"You look beautiful today!" 

Hode was captivated by Gwen's appearance and didn't hold back his praise. 

"Thank you." 

As she met Hode's intense gaze, Gwen awkwardly tucked her hands behind her back, her mind flooded with memories of the previous day. 

Yesterday, she had acted impulsively, showing more boldness than usual. 

"Uncle Krew, one pound coffee, please!" 

Hode called out to Uncle Krew before turning back to Gwen with a smile: "Sit down for now; this coffee is really good!" 

As someone experienced in romance, he knew that often it was better not to ask but to take the lead. This would enhance a man's charm even further. 

"Okay." 

Gwen cautiously sat down across from Hode. 

"You weren't this shy yesterday; you were much more daring." 

Seeing Gwen's current demeanor, Hode couldn't resist teasing her. 

"I..." 

Gwen's face turned red as she glanced at the coffee that had just been served, hurriedly taking a sip. 

However, it was too hot, and she couldn't help but gasp. 

She lowered her head, well aware that she had acted too impulsively. While Hode was indeed handsome, what she did was quite inappropriate. 

"I'm just kidding. After we finish our coffee, let's head to the hospital to visit Mr. Stacey." 

Hode refrained from continuing to tease Gwen and shifted to a serious topic. 

"What about... the equipment and stuff?" 

Gwen had noticed that Hode hadn't brought any equipment with him. 

"No need for equipment; let's just go take a look!" 

Hode shook his head. 

"Just a visit?" 

Gwen felt a bit disheartened, thinking Hode might have the skills to treat her father. After all, he had brought her so many surprises... 

... 

St. John's Hospital in Queens. 

This was the best hospital in Queens, bustling with people every day. 

"Gwen! Over here!" 

As soon as they arrived at the hospital corridor, Gwen's mother, Helen, called out to her, having arrived early to wait. 

"Mom!" 

Gwen quickened her pace and brought Hode over to Helen. 

Helen looked at the young man beside Gwen and asked, "Who is this?" 

"Mom, this is Mr. Hode!" 

Gwen hurriedly introduced Hode, explaining that she had told Helen yesterday that she would bring someone to help her father. 

"He?" 

Helen looked Hode up and down, her expression slightly puzzled. 

This guy doesn't look like a doctor; he's too young and looks quite affluent. 

"Mom, I'm going to take Hode inside to take a look." 

Gwen quickly pulled Hode inside, then explained, "Don't mind her; my mom is really worried about my dad." 

"No problem." 

Hode brushed it off and turned his attention to the figure on the bed. 

George appeared pale, looking as though he had been in a coma for quite some time. 

"He's been in a coma for over six months," Gwen said, her eyes welling up with tears. 

Helen, coming in behind them, embraced Gwen and asked, "Do you think he can wake up?" 

"Uncle's condition is very poor; normally, he may not wake up again," Hode said after only a quick glance, delivering his judgment. 

This left both mother and daughter looking pale, their hearts filled with sorrow. 

But then Hode shifted his tone, "However..." 

Buzz!!! 

Hode's palm began to shimmer with a faint light, a detail unnoticed by the two women. 

But the next moment… 

"Cough cough cough!!!" 

George in the bed suddenly began to cough violently, his eyes opening wide as he gasped for air, looking utterly confused. 

Seeing this sudden turn of events, both mother and daughter were stunned, tears streaming down their faces! 

"Dad!" 

"Darling!" 

Gwen and Helen rushed forward, embracing George with tears streaming down their faces. 

Hode smiled benevolently as he stood back, watching the family reunite. 

Meanwhile, the symbols on his palm were still glowing.
