Becoming an Immortal Emperor, All Thanks to the Efforts of My Enemies

Chapter 108

Chapter 129: Such a Great Opportunity

The Third Prince was fast.

Having grasped some authority over this Cave Heaven, he could sense if something major entered.

Even more so…

He sensed the presence of Divine Grievance.

The arrival of Divine Grievance in the Cave Heaven was a huge deal.

While they bore curses, Divine Grievance did not.

If Divine Grievance entered the Cave Heaven and absorbed its spiritual energy…

That would spell disaster for their Cave Heaven.

The Third Prince was anxious.

In almost no time, he arrived near Great Cool City.

However, upon approaching Great Cool City, confusion set in.

“I clearly sensed the aura of Divine Grievance nearby, but why can’t I find it?”

The Third Prince scanned the area.

He even looked up at the sky.

The sky above Great Cool City was dark and overcast.

It looked like it was about to pour.

But the Prince didn’t care about that.

Great Cool was naturally a rainy place; dark clouds were normal.

His only concern now was the matter of Divine Grievance.

Then, the Third Prince searched the entire Great Cool and still found no trace of Divine Grievance.

This left him puzzled.

“Could I have misjudged?”

The Third Prince asked himself.

Meanwhile, his subordinates shook their heads, indicating there was no anomaly.

Finally, the Third Prince felt relieved.

But then he thought about it.

Divine Grievance, being a creature of boundless resentment, if it truly entered…

Survival of Great Cool would be in jeopardy!

With that thought, the Third Prince rubbed his temples.

“It looks like there’s just been too much going on recently!”

Just as he prepared to head back…

An old fortune teller appeared before the Third Prince.

Initially, the prince paid little mind to the old man.

After all, fortune tellers were a dime a dozen in this Cave Heaven.

But suddenly…

The old man inadvertently revealed a token hanging around his neck.

Startled, he quickly stuffed it back.

Although no one else saw it…

The Third Prince caught it clearly.

Three characters were inscribed on that token.

“Yama Palace!”

In that instant, the Third Prince concluded that this old man was definitely not ordinary.

After a moment’s hesitation, he walked over to the old man.

Once the Third Prince was in front of him, the old man looked up with a grin.

“Hey there, young lad! Want your fortune told? I’m super accurate—if it’s not, you don’t pay a dime!”

The Third Prince hesitated for a moment but then nodded.

“Sure, what do you need me to do?”

The old man instantly beamed.

“Just give me your birth date and tell me what you want to know!”

The prince nodded, providing his birth date.

The old man took a look, then began calculating with his fingers.

“Oh, the ashes will turn to dust!”

The old man’s smile widened as he looked at the Third Prince, who was momentarily shocked.

‘This fortune teller actually has some skill!’

For a brief moment, the Third Prince felt a spark of interest.

He gave his birth date again and asked, “What about my future?”

The fortune teller examined the birth date and started another calculation.

Then, he fell silent.

The Third Prince noticed the fortune teller’s silence and quickly asked, “Is there something wrong? You can speak freely, sir!”

The fortune teller glanced at the prince and, after a moment’s hesitation, said, “The future is limitless!”

The Third Prince paused for a moment.

He then asked, slightly puzzled, “If you see my future is so great, why does your gaze seem a bit off when you look at me?”

The fortune teller waved his hand dismissively. “It’s just that recently, many futures I’ve read are also limitless, and it’s too many! It’s making me wonder if I’ve made a mistake in my calculations!”

The Third Prince mulled this over for a moment.

“If you don’t think you’ve made an error, then this means that soon… a great opportunity will manifest in Great Cool City, and it won’t be small!”

Hearing this, the fortune teller thought it made sense.

“Indeed, that’s logical!”

Suddenly curious, the Third Prince asked, “If you’re not too busy with my fortune, what kind of opportunity could appear in Great Cool?”

The fortune teller chuckled. “That, I can absolutely do. However, reading about opportunities comes at a steep price—at least five million gold crystals!”

The Third Prince pulled out ten million gold crystals without hesitation.

“Go for it!”

The old man’s eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store as he stared at the sack of gold crystals.

He even pulled one out and took a bite.

“Alright, I’m diving into this!”

Once he spoke, the old man instantly sat cross-legged.

He formed a gesture with his hands—one pointing to the sky, the other to the earth.

“Boom~”

To the eyes of outsiders, a massive bagua suddenly unfolded around the old man.

Finally, that bagua pattern enveloped the entire Great Cool City.

The bagua spun, starting to manipulate the elements.

“Boom~”

At that moment, the fortune teller saw two colossal figures.

One giant had a thousand hands behind it.

The other giant had a circle formed by nine stars at its back.

Both giants stared at Great Cool City, then turned their gaze to the fortune teller.

“Hehehe, we are the great opportunity of this Great Cool City!”

As soon as the two spoke, the fortune teller saw the dark clouds above widen with myriad eyes.

It felt as though the entire sky was filled with eyes.

Then…

The fortune teller sensed two massive shadows looming.

He watched as the two giants reached down with enormous hands toward Great Cool City.

“I-I can’t even!”

The fortune teller quickly ended his reading and started packing up his things.

The Third Prince was utterly bewildered.

“Sir, what’s going on?!”

The fortune teller turned pale as he frantically packed, yelling, “Run! Big opportunity is coming to Great Cool!”

The Third Prince was like, “??? Wait, we have a grand opportunity, why are we running?”

By this time, the fortune teller finished packing and was ready to bolt.

But the Third Prince grabbed him again.

“Sir, if there’s a big opportunity, why leave? Trust me, if it’s really big, I’ll make sure you get half!”

The fortune teller got a bit irritated. “Let go of me!”

The Third Prince didn’t intend to let go.

The fortune teller exclaimed, “Listen to me, we can’t take hold of this grand opportunity!”

With that, he broke free from the Third Prince’s grip, ready to escape.

But just then…

The fortune teller was blocked by someone halfway through.

“Old Jiang, you did well! You even got to the inner city before us!”

The Shadow Guard grinned, looking at the fortune teller.

The fortune teller’s smile was more pained than joyful.

“Uh, haha, I just got lucky!”

Just as he arrived, he bumped into a familiar face.

The Shadow Guard was full of mirth.

“Stop with the chit-chat! Come on, let’s go! Big brother’s treating you to some good eats today!”

The fortune teller could only nod in painful agreement.

Though he complied, internally he was screaming.

“Ancestors, are you there? Can we still escape?”
