let any of her children experience pain again.
She hesitated but finally she stood up from her bed and went to the closest to bring out an old but beautiful chest.
She hid it inside the closet not even her husband knew about it.
She opened it and there was an old scroll inside.
She picked it up then ripped it apart. The scroll then burst into crimson flame and went out of the window.
"There's no going back now…"
She sighed and then with determination wrote on her face. She went out of the bedroom then headed somewhere outside.
…
Ichigo followed Isshin to a place nearby.
It was an office building that wasn't far from their house.
Isshin nodded at the security guard who guarded the outside of the building. He nodded back at him with a smile.
Ichigo felt curious about the security guard. He could sense that he had a faint spiritual power coming out of him.
The security guard looked back at him and he showed surprise on his face before it went back to normal.
He just smiled at him then went back to do his guard duty again.
"Stay close to me and don't let your curiosity control you. This place is more dangerous than you thought."
Isshin warned him. Ichigo nodded and obediently did what he was told to.
In fact, Isshin didn't have to warn him because he already knew that this place was dangerous for him.
This place was full of spiritual beings that were far stronger than the hollow he had defeated.
If he were to be out of line. They might do something to him.
After walking for about ten minutes. Isshin then stopped and looked at Ichigo.
"We've arrived."
Ichigo looked at where they were. There was a door in front of them.
And there's a golden plate on the door.
"Captain room?"
Isshin knocked on the door. He then heard someone yelling back at him from the inside.
It was a woman's voice and she told him to go away as she hadn't finished the paperwork yet.
"It's me Yoruichi."
Isshin just shook his head and then spoke to her.
The sound in the room became quiet before the door opened by itself.
"Come in"
Ichigo felt like he heard this woman's voice from somewhere before but he couldn't recall it.
Ichigo followed Isshin inside and he saw a purple-haired chocolate skin woman in a fitting outfit working on a document.
She looked frustrated and exhausted.
She didn't even look at them before she spoke.
"How may I help you Isshin-san. It is very unexpected that you would step inside this place."
The woman knew his father and he remembered her. She was the ninja that killed the hollow before he could.
He didn't expect that she was the one that his father wanted to introduce himself to.
"I didn't want to come here to be honest but I have something to ask of you. Treat it like you return the favor."
Hearing about the favor. The woman named Yoruichi stopped working on her document then looked at Isshin and with a surprised face she looked at Ichigo.
She seemed to remember him.
"What is it? Is it related to this kid?"
Isshin nodded.
"You might not know it but he is my son."
"Your son?! Really."
Isshin nodded. Yoruichi didn't come to the human world much so she didn't know that he had a son.
Don't even mention the twin sisters.
She didn't have time to gather such useless information. Or there might be his family information but it was cataloged into not important information.
She looked at Ichigo deeply before she spoke to Isshin.
"Let me guess, You want me to train him right?"
