Chapter 18: Back to the Beginning
Looking at Professor Paradox, Ben understood it was time for him to go back home.
Ben, turning to Ben 10K, said, " Guess it's time?".
Ben 10K, looking at him with a smile, replied, "Yes, it is".
Be,n thinking about the adventure he had with different versions of himself across the multiverse, having the Omnitrix he never thought he would have,e and finding out what truly Being a hero meant felt emotional.
Looking at Ben's emotional expression, Ben 10K said, "Don't make that kind of expression, Ben. We'll meet again, trust me".
Hearing that from Ben 10 K, Ben didn't feel like those words were Merely for counseling him; he truly believed that they would meet in the future just as Ben 10K said they would.
With anticipation of the future, he nodded.
Ben said to Ben 10K, " Got any advice for me?".
Ben 10K, with a serious expression on his face, spoke.
"Yes, always remember being a hero means having many responsibilities; if you don't have any responsibilities, Then you're not being a hero. Don't think your way is always the right way if you find yourself in a place where you don't know what to do, ask for advice from people you trust and know can make better decisions than you".
Ben listened carefully, nodded, and asked for anything else.
Ben 10K, coming in front of Ben, put both of his hands on Ben's shoulders and, looking Ben in the eye, spoke to him.
"Yes, one more thing, Always remember Ben. It's just a gadget. Be the hero."
Ben looked back at Ben's 10KS eyes, nodded, and said, " Yes, I will."
Ben 10K, looking at Ben's confident face and forum gaze, smiled and said, " I believe you will".
Ben is getting close to Paradox, Wave bye to Kenny.
Kenny also Waved bye back as Ben entered the portal with paradox.
Coming out of the portal with paradox, Ben saw his bike parked on the cliff side of the mountain. Looking up, he saw the same Star and muttered, "So I am back".
"Yes, you are right where it all began".
Professor Paradox spoke while looking at the night sky, just like Ben.
Ben, looking at Paradox suspiciously, asked, "Is there something you want to tell me?".
"I'm afraid I don't understand what you're talking about". Professor Paradox said that while having an expression as if he didn't understand what Ben was hinting at at all.
Ben, narrowing his eyes, explained, "When I left with you guys, I didn't know about anything. I don't have an Omnitrix, and I didn't have a clue about what time travel is. Now that I am back here I have an Omnitrix. I know who I'm supposed to be and I know what time travel is. If Ben 10k knew about the future/past, then you should have known everything too. That means you're the reason I have this".
Ben showed him the Omnitrix as he continued to say, "Why did you arrange for me to get this from Ben 10k, and why didn't you arrange for no Watch Ben to also get an Omnitrix somehow with your time knowledge or whatever?".
Professor Paradox, Putting his hand on his chin, said, "Why indeed, perhaps we'll find out in the future".
Ben looked confused.
Professor Paradox, smiling at him, said, "Some stories end where others begin".
Ben said, "I don't".
Professor Paradox interjected, "Get it, no, I don't imagine you do. We'll meet again, Benjamin. For now, I need to meet with a fellow observer." Saying that he opened a portal in front of him and walked in, leaving Ben alone.
As a portal opened in an unknown spaceship Professor Paradox came out from it looking around he saw someone
The Monitor stood as a towering figure, his presence exuding an authority that seemed to transcend time and space itself. Encased in a suit of gleaming armor, its surface etched with intricate patterns of unknown origin, he resembled a living monolith of cosmic power. The deep crimson of his chest plate contrasted with golden pauldrons that gleamed like captured starlight while a flowing blue cape billowed behind him as if stirred by an unseen, eternal wind.
Looking at the being in front of him, Professor Paradox said, "Hello there, we haven't met before. Well, I have, you have. We both have, but at the same time, we haven't".
The monitor spoke with his indifferent voice " Time walker, your existence is not welcome in this reality. The rules do not allow it".
Professor Paradox said with a smile, "And yet they haven't restricted me. Perhaps there's an expansion this time. After all, we're dealing with quite a unique situation, Which is very delicate".
The monitor, in his monotone voice, said, "And yet you almost broke the delicate balance even while knowing the consequences of that outcome."
Professor Paradox said, " Well, in my defense, I did not intervene in any of it. Whatever happened happened naturally".
The monitor said, " Which is the only reason why I haven't taken action and eliminated the anomaly before it becomes a variable that can become the Doom to the existence of the entire multiverse."
Professor Paradox pointedly interjected
"Multiverses prurol and you also left out the part where this variable can also be the key to save the existence of the multiverses".
The monitor didn't respond but his silence spoke for itself.
Professor Paradox felt a gaze upon him by someone that was becoming more and more obvious to him; he could feel it as if someone was draped over by a green clock gazing at him like a Spectre.
Giving the monitor a gentlemanly bow he said
" Perhaps I have overstayed my welcome so it is time for me to take my leave.
A portal opened in front of him as he entered, leaving this reality.
The monitor stared at the spot where the portal closed and was dispirited for a while, and then he spoke.
"Satellite show me the variable".
"Yes monitor"
In Front of the monitor a screen appeared that showed a blue planet zooming in it showed a young teenager riding a motorcycle on his left wrist there was a unique watch that was more than a watch
The Omnitrix .
