Chapter 9: -9- Your brother beat up your dad!
"Boom!"
"Bang!"
"Thud, thud, thud!"
"Snap!"
Outside the tavern, a group of gang members who were waiting for Vander and Linwin to finish their conversation and planned to go in for a drink suddenly became alarmed. They heard the sounds from inside.
It was the clashing of metal and the thudding of flesh.
Like ants on a hot pan, they hurriedly opened the inn's door, wanting to rush inside to see what was happening.
Linwin and Vander, the second-in-command and the leader, what were they doing? Were they fighting?!
However, the first one to open the door, Greg, was sent flying out, along with the five people behind him.
Greg was knocked unconscious, and Vander stood up from Greg's body. He first looked apologetically at Greg and the few people crushed under him.
Vander then turned to the front. He used his fingers to block one nostril and forcefully exhaled through the other, spraying a darkish liquid on the ground. He then wiped his mouth and spat out some fresh blood. He looked at the young man who had come out in surprise.
"Come on Boss, don't look at me like that, Silco gave me at look already."
Vander grinned. He had been kicked by itLinwin and sent flying over ten meters. The sensation was like being struck in the chest with a pneumatic hammer.
This guy... was he really this powerful?
Vander prepared himself and then made a slight motion with his right hand.
Linwin was not one to hold back, especially after the conversation with Vander. He had genuinely wanted to give Vander a beating and really wanted to!
Moreover, with the influence of alcohol, Linwin didn't care how others would view him. He charged straight in.
With an agility of seventy, Linwin broke through Vander's defenses in just two breaths and penetrated Vander's side.
Vander couldn't keep up with Linwin's speed, but years of combat experience allowed him to quickly respond, contracting his body and side-blocking with both arms.
"Bang!"
His iron arms slightly caved in, and Vander retreated a few meters. But his hand had also grabbed Linwin's leg.
Linwin's powerful roundhouse kick landed heavily on Vander's arms.
"Huh!"
Linwin was somewhat surprised.
Vander also saw Linwin's surprise. He gripped Linwin's leg and shouted, "You brat, do you think I survived through all these years with nothing?"
He spun around, holding Linwin's leg, intending to throw Linwin out. But just as he flung Linwin away, Linwin put his hands behind his back.
Then...
Even though Linwin's fists were a few meters above the ground, the ground suddenly crumbled, and an almost three-meter depression appeared out of nowhere. Rocks flew, and a few even hit Vander in the face.
At the same time, Linwin's foot flew back and landed squarely on Vander's face.
But even though he had held back in the end, Vander pointed at Linwin, his face showing confusion.
Vander was somewhat puzzled.
Was... was that magic? No, Linwin was a Zaunite for as long as he knew; he couldn't use magic.
However, if it wasn't magic, how did he do it?
Linwin had actually adjusted his body in mid-air and rebounded back to deliver a kick?
With this kind of confusion, Vander fell into a daze. Before losing consciousness, he scolded Linwin.
"You brat, you really kick hard..."
Seeing Vander unconscious, Linwin, who had moved around, felt somewhat sober.
After fighting with Vander, Linwin realized that he surprisingly felt very comfortable.
At the same time, Linwin also felt a sense of certainty.
All along, he had been protecting Vi and Powder, helping Vander maintain order in the Undercity. Over time, acting under the mask, Linwin had been somewhat dubbed as the "Undercity's Enforcer" by some barons.
This time wasn't much different. Once again, he was here to protect Vi and Powder.
But what was different this time was that Linwin decided to take a stand.
"Sevika."
Linwin called out into the crowd.
A woman with a very disdainful expression emerged. She looked at Linwin, then at Vander on the ground, and finally at the half-meter-deep pit. While Savika's expression remained cold, her eyes twitched violently, revealing her true thoughts at this moment.
"Drag Vander back. When he wakes up, tell him he lost. When you're the loser, you have to listen to the winner," Linwin ordered.
Sevika and another person lifted Vander, but she looked at Linwin, 'What did you and Vander say?'"
"Want to know?" Linwin raised an eyebrow.
Sevika and Greg looked at Linwin. These two were among the few people Linwin paid attention to, mainly because they were strong.
Especially Sevika, despite being a woman, was exceptionally skilled. Before Linwin's arrival, whenever something happened in the Undercity, Vander always sent Sevika.
This indirectly indicated her combat prowess. She was very likely the third strongest in the Undercity.
Of course, Vander was the second strongest.
And the first, undoubtedly, was Linwin.
Now, in all of Zaun, there was no one who could beat Linwin!

"But I'm not telling you," Linwin brushed past Sevika, smiled, and walked out.
"You..."
Sevika looked coldly at Linwin, then, together with another person, took the unconscious Vander back into the tavern.
"Linwin, why did you fight Vander?"
"My goodness, that move you just made, what was that?"
A group of people followed Linwin, asking him.
Linwin looked at the person who asked about the move; he had an exaggerated hairstyle and hair color.
"Wanna learn?"
"Yeah!"
"Run fifteen kilometers every day, do a hundred sit-ups, a hundred push-ups, a hundred squats, a hundred pull-ups. After three years, you might catch up to me."
"Really?"
Linwin looked at him; he was a very skinny kid.
"Well... at least it will definitely make you stronger."
----------
"Oh no, oh no, oh no!"
The door of the dilapidated square metal house was opened, and a girl with pink hair lowered her head, showing a displeased expression.
In front of her was a little guy who was panting, with a dark complexion, looking a bit shorter than Powder.
He had short white hair, delicate features, but was smeared with some white.
"Little guy, what's the fuss?"
"I knew you would be here!"
"Huh, little guy."
Another person appeared behind Vi; she looked at him, somewhat happy. "Why did you come now? I thought you would come find me as soon as I returned."
"No, something's wrong, something's really wrong!"
"Come in and tell me!"
Vi pulled him inside.
Claggor saw him and smiled happily, "Ekko, why are you here?"
"Wait... Yes, yes, Powder, your brother beat up your dad!"
"What?" Vi was stunned, unable to process.
Ekko grabbed Vi's hand, shaking it hard. "Linwin, Linwin knocked Vander unconscious!"
Vi turned pale, grabbing Ekko in turn and asked loudly, "Why would something like this happen?!"
Suddenly, Ekko hesitated.
An expression of difficulty crossed his face.
Recalling the things he overheard, he didn't know if he should reveal them.
It was harmful to Vander, and at the same time, it was evidence of Vi's wrongdoing.
But in the end, gritting his teeth, Ekko still told Vi.
Because, compared to Linwin, Vi was his boss!
