Chapter 63: V2 Chapter 13 Colosseum
"We're here." Decker announced but I was currently a little distracted to put it mildly.
At this very moment I was just a little in awe at the truly monumental structure in front of me. "Damn...and I thought the other places we've been to recently were huge but this, this takes the cake by a fucking mile..."
As for what the structure actually looked like, well, I can't really give a full description of it to be honest, mostly because it is so big that I could only see a very small part of it. The damn thing looked like a massive obsidian black city inside of a glowing football stadium made out of towering multicolored crystals. Despite looking like multiple different buildings all in the same area it was all one massive interconnected structure, it had to be hundreds of kilometres in size at the very least.
"I'm surprised you're not feeling sick after going through another portal to get here."
"Oh believe me, I feel like shit." I groaned in annoyance. "However, after experiencing it so many times I'm starting to get used to it."
"A shame..." He said, causing me to roll my head at him.
Anyway, after a second he spoke up and asked something else. "So then, after you get enough RP you'll be heading off, right?"
"Yeah..."
(Still, there is so much that I need to remember and keep in mind moving forward.) I thought while remembering back to a certain conversation we had a while ago.

"Colosseum?" I echoed with a somewhat questioning expression.
"The Colosseum is a place where Alternatives can go to earn RP, unfortunately it does cost a small fortune to actually get in and use all of the facilities for any significant amount of time." Yennora answered only for Anna to quickly add.
"It is basically kind of like an amusement park or an arcade, one filled to the brim with all kinds of games and challenges that give various rewards depending on certain factors."
Hearing the part about the cost to get in I glanced at Decker who shrugged. "Don't give me that look." He muttered, correctly guessing that I didn't really feel right borrowing money from him. "After all, when you've been at this as long as I have, paying for such things isn't an issue in the slightest."
"Instead of worrying about the payment you should be more concerned about the potential of a certain asshole showing up." He hissed with an annoyed expression.
"Well, he is an Overseer, those lot have always been rather eccentric to say the least, and that's not even mentioning all the titles he has." Yennora chuckled weakly with a look of displeasure on her face.
As for Anna, well, she simply purred and said. "I actually think he's quite entertaining to be honest."
(I feel like I've been forgotten...) I thought while feeling just a little awkward about the whole situation.
"What exactly is an Overseer anyway? Also why does it matter that "he" has a bunch of titles?" I said with a slight cough to get their attention again.
"An Overseer is basically an extremely powerful Alternative, they were each picked by one of the Administrators for a specific purpose." Yennora explained.
"To put it in another way, they're basically the lackeys of the Administrators, they get a bunch of benefits and the Administrators get a useful pawn that isn't just another copy of themselves." Decker added with a low growl.
"As for titles, well, they are kind of a status symbol among Alternatives." Anna hummed as her ears flicked ever so slightly.
Yennora nodded at that before adding. "They're really hard to get, however they give you a lot of benefits to say the least, even just having one can give you a massive edge over your fellows."
"How do you get them?" I was a little curious.
"You have to get Chaos's attention somehow, a fact that can be incredibly difficult or incredibly easy depending on their mood at the time." Decker responded while crossing his arms.
(I guess that makes sense.) I thought before asking one last question.
"Do you guys have any?"
"That is a secret." Anna chuckled mischievously.
(I'll take that as a yes then...)
_ _ _Current Pov_ _
(Titles, Gifts, Skills, Administrators, Mentors, Overseers, so many things to keep in mind and I have the feeling there is still a crap ton of stuff I'll have to learn about.) I was both interested and nervous about that fact to be honest.
"By the way...what the heck is going on over there?" I asked when I noticed a large group of people gathered just in front of the Colosseum's entrance
"Motherfucker..." Decker growled, seemingly recognizing one of the voices within the crowd.
The crowd was made up of Alternatives of all kinds and shapes, for example there was a seemingly sentient tornado made out of what appear to be crows as well as a giant orb-weaver arachne like lady wearing a wedding dress of golden webs. Curious as to what exactly was going on I looked over the top of the crowd, a fact made easier thanks to my position on Deckers shoulder.
"To think he'd show up out of the blue like this."
"I can't believe I'm actually going to see him in the flesh!"
"I wonder why he's here, maybe there's going to be some kind of announcement?"
(Is there a celebrity here or something?) I hummed as I noticed a figure in the middle of the crowd.
To be honest I was a little confused, mostly because they were saying "he" but I'm pretty sure the person they were looking at was female. Anyway, the woman in question was some kind of demon or draconic being from what I could tell, if the pitch black horns were anything to go by. Moving on though, she had silver reptilian eyes that seemed to glow ever so slightly and white hair which was tied into twintails that reached down to her waist. As for what exactly she was wearing, well, she had a gothic maid like dress that was seemingly made from shifting black starlight.
"Attention please." The woman in question hummed with a completely calm and near emotionless look on her face, a fact that caused the surrounding area to go completely silent as everyone almost immediately went quiet. "Today I have the esteemed honour of presenting..."
"You've got to be bloody kidding me..." Decker grumbled, causing me to glance at him confused somewhat.
"Lord Grandius Maximus..." As she began to speak, shards of glass slowly began to materialise out of thin air.
"Ringmaster Of The Nexus Colosseum..."
"Ravager Of Order..."
"Hated Enemy Of Balance..." More and more appeared swirling around in a vortex, unseen light reflecting off of them to form quite the interesting light show as she continued.
"Bringer Of The Eternal Catastrophe..."
"Lover Of All Things Mad And Random..."
"He Who Laughed And Broke The Sky..."
"The Static King Of Television..."
"Chranic." Finally the shards of glass fused together, merging into a singular humanoid entity.
An entity that's laughter sounded like echoing TV static as they began to speak. "HeLlO lAdiEs AnD geNtLEmeN!"
The being, who was male from what I could tell, had appeared was somewhat bizarre to say the least. Firstly, he had three flat screen TV heads each with a grinning face that rotated in a triangular formation above his necklace body. Additionally within the center of the rotating TVs were four conjoined rings of green light that occasionally sparked with chaotic energies.
As for his body, well, it looked relatively human with only a few differences here and there. For example, his body looked somewhat stretched out, simply put he was unnaturally tall and lanky, kind of like Slenderman in a way. Additionally he had four arms, the bottom two looked like completely normal human arms while the top set were so long that they could probably trail across the ground if he slouched down only slightly.
Moving on, he was wearing what seems to be a mixture between an overly fancy dark green and black business outfit and a circus ring master's costume with pale white gloves covering his hands. Moving on however, he had various wires of different colours neatly wrapped around certain parts of his body such as his arms and legs.
Overall though, something about the guy just made my body stiff and my instincts scream. So yeah, just looking at him made me uneasy for some reason I couldn't quite understand.
(It should be fine so long as we don't end up interacti-) Before I could finish that thought however I was cut off, mostly because the person in question suddenly, and rather sharply I might add, turned his attention towards us, a fact that made Decker curse out loud.
"God fucking dam-!"
"DeCkER mY dEaR FrIENd!"
