Chapter 73: Wanda In Black Silk Stockings, Ch 35.2
Since a meal had been delivered right to him, as a wolf, he naturally wouldn't let it escape, especially since he could smell that enticing aroma.
Surrounded by the swirling mist, her beautiful, versatile face was flushed, radiating both innocence and allure. Her watery eyes were deep and glistening, and just having woken up, there was an air of naive purity mixed with seduction about her. The corners of her lips, usually tempting, now trembled slightly, possibly due to nervousness.
"Um... I'll just step out for a second..."
Wanda hurriedly tried to push Hode aside; after all, she was already exhausted. She had no desire to continue; fighting took a lot of energy. Although Hode was the main force, the interaction of strength was relative.
"Aren't you going to wash up?" Hode grabbed Wanda's wrist.
As a gentleman, he felt it was his duty to remind her to maintain cleanliness.
"Do you want me to die?!"
Wanda panicked. What kind of joke was that! Yesterday had been too crazy. Could they really do this again?!
She found herself biting her lip involuntarily.
Hmm...
She couldn't help but think that Hode's physique was no laughing matter. His abdominal muscles were well-defined and muscular.
"No, actually, there are many places we can use." Hode said with a sly smile.
"What do you mean?" Wanda was momentarily stunned, her mind not processing his words.
In her moment of distraction, Hode reached out and brushed his fingers against her lips.
Oh my...
Wanda's eyes widened with surprise.
...
...
...
A while later, in the dining room.
At the dining table, Hode looked at Wanda sitting across from him.
Wanda touched her rosy lips, her clear eyes shimmering with tears, and her pale pink face exuding allure. It was all just too embarrassing!
"Come on, you must be hungry!"
Hode grinned mischievously as he handed her a glass of freshly heated whole milk.
Wanda felt utterly flustered, nearly spewing it out—there was no flavor at all.
"If you don't want it, then forget it. There's a saying that one should supplement form with form; I need a boost!"
Hode drank all the milk in one go.
Seeing Hode's expression, Wanda immediately knew he was doing this on purpose. She would never be able to look at whole milk the same way again.
"Alright, I'm done joking. I'll be more careful next time."
Hode stood up and ruffled Wanda's hair, laughing as he spoke.
"There won't be a next time; you can come by yourself next time..."
Wanda was both angry and embarrassed.
This guy was actually thinking about a next time!
Such a sordid affair—if she did it once, she would regret it for the rest of her life!
At that moment, a servant approached. "Sir, there are two middle-aged men in costumes who want to see you."
"Who?"
Hode asked, puzzled.
Men in costumes? He didn't seem to have invested in any movies.
Maybe he did?
He couldn't recall, given that he had so many businesses to manage, and he couldn't oversee everything every day.
"He claims to be Doctor Strange,"
the servant replied, sounding intrigued.
"Oh, it's just a magician. Let him in."
Hode was surprised he had come by.
What could Doctor Strange want from him?
Apprentice?
He certainly didn't want to go to Kamar-Taj to become a sorcerer; the thought of practicing all day, cutting himself off from the world—it was unbearable!
It was better to just give up!
