"The scenery here is really nice," Hode remarked, looking up at the leaves swayed by the gentle breeze.

He rarely visited Queens and was surprised to discover such beautiful views.

The scenery was pleasing, and the beauty beside him was even more enchanting.

Under the glow of the sunset, Gwen appeared even more charming.

"Yeah."

Gwen looked deeply at Hode beside her: "I love it here. I come almost every day."

Only in the park could she temporarily escape the emotions that had been weighing her down.

"I thought people in Queens would be tired of this view by now," Hode teased, turning to Gwen.

"When my dad was in a coma, I often came here to stare off into space when I was feeling down."

Gwen met Hode's gaze, her lips parting slightly: "But my feelings are completely different now; everything is finally getting better!"

At that time, to help support her family, she had to work while also fighting crime to uphold her sense of justice.

She hardly had any personal time, and only during sunset could she spare a few minutes to appreciate the sunset.

Now that everything was finally getting better, she felt as if she were dreaming.

"As long as you stay optimistic, a lot of things will improve," Hode said with a smile, ruffling Gwen's hair and lifting the corners of his mouth slightly.

He understood that Gwen had already endured enough.

To put it plainly, she was just a student after all.

Just then, a waft of fragrance hit the air as a soft figure suddenly leaped into his arms.

The refreshing citrus scent filled Hode's lungs with each breath.

He stared down at the fragrant beauty in his embrace, momentarily stunned.

He hadn't expected Gwen to leap at him at that moment.

An instant silence enveloped the air, and neither spoke; Hode held Gwen close, enjoying the warmth of the moment.

"Um, did you bring a gun when you went out?"

After an awkward pause, Gwen spoke in a flustered tone.

"Ah?" 

Hode's expression turned a bit embarrassed: "It's normal to carry a gun when going out!"

"Oh."

Gwen didn't leave; instead, she blushed and held tightly onto Hode. 

"Shall we go eat?" 

Hode glanced at the time and awkwardly spoke up. 

"Sure." 

Gwen nodded slightly and took the initiative to hold Hode's hand. 

Hode asked, "By the way, where's the restaurant you found?" 

"It's nearby; we'll be there soon." 

Gwen led Hode out of the park, feeling the warmth in their hands, which stirred mixed emotions in her heart. 

"By the way, Hode, you're quite familiar with Wanda, right? How long have you known each other?" 

She had been thinking about this since yesterday; otherwise, Wanda wouldn't have gone out alone with Hode. 

"We're familiar, but we've only known each other for a week." 

After saying this, Hode couldn't help but scoff internally. 

"We're already familiar enough that she knows my strengths and weaknesses, and I know hers." 

Still, he was speaking the truth; they indeed had known each other for just a week. 

However, due to the Phoenix Force and Chaos Magic, they both felt a strong connection. 

"Oh, so you've only known each other for a week." 

Gwen felt a rush of excitement upon hearing this; it was much better than she had expected. 

After all, she didn't know what kind of relationship they had. 

All she could sense was that the two seemed quite intimate. 

"Where's the restaurant you mentioned?" 

Hode stopped and looked around, asking. 

"Over there," Gwen pointed to an upscale restaurant in the corner. 

The sign read "Saint Is Restaurant." 

"Saint Is?!" 

Hode twitched his lips and raised an eyebrow slightly. 

Wait, if he remembered correctly, Wanda had also made a reservation at this restaurant!
