Chapter 302 - 302 I Can Predict
Chapter 302: Chapter 302 I Can Predict
Feng Jun could feel that the crow was somewhat aloof toward Zhang Caixin, but with the sweet apple cores to eat and an opportunity to stay in the courtyard, it didn’t hesitate to land in the yard and gorge itself.
Although Zhang Caixin didn’t listen to him, and ended up feeding the crow in the end, Feng Jun wasn’t angry, but rather a bit happy: The more you like this courtyard, the less you’ll resist it.
Because his mood was good, even when he received several calls from the capital city, he didn’t mind the caller leaking his information.
However, he didn’t want to go to the capital, and the caller’s illness did seem to have become a bit more serious. He had plenty of reasons to refuse.
His good mood lasted until just before dinner.
Zhang Caixin refused to have dinner in the villa, saying it was getting late and it got dark early now, so she needed to go home.
Feng Jun was a little unhappy, but the young lady pulled him aside and whispered to him, “I’ll try convincing my sister when I get back, to see if I can get her to move in with me.”
This move… could work! Feng Jun nodded with a smile.
Leaving aside vulgar thoughts about sisterly love and flying, as long as Sister Hong was willing to move in, she wouldn’t be able to escape from his grasp.
Who knows, maybe he could even discuss the “Soaring Dragon Royal Phoenix Union Technique” with her…
As for Zhang Caixin, her talent was indeed the most suitable for cultivation. But even without her, Mr. Feng had managed.
He still valued her potential more and hoped she could become his partner on the cultivation path.
Of course, he was also quite curious to see what would happen when someone with her attributes began cultivating.
Unfortunately, after Zhang Caixin left, she didn’t call again.
The next morning, Feng Jun was getting a bit impatient as he waited. He really wanted to make a call and inquire how her talk with Sister Hong had gone.
But in the end, he restrained himself. Why should he go out of his way to chase after someone who might not be interested?
One should not chase after a deal too eagerly. So-called opportunities should come naturally, and to force them would be a mistake.
He felt he had been a bit obsessed lately, apart from preparing supplies on his mobile phone dimension, he had been revolving around several ladies. This was not good. He hadn’t yet had time to take the “Golden Armor Charm” acquired from that dimension back to his parents’ home.
Right now, he had only one Golden Armor Charm. The five charms promised by Princely Heir of Yongyi Duke had yet to be delivered. It might be better to wait until they arrived before giving them to his parents. Otherwise, how would a single charm be shared?
In fact, the Golden Armor Charm wasn’t easy to use. It was a manually activated defensive talisman. It needed to be torn open in danger and wasn’t the kind that triggered automatic defenses.
He had a bit of a headache thinking how he would explain to his parents where the charm came from after giving it to them.
Since he had reasons not to go home for the time being, and seeing that it was still early, he drove out to buy a wooden clothes rack which he installed in the yard, essentially permitting the crows to nest in the courtyard.
In the afternoon, Feng Jing called him to meet at Guomao City.
Guomao City was a shopping center with places for customers to have tea and rest. But for that kind of open tea house, forget about trying to do anything discreet.
Feng Jun subconsciously didn’t want to go. After realizing his reluctance, he couldn’t help shaking his head with a smile. Now I really am becoming more vulgar, not interested in things that don’t benefit me.
Probably it was because he had been cooped up in the two dimensions for far too long. Pure Yin does not endure, sole Yang does not grow, without Yin-Yang Harmony, it’s ultimately not good.
At three-thirty, Feng Jun arrived at Guomao City and found the tea house on the third floor. Feng Jing was already sitting there.
Today her attire was very appropriate, no longer dressed like a problem child, but in casual clothes that were carefree yet not lacking in elegance, with a hint of intellectual charm, but still exuding youthful vigor.
Feng Jun walked over and sat down, smiling as he started the conversation, “You look like a university student. Have you been here long?”
“Not long,” Feng Jing put down her mobile phone, “I originally planned to shop with a girlfriend, but she had to head back to work, so I wandered around alone for a while and it felt meaningless, so I came here.”
After chatting for a bit, they started to order some tea and snacks. Feng Jun wasn’t accustomed to afternoon tea, so he just ordered a pot of Mao Feng tea. Feng Jing chose milk tea, desserts, and a dish of dried fruits. Although the quantity wasn’t large, her foodie nature was unmistakable.
After the tea and snacks arrived, Feng Jing sent a document to Feng Jun. It was an itinerary for a five-day tour of the East Three Provinces.
Feng Jun opened the document to see a well-prepared itinerary, but when he came across options like “Snow Village,” he looked up at Feng Jing and curiously asked, “Would you go to Snow Village alone?”
“Yes, why not?” Feng Jing answered without hesitation, then she smiled slightly, “Are you talking about the overcharging in Snow Village? That happens every year. Since it was just exposed, it should be better now, and… those are all part of cheap tour packages.”
Feng Jun came here originally planning to discuss stocks. Who would have thought that upon meeting up, travel would be the topic?
He thought for a moment, then seriously suggested, “I think, for you, a woman so beautiful and alone, going there is really not safe.”
“Beautiful? I’m getting old,” Feng Jing laughed dismissively, modestly brushing off the compliment, then she continued with interest, “I don’t see it as unsafe, but since you think so… you can accompany me there.”
“I have a lot of things on my plate,” Feng Jun laughed, spreading his hands, “So I need to wait a bit before making a decision.”
Feng Jing gave him a sidelong glance, “Wait a bit? I’m afraid you won’t be able to get a plane ticket by tomorrow, don’t believe me? Check for yourself.”
Feng Jun swiped open his mobile phone to check and, sure enough, it was true. He couldn’t help but click his tongue in wonder at the power of the Spring Festival travel rush, “I guess quite a few tickets are for people traveling to the East Three Provinces, right?”
“Anyway, I’ve got my ticket,” Feng Jing stirred her milk tea, speaking casually, “and the leave is approved.”
Of course, Feng Jun caught the invitation in her words. The thought of such a beauty traveling alone to the icy lands of the East Three Provinces made him worry for her—both because of human and natural elements.
He thought for a moment, pushed his mobile phone towards her, “Then help me book a set of plane tickets as well, following your travel guide… try to match the flight numbers too. I really can’t rest easy with you going all by yourself.”
Feng Jing didn’t take offense, grabbed his mobile phone, and began to operate it. She smiled and teased, “Now I can finally bring more clothes with me.”
“Huh?” Feng Jun looked up helplessly, “So you’re looking for a free porter?”
Feng Jing glanced at him, “You only bought a ticket, that doesn’t mean you’ll go. And I’m pretty strong myself, how else could I travel alone everywhere?”
“I’ll try my best to make it,” Feng Jun said with a smile, “I’m so concerned about you, isn’t there a reward for me?”
Feng Jing looked at him, with a hint of a smile, “What kind of reward do you want?”
If this kind of straightforward communication had happened before, Feng Jun would probably have beaten around the bush—considering it polite to save the other person’s face.
But now, he didn’t want to continue being so pretentious, so he straightforwardly uttered two words, “I want you!”
Romance is something to dabble in. He had plenty of groundwork laid previously, and turning over the cards now wasn’t rushed.
Feng Jing was taken aback, obviously she hadn’t expected him to be so forthright.
However, she quickly regained her composure and casually replied, “We don’t know each other well enough.”
“No worries,” Seeing that she hadn’t outright rejected him, Feng Jun shamelessly went further, “We can get to know each other better during the trip.”
Feng Jing answered noncommittally, “We’ll see if you can go.”
Feng Jun really wasn’t sure he could go, there were so many things he had to handle, but her not rejecting him outright was a good sign.
He took his mobile phone back, opened up the stock trading app, logged into his account, and handed it to Feng Jing, boasting somewhat proudly, “Take a look at my recent operations… I qualify as a ‘God of Stock,’ don’t I?”
Feng Jing took the mobile phone, saw the total amount, and was stunned for a moment. She looked up at him, “You started with two-fifty, right?”
The figure was a bit embarrassing, but Feng Jun had grown accustomed to it. He lifted his chin, “You can check the capital flow if you want.”
Feng Jing clicked around a bit, and the casual look on her face gradually faded away, “You really made that much, huh. Let me see your transaction records…”
She reviewed them for about ten minutes before finally looking up, her eyes filled with disbelief, “You established a good position, then did T+0… that’s how you made money?”
“Yeah,” Feng Jun nodded, speaking boldly, “What’s so strange about that?”
“Isn’t that strange?” Feng Jing’s eyes were wide, she spoke very seriously, “You make money every single time, every time… do you know what that means?”
“You and I both bought shares in Cangshan Tourism, I’m currently stuck, if I could do what you’re doing, I would have been out of trouble a long time ago!”
“Give me your account then,” Feng Jun held out his hand, smiling, “I’ll help you operate it and get unstuck… it would save me the effort of establishing a new position.”
Feng Jing looked at him and then shook her head warily, “No way… unless you tell me how you can trade so accurately.”
“Even if I told you,” Feng Jun grinned, “You couldn’t learn it… I have the ability to predict.”
Feng Jing laughed dismissively, “Predictive ability… keep bluffing. I have supernatural powers, you know.”
Feng Jun rolled his eyes, speaking languidly, “I knew it, no one believes the truth.”
Feng Jing blinked and propped her chin with her hand, looking at him with interest, “Show me your predictive ability now, and I’ll believe you.”
“Not interested,” Feng Jun shook his head, “I definitely don’t do things that don’t benefit me.”
What a joke, the stock market had already closed, and he didn’t have the ability to predict the next day’s trends.
Feng Jing bit her lower lip with her pearly white teeth, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke softly, “If you can really make a successful prediction, I’ll… I’ll have dinner with you.”
