Awakening to a Special-Grade Explorer

Book 3: Chapter 78

"Oh, it's Gremlin. I found just the thing."

Tenji was on his own and pleased to find Gremlin just out of sight.

Gremlin is a green-eyed, third-grade monster with a strength often not seen in the monsters from the 11th level.

But in this level, there are primarily fifth and fourth-grade monsters.

Immediately--- Tenji summons the Red Demon's Dagger.

The Red Demon's Dagger has a black blade and a 30 cm long handle covered by a red cord.

Tenji held it forward and rushed out vigorously.

"Grrrggggggh!"

Gremlin senses a "thump" and reflexively turns the eye in that direction.

A young man was coming toward him at breakneck speed. Tenji held a dagger, so he hurriedly prepared his sharp claws.

"---Well, how many times until you get drunk?"

Tenji grinned and muttered ferociously.

At that moment, the young man disappeared from Gremlin's sight like a poof. The Gremlin's dynamic vision could not keep up with the Tenji's speed. Tenji had an improvement in his speed.

"Grrrr?"

The next thing he knew, he had a single red mark etched on his cheek.

"Oops, it doesn't work. I knew the odds were against me."

"Grrr?"

The Gremlin continues to search Tenji in a state of confusion.

"Gwyck!"

"Grrrggh!"

The Gremlin did not catch sight of Tenji.

A few seconds later, he found himself with red stripes carved all over his body, and there was red blood slowly pouring out.

"Whoa, that's the fifth time."

By the time Gremlin heard the young man's voice, Gremlin's head was severely reduced in its ability to think. He could no longer make sense of the world.

His cheeks naturally loosened, and his head became fuzzy and hot. Then he staggered to a halt, unable to remember any steps. He uncontrollably leaned against a nearby tree.

"Grrrrreeeee......ghhhhhhh"

Seeing that Gremlin could no longer stand properly, Tenji took out his phone.

He typed a note there saying, 'Gremlin, the fifth time - drunken debuff.'

This was an experiment in drunkenness probability that he has been testing recently...

The book said 20%, but he wanted to know its body sensations. So, when Tenji found the right monster like this, he didn't immediately stab it but instead debuffed the 'drunkenness' effect by only scratching him.

"Well, if I do the math roughly, I've got a one in five chance of getting the drunkenness debuff."

After typing for a while. Suddenly, Tenji puts away his phone when he sees Gremlin standing up as if the drunken debuff had been lifted. He also put the dagger back into the 'Book of Enma.'

He then summons a new Red Demon Sword to his hand.

"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"

Gremlin roared in anger.

Gremlin felt extreme fear and then moved into a state of rage.

The monster that became this angry seemed to eliminate all debuff effects from its body. The drunken debuff of the Red Demon's Dagger was quickly drowned out.

"Ho, ho."

Tenji swung his Red Demon Sword at the Gremlin, who was frantically running toward him.

Tenji swung his sword more vigorously as he saw the tip deeply into his neck.

Before Gremlin had time to raise his voice, Tenji slid down sloppily from the neck up.

The body only walked a couple of steps and then collapsed forward. The corpse immediately began to form ore from the edges.

"Lucky, I got a third-grade demon ore (gem). Now I'm sure to get more than 20 points. Then, Goblin-Kun, you stay here as usual."

"Onii."

"When the demon ore is reduced to the size of your palm, bring it to me."

"Oni, oni, oni."

Tenji tells Goblin-Kun that much and begins to proceed through the forest randomly.

No hell realm slot for the Red Demon Species can summon new Goblins. The points can only be used to buy lanterns at the Hell Granny's store.

Still, Tenji collected as much demon ore as he could gather and converted it into points, considering the possibility that he might need a large amount someday.

Since he has been in Mallorca, he already has over 1000 points in his possession.

[The point is to save. Well then, let's do some more drunkenness verification before going back to Chigo-chan.]

Since arriving here in Mallorca, Tenji has been very busy and lively.

There are many reasons for this, but the biggest reason is that his financial problem has been resolved for the time being.

Before coming here, Tenji had received massive support from Chigo personally, including two years' worth of food, living expenses, and tuition. In addition, all of his expenses in Mallorca were now covered by Chigo. Not long ago, when he was living with the next day's food money in mind, it now seemed like a bad dream.

He also signed a contract with Leon to pay off the 70-million-yen debt by doing all the household chores so that Chigo could live without any complaints in Mallorca. It would be more accurate to say that the agreement was made semi-forcibly.

'No need to worry about money.'

With just this, Tenji's feelings were surprisingly light.

And then it was time.

The alarm on his phone rings out in the forest. Hurriedly stopping the irritating sound of the alarm, Tenji checks the time.

"Oh my God, it's already that late. I have to go back."

The time is already 11:45. In another 20 minutes, it will be time to finish the class on practical dungeon exercises.

After this, he must meet up with Chigo and the others and return to the fountain plaza of Tulace Central Pablo on the third level to write their names on the safety and end-of-lecture lists.

Otherwise, this lecture will not be over.

"Well, let's see..."

Giggling and standing tall, Tenji changes his mind.

"We'll have lunch, then it's full-blown training in the afternoon. Let's go for it."

Tenji immediately called the Goblins back and converted the demon ore into points.

"--Yes, good job today. You're dismissed."

Tenji, Chigo, and Fuyuki returned to the fountain plaza at Tulace Central Pablo after joining the group without problems.

There, a woman from the school's administrative staff is waiting for them, and Chigo signs on their behalf that the lecture is over on the tablet given to her. Doing so meant that this lecture ended without any problems.

This is the way it works because teachers are the authority, and they don't have to bother to contact the school.

"What shall we have for lunch?"

Chigo asked them with an excited look on her face.

[TLC: C'mon, Chigo, you just had those Muffins and Tea.]

But, Tenji is still unfamiliar with the restaurants and such in Mallorca, so he immediately turns to Fuyuki, who has lived here for nearly two years.

Fuyuki muttered a small "Well, it's me who decides, isn't it??" and turned to Chigo.

"What kind of food do you want to eat? Seafood, Italian, Spanish, thick steak..."

"mmmm...... mmmm...... steaks!"

"I'll go with a famous steak restaurant on the first level. So, let's go there." Fuyuki replied.

Tenji's mouth was overflowing with sloppy saliva when he heard the word "steak."

Of course, Chigo also gazed at Fuyuki with sparkling eyes.

"Haha, you two really are a pair of eyes when it comes to good food, aren't you? Then let's go early. That place is popular, so it will get crowded."

"Let's go now! Steak!"

"Shouldn't we run? I should run, right? Steak, right? Oh,...... when's the first time I've had a steak? It should be absolutely delicious."

When it comes to food, Chigo and Tenji always get out of control.

As expected, after a few days together, Fuyuki was aware of this and had a parent-like feeling that he had to be the stopper.

However, their desires are slightly different.

Chigo simply has a stronger desire for food than most people.

Tenji, on the other hand, is blinded when it comes to delicious food as a subconscious reason for his life of poverty.

"Haha, don't run too fast."

Chigo and Tenji tug at the calm Fuyuki's hands and drag him forcibly to the front of the fountain.

Fuyuki could no longer help but laugh at the sight.

"Go to the first level."

Tenji and Chigo's voices hummed together.
