AI Doctor : From Slave to Beast King

Chapter 121: Rescued

Damien didn't waste his time quibbling with him. He finished preparing the potion and activated his skill.

[Potion Infusion has begun.]

[Please wait.]

[Potion has been absorbed.]

"Let's get this over with." Damien walked as close as possible to the temple before raising his hand and releasing the potion that he had just absorbed. The fumes wafted from the tips of his fingers, and Damien let it circle around the cloud of mosquitoes.

The green fumes rose and rose higher until they reached the top of the funnel. Soon the scent of citronella scattered all over the vicinity, and the Mist Mosquitoes disappeared.

The mist that was covering the temple slowly dissipated and soon thinned, until it completely vanished.

"You are here," Wistoria said. Though her tone was casual, she obviously looked really relieved.

"I am," Damien glanced at Xavier and Levi after taking a look at Wistoria.

All three of them were covered in blood.

"Are you all alright?" he asked.

"What do you think?" Levi sourly replied as he walked out of the temple; his right leg was bleeding, and he was walking with a limp.

"What happened to him?" Damien asked as he turned and looked at Xavier.

Xavier's mouth was twitching as he replied, "He tried to slice his way through the mist despite Lady Wistoria telling him not to. He is lucky that he only received a little injury and didn't lose his entire leg."

"He would have if you hadn't pulled him back," snorted Wistoria. The reason she brought this man with her was because she truly thought that he would be of help to her. But Levi was far more impulsive than she thought.

She then turned to look at Damien and asked, "Where were you? I thought I was going to turn fifty by the time you arrived." Continue your adventure with m|v-l'e m,p| y- r

"Sorry. I had this cheetah beatsman chasing after me; from the next time if something like this happens, I will ask them for a time out. I will first rescue you and then go back and resume my fight," Damien said sarcastically.

The woman raised her head and looked at him with a cold gaze, and he was certain that she was going to change the map of his face, but Wistoria only snorted and then walked out of the temple.

Xavier, who didn't leave, walked over to where Damien was and said to him, "I thought you were done for."

"I thought the same," Damien remarked. He was quite sure that the woman was about to take a swipe at him.

The two men looked at one another before Xavier asked Damien, "How did the fight with the beastman go?"

"It went alright," Damien then relayed the details of the fight with the beastman. When he came to the part where he arrived at the river, Damien explained the miraculous findings that he found.

"You mean to say that your control over mana became better once you stepped in the water?" Xavier frowned and asked again to clear up his confusion.

When Damien nodded he pursed his lips.

"What's the matter?" Damien asked.

"I have never heard about anyone getting a better grip over their mana by using the element closest to their kind," Xavier started with a frown. "But if this is possible then I believe that we might be able to break through."

Even he became hopeful.

"What are you two doing there?" Wistoria looked at her husband and Xavier. The more she looked at them, the more it felt like they were a married couple instead of her and Damien.

The two men heard her and rushed towards the carriage that Levi had summoned.

And as Damien stepped inside the carriage he released a bit of the citronella scent to help with his motion sickness.

This Hell's carriage was definitely not his favourite ride.

Meeting Hall of the Guild Association Building,

"Hah! Hah!" Andres looked at the large building that was standing tall and proud in front of him. He wiped the sweat off his cheek and smirked when he saw the masters of the many guilds sitting inside the hall and having a meeting.

'Good, it seems like I wasn't too late. The meeting is still going on,' thought Andres as he slid down the tree where he was hiding.

He stepped down and looked at the hall which could be seen through the window.

The distance was perfect in Andres's mind. From where he was standing, the melody of Doomsday could be heard without any trouble.

This was it– he was finally going to taste victory.

He raised his hand and placed it on the winding tool of the music box. But just as he was about to twist it, he heard someone walk over.

'Shit,' Andres turned around on his feet and then hid behind the tree. Was he caught this easily?

There was no way, right?

"What is it, Godric?" Bloom stepped out of the association building and looked at the man walking in front of her.

"It's nothing; I think I saw someone coming here," Godric swept his gaze which paused when it fell on the tree where Andres was hiding.

Ba-dump.

Andres felt his heart jump to his throat. Did he notice him?

So what if he noticed him? He thought boldly. As long as he played this melody, there was no way this man would be able to escape.

He swallowed hard and started winding the music box.

Just a bit more—a bit more —

"STOP!"

Someone charged at Andres.

The man flinched causing the music box to fall to the ground. He raised his head and saw Wistoria running towards with three men.

'What were they doing here?' Andres's eyes widened. He turned on his feet and tried to escape but was stopped when a bunch of butterflies created a wall right in front of him.

"My," Lady Bloom remarked in a coy voice. "What's this? Who are you, and why did you trespass on the association?"

Andres was about to turn into his beast form when —

"HAHAHA!"
