Abused Female Lead And Beautiful Villainess (Quick Transmigration)

Chapter 8. A Romance? The Kidney-Stealing Kind (8)

President Yin of Yin Corporation was getting married.

The bride was another woman, reportedly from a humble background.

Those who received invitations were bewildered. They’d never heard of President Yin being interested in women. Why was she suddenly marrying one?

Huo Han, upon learning this, neglected his company affairs entirely. The shareholders, deeply dissatisfied, informed Mrs. Huo, who was vacationing abroad. She rushed back overnight.

“Little Han, do you know what’s happening to the company? How can you endanger it for a woman? Is this how you honor your late father’s memory?”

Mrs. Huo couldn’t believe her son would disregard the company’s welfare for an ordinary girl. Even more incredible was that the girl marrying Yin Meichang was the one Huo Han liked. It was preposterous! She had once hoped to make Yin Meichang her daughter-in-law, but after a brief vacation abroad, everything had changed.

She couldn’t control who Yin Meichang loved or married. But Huo Han was her son, and for his sake and Huo Corporation’s, she had to stop this madness.

“Mom, I can’t lose Wan Wan. I must bring her back.”

Huo Han was obsessed with reclaiming Shen Wan. Mrs. Huo disagreed, leading to a heated argument and a bitter parting.

Huo Ting quickly steadied Mrs. Huo, who didn’t actually care for her much, and whispered, “Mom, brother is too stubborn. If I weren’t still recovering, I’d try harder to stop him.”

“Ting Ting, we must prevent your brother from making things worse. If this continues, what will become of the company?” Mrs. Huo was furious. With no one else to turn to, she found herself warming to Huo Ting.

“Mom, rest a bit. Don’t upset yourself. I’ll think of something.” Huo Ting knew she couldn’t handle Huo Han alone. But what if she won Mrs. Huo to her side? Mrs. Huo’s dislike stemmed mostly from Huo Han’s excessive attention to her. Now things were different; they shared a common goal.

On the wedding day, Yin Meichang and Shen Wan both wore pristine white gowns, their makeup impeccable. They made a striking pair. If only Shen Wan had a bit more flesh on her bones, it would’ve been perfect. Yin Meichang was aware of Huo Han’s movements. How could she let him ruin such an important day?

“Wan Wan, if you feel unwell at all, tell me immediately.” Yin Meichang gazed at Shen Wan’s gaunt face, her heart aching. Resting her chin on Shen Wan’s shoulder, she spoke with regret and affection, “If only we could share life force. I’d give you half of mine.”

Shen Wan met Yin Meichang’s beautiful eyes, seeing the overwhelming affection in them. Her heart fluttered. Miss Yin’s direct expression of feelings was so thrilling. She regretted not being able to reciprocate openly, knowing it would end their game if she did. She hoped that in the coming days, Miss Yin would understand her true feelings, realizing that some of her words meant the opposite of what they seemed.

For instance, “I hate you” actually meant “I really like you.”

Or “You’re despicable” truly meant “You’re adorable.”

“Wan Wan, do you hate me? For using Huo Han to force you into marriage?”

Shen Wan’s lips quivered, her fingers quickly intertwining. How should she answer this?

She coughed lightly, glancing at Yin Meichang, who looked even more beautiful in her wedding gown. “After doing something so despicable, you ask if I hate you? Isn’t it obvious? Of course I do, I absolutely detest you.”

“188, see? I’m not willing at all. I’ve directly expressed my dislike for her.”

Hearing Shen Wan’s words, Yin Meichang’s downcast eyes held no anger, only amusement. She wrapped her arms around Shen Wan’s slender waist, holding the frail form close, and whispered in her ear, “Alright, I know you detest me.” Why did hearing that she was detested fill her heart with such sweetness?

188: He knew something was off, but couldn’t find evidence to refute it.

Perplexed, 188 decided to ignore this farce of a wedding and posted anonymously on a forum: “I suspect my host is engaging in sapphic activities, but I can’t prove it. What should I do?”

“Wan Wan, will you ever like me?” Yin Meichang asked with a smile.

Shen Wan put on a serious face and replied, “How could I? I love Huo Han. Marrying you is out of necessity. How could I like such a despicable woman?”

Oh my, she really adored this kind of woman.

“But you’ll be mine soon.”

Yin Meichang couldn’t understand how Shen Wan could look at her with such apparent fondness while speaking words of dislike.

Perhaps… this was a unique form of flirtation? Role-playing? If so, she’d play along. If Wan Wan could live a long life, she’d happily play this game forever.

She kissed the corner of Shen Wan’s lips, wanting to kiss those cherry-red lips but refraining to avoid smudging the makeup before the ceremony. “You’ll never have a chance with Huo Han again in this lifetime. Wan Wan, remember to obey me. I have plenty of dirt on Huo Han.”

“Miss Yin, don’t worry. I won’t go back on my word.” Shen Wan clasped her hands. As if she’d renege. A beautiful woman, soft and fragrant in her arms – what could be better?

“Then kiss me.” Yin Meichang felt greedy, wanting more now. “You said you’d do as I say.”

Shen Wan called out to 188, but getting no response, she quickly leaned in and kissed Yin Meichang’s cheek. The alarm didn’t go off, relieving her. Realizing what she’d done, her heart raced, and her cheeks flushed.

Her wife’s face was so nice to kiss, soft and fragrant. She wanted another.

“Good girl.”

Yin Meichang smoothed Shen Wan’s fallen hair. “We’re getting married today. Stop calling me Miss Yin. Use my name or call me ‘wife’.”

Shen Wan thought: Wife, wife, wife! Yin Meichang was her wife now. How delightful.

“Little Mei,” Shen Wan said, biting her lip to hide her excitement.

Yin Meichang’s lips twitched. Little Mei???

Well, it was a name. Little Mei it is.

“Say it again.”

Yin Meichang felt that even the most mundane name sounded wonderful coming from her wife’s lips. Little Mei was fine. With her wife-tinted glasses, anything sounded good.

Shen Wan looked up at Yin Meichang’s expectant gaze, unable to bear making her wait. In a slightly sweet, joyful voice, she called, “Little Mei.”

“Yes, I’m Little Mei. From today on, we’re wives. I’m your wife, remember that.”

Shen Wan thought: I remember! Little Mei is my wife. My wife is so beautiful, so domineering, so clever.

188 was reading forum replies, unaware he’d missed a prime opportunity to catch his host in the act. Looking at the responses, he regretted asking these unreliable people.

“Your host wants to engage in sapphic activities? What to do? Forgive her, of course.”

“Hosts work hard on missions. What’s wrong with a little sapphic indulgence? Just close your eyes if you don’t want to see.”

“With so many long-legged, slim-waisted, fair-skinned, fragrant young ladies in the small world, you should be grateful your host held out this long.”

188 silently retreated after reading these replies. This world was too unfriendly. Even an anonymous post brought no comfort.

How depressing!

Huo Han blocked the wedding convoy. He’d hired people with luxury cars to obstruct the surrounding area, preventing Yin Meichang and Shen Wan’s procession from reaching the venue.

He stepped out of his car and approached Yin Meichang and Shen Wan’s vehicle. “President Yin, let’s talk.”

Yin Meichang released Shen Wan’s hand and exited the car. Even in her beautiful wedding gown, her fierce demeanor remained undiminished as she faced her rival.

Walking to the front of the car in her high heels, she smiled coolly. “Mr. Huo, what do you want to discuss?”

“President Yin, return Wan Wan to me. Name your price. You’ve always been interested in Huo Corporation, right? I can give you half of my shares.”

“Even if you gave me all your shares, I wouldn’t return Wan Wan to you. She’s a priceless treasure to me, beyond any exchange.”

“President Yin only managed to marry Wan Wan through despicable means.”

“No matter how despicable I am, I can’t compare to you, Mr. Huo. For your sister’s sake, you were willing to endanger Wan Wan’s life,” Yin Meichang said coldly, staring at Huo Han. “Mr. Huo, have you forgotten about that?”

“What do you want?” Huo Han faltered, realizing that even blocking the wedding cars wouldn’t let him take Shen Wan away. Yin Meichang held some unknown leverage over him, always able to threaten the pure and kind-hearted Wan Wan.

Yin Meichang remained silent for three minutes. As Huo Han thought she was considering his terms, she said, “Mr. Huo, you’ve disrupted public order by hiring people to block my wedding convoy. I’ve already called the police. You can discuss the rest with the officers.”

Huo Han: ???

Shen Wan nearly burst out laughing. Her wife was so clever, stalling Huo Han while secretly calling the police. Indeed, uniformed officers were approaching Huo Han. He refused to leave, loudly cursing Yin Meichang as despicable for stealing his beloved, claiming Shen Wan only married Yin Meichang due to her threats.

The officers didn’t care about such matters. Seeing Huo Han’s noncompliance, they handcuffed him and forcibly removed him.

“Wan Wan, I’ll rescue you someday! I won’t let this despicable woman Yin Meichang bully you!” Huo Han shouted heart-rendingly towards Shen Wan as he was dragged away.

Shen Wan thought: Get lost!! You scumbag, don’t ruin my beautiful marriage.
