Chapter 108: Tsunade’s Hemophobia
After knocking Shizune unconscious with a single punch, Tsunade headed to the designated meeting spot with Orochimaru—a remote, open-air corridor near Tanza Street.
By the time she arrived, Orochimaru was already there, seated in a wheelchair and being pushed by Kabuto, waiting for her.
As Tsunade looked at her former comrade, one of the legendary Sannin who once shared the pride of Konoha with her but now sought to destroy it, a flicker of complex emotions flashed across her eyes. However, the moment quickly passed, replaced by an expressionless face.
Orochimaru, sitting in his wheelchair, also gazed at Tsunade without speaking a word.
Finally, Tsunade broke the silence.
"I'll heal your body, but... you must not touch Konoha," she demanded.
A flicker of understanding passed through Orochimaru's serpentine eyes, as if he had expected this request from Tsunade.
"Hehehe... alright."
Tsunade slowly approached Orochimaru in his wheelchair, her hands glowing with the vibrant green light of medical ninjutsu, ready to touch his arms that were bound by the cursed seal. Just as her glowing hands were about to make contact, a powerful surge of chakra radiated from Tsunade's body.
Cracks resembling a spiderweb appeared on the ground beneath Tsunade's feet—the telltale sign of the Senju clan's monstrous strength!
Orochimaru's pupils contracted, and Kabuto, reacting swiftly, pushed Orochimaru's wheelchair aside and retreated just in time to avoid Tsunade's strike.
Her punch, imbued with tremendous force, hit the ground, creating a massive web of cracks that spread across the floor and even reached the surrounding walls. The sheer destructive power of the punch was evident.
Orochimaru stared at the cracks on the ground, his snake-like pupils narrowing into thin slits.
"Why did you wait until now to betray me, Tsunade? Are you really trying to kill me?"
Orochimaru continued, "I swear, I was genuinely going to revive Nawaki and Dan, and I agreed not to harm Konoha…"
Tsunade lifted her fist from the ground, her gaze firm, no longer clouded with uncertainty.
In a flash, she appeared above Orochimaru and Kabuto, fully displaying her Kage-level strength.
Heavenly Foot of Pain
Tsunade raised her left leg and slammed it into the ground with incredible force.
The impact was far greater than her previous punch. The ground around them immediately crumbled and collapsed, the power of the attack was several times stronger than before. Tsunade was now fighting at full strength, her monstrous might on full display!
Kabuto, unable to rescue the wheelchair in time, quickly grabbed Orochimaru and barely managed to dodge another of Tsunade's devastating attacks.
"Come on, Orochimaru," Tsunade growled as she glared at them, her eyes brimming with battle intent.
"I'm going to end you both, traitors!" Tsunade threw off her cloak and resumed her assault, using her monstrous strength to attack Orochimaru with unrelenting fury.
Kabuto moved Orochimaru behind him, and suddenly, the four Sound Ninja who had been hidden nearby emerged, prepared to defend Orochimaru.
"If she lands a hit, it could be fatal," Orochimaru warned Kabuto.
Kabuto nodded, removing his glasses which had shattered from the shockwave of Tsunade's previous attacks.
"Facing one of the legendary Sannin like Tsunade... the pressure is overwhelming," Kabuto admitted, taking out a soldier pill and swallowing it.
He closed his eyes for a brief moment, then reopened them, now fully adjusted to fighting without his glasses. His hands glowed with chakra as he plunged them into the ground.
Suddenly, a pair of hands burst through the ground beneath Tsunade, attempting to grab her by the legs.
"Medical ninjutsu, huh?" Tsunade swiftly leaped into the air to avoid Kabuto's attack. In the blink of an eye, she reappeared in front of Kabuto, ready to strike him down with her monstrous strength.
But just at that crucial moment…
A sinister smile spread across Kabuto's face as he sliced his finger, causing blood to gush out in bright red streams.
As Tsunade charged toward him, ready to deliver a finishing blow, her eyes suddenly widened in terror. Her gaze fixated on the blood, and an overwhelming fear consumed her.
Memories of Dan and Nawaki's deaths resurfaced, crashing over her like a tidal wave.
In this critical moment, Tsunade faltered, bending over and becoming immobilized by her fear.
Kabuto, now grinning maliciously, taunted her, "A medical ninja who's afraid of blood... suffering from hemophobia... how ironic!"
His hands surged with chakra once more as he prepared to strike down the helpless Tsunade.
