Chapter 121: [120] Kaoruko's Assistance
Chapter 120: Kaoruko's Assistance
Although the family was now living together, the complicated interpersonal dynamics at home left Yuta feeling overwhelmed, to the point where he had no idea how to resolve them.
The situation with Sora and Miu, for example, was something he planned to address years down the line. Neither of them was of age yet—the oldest, Sora, was only fourteen—and Yuta felt it was far too early to consider such matters.
As for Sasha, Yuta admitted he might have gone a bit too far previously, but now Sasha's attitude was baffling him.
That evening, when everyone had returned to their respective rooms to rest, Yuta decided to seek help from the master bedroom.
Sasha wasn't staying in the master bedroom. The original Japanese-style room had been given to Belldandy, and Sasha was now sharing a room with Miu.
Meanwhile, Sora and Hina were in another room together.
Miu, noticing that Yuta was once again preparing to sleep in the living room, had casually suggested having a chat with Sasha instead.
Frustrated, Yuta picked up his phone and sought advice from the one woman he believed understood women best.
"Kaoruko, I need to ask you something."
Kaoruko, still recovering from her back injury, was lying on her stomach to rest. Hearing Yuta's words, she smiled faintly. "Oh? So you're not even going to call me Aunt anymore?"
Knowing Kaoruko was a bit annoyed with him, and considering that he needed her help, Yuta softened his tone. "Auntie, I need your advice. Will you help me or not?"
"What is it? If it's something physical, forget it. My back hasn't been great these past two days, and I'm afraid of making it worse," Kaoruko replied, her tone casual but entirely serious.
Ignoring her remark, Yuta dove straight into the topic.
His relationship with Kaoruko was unique—there was no need for pleasantries, no lies, and certainly no deliberate deception.
They shared a certain unspoken understanding, though their attitudes toward each other weren't particularly friendly.
"It's about Sasha," Yuta began. "She's been acting the same way she always does toward me these past couple of days, and I don't know how to approach her to clear things up. I want to know what's on her mind."
Kaoruko, her hand resting on her back, rubbed it lightly as she tilted her head to hold the phone and replied nonchalantly, "I can guess a bit about Sasha's thoughts. Don't blame yourself—it's not your fault. Even without Belldandy, I or some other woman would've ended up in this situation with you. By the way, my back still hurts a bit. You're not going to class tomorrow, are you? Come take care of me."
"I can't believe how demanding you are. I'm busy tomorrow; I'll be moving all day. Just rest for a couple of days, and you'll be fine," Yuta replied curtly, refusing to visit Kaoruko. He knew that seeing her would only worsen her injuries.
Kaoruko wasn't pleased with his response, but her curiosity about the move got the better of her. "Moving? Isn't your place fine as it is? Did something happen again?"
"It's nothing bad," Yuta explained simply. "The place I'm living in is too small. I'm moving to a bigger place—Belldandy's house. She wants us to live there."
Kaoruko narrowed her eyes, contemplating his words, and quickly spotted the oddity. "I don't think you're the type to impose on others. I also can't imagine you bringing three mischievous girls and a woman you've barely any relationship with—yet somehow have a history with—into another girl's house."
This was one of the reasons Yuta found Kaoruko so aggravating. She had a way of pointing out things he didn't want to acknowledge.
"This has nothing to do with you. And I was the one asking you. I want to know what Sasha is thinking," Yuta emphasized, making it clear that this was his only reason for reaching out to her.
Kaoruko didn't mind Yuta's attitude. She was someone who acted on her own will and decisions, unaffected by others' interference once she made up her mind.
Having decided to be one of Yuta's women, Kaoruko was determined to shape him into a man capable of handling relationships with women effortlessly.
Her assistance extended beyond physical help and experience—it included insights into women's psychology and emotional understanding.
"Sasha is a good woman. Her focus is more on family than on love. Not to say she doesn't value love, but when it comes to choosing between the two, she prioritizes family matters. You should have noticed this as well. The reason things happened so quickly between you two wasn't just because you couldn't hold back—it was also because Sasha saw your union as a way to strengthen family ties."
Yuta listened patiently, realizing Kaoruko was spot on. Back then, it really was his lack of restraint that led to what happened. If he had resisted, Sasha wouldn't have come to his room so quickly.
"Previously, because of the objections from the two girls, Sasha temporarily put aside the idea of marrying you for the sake of maintaining family harmony. Even if you were willing to marry her at that time, Sasha would have focused on helping you with personal matters rather than risking a rift with Miu and Sora by pushing for marriage."
"As for now, I think Sasha isn't focused on competing with Belldandy for your affection. Instead, she's primarily concerned with maintaining the current balance in your household. As long as you allow her to stay within your family, she won't leave, nor will she openly talk about her relationship with you."
Yuta frowned in confusion. "Sasha isn't the kind of woman to give up so easily. I feel like something's off."
"That's true," Kaoruko replied with a smile. "But if you were in her position, what would you do?"
She continued, her tone calm but laced with meaning.
"Imagine this: You're in your late twenties or early thirties, with your only relative being raised by Miu, someone you can't bear to leave. Then, one day, 17- or 18-year-old Miu, completely unfazed, walks out of the bath and shows herself in front of you without a second thought. Later that night, when you enter Miu's room, she pulls you in without hesitation."
Her words left Yuta momentarily speechless, the complexity of Sasha's position beginning to sink in.
"Exactly. So, do you think you still have the right to care about certain things? Do you believe you're qualified to disrupt Miu's happiness, or do you think the decisions Miu made at her age would leave her without regrets when she grows up?"
Kaoruko's words left Yuta silent. After considering things from a different perspective, he began to understand Sasha's current mindset.
"So, Sasha feels guilty toward me, and that's why she's withdrawing?" Yuta asked with a sigh.
"Hmph," Kaoruko scoffed dismissively. "No, Sasha hasn't withdrawn at all. Men and women are different, and you still don't understand a woman's thoughts. Right now, Sasha's outward calm is masking an even more passionate inner desire. All it would take is one phone call, and she'd come running to your bed in the middle of the night, using her passionate heart and body to melt you completely!"
"The more I hear, the more confused I get. So, in short, there's no problem with Sasha, right?" Yuta had originally planned to talk to Sasha, but now he felt it might be better to postpone that conversation.
Kaoruko, unconcerned with Sasha's situation, didn't press the topic further. Instead, she spoke with the lazy tone of a mature woman, "You need to learn to slowly understand a woman's thoughts. Don't worry—I won't introduce you to any women. If you want to understand a woman's mind, or even her body, you can come to me."
Yuta raised an eyebrow. "Your back doesn't seem to be a problem anymore, huh?"
"This time, consider it payment for the help you gave me today! But if you want my help again, you can wait for it!"
Kaoruko ended the call in anger, fuming.
This man is hopeless—he doesn't even appreciate a woman throwing herself at him!
