Weekly Chapter 4/4
Choi Jumi. A woman who had come into his life unexpectedly, giving rise to a series of surprising events. The first variable in his life that caused him suffering, and although he knew it he could do nothing about it.
“I heard she was pregnant. You act like you don’t care about her, but you seem to really like her. She is smart, I think she would be a good match for you. She is an excellent candidate to conceive your successor.”
He raised a wine glass, his expression inscrutable.
“I guess you’re not interested in other girls.”
President Kwon drank alcohol, then touched Hayoung’s thigh, who was sitting next to him. Although it was an action that happened under the table, it seemed that President Kwon did not intend to hide it.
“She has been sleeping a lot since she got pregnant. She also can’t eat freely due to morning sickness, I haven’t known how to help her either.”
President Kwon smiled. Yoongyo knew what made him happy.
“I understand. President Choi will only be able to see his son-in-law.”
President Kwon’s hand persistently moved in a manner. People did not dare to look, but it was clear that they felt uncomfortable but could not show it. Song Hayoung, unable to stop President Kwon, changed the subject,
“It’s the President’s birthday, so let’s eat first. The night is long.”
Yoongyo grasped the glass of alcohol that Hyungjun, seated beside him, had poured.
The individuals sitting around the extended table remained silent, as though they had ingested rat poison. Although the shirt button that tightened his collar was uncomfortable, Yoongyo quenched his thirst with red wine.
He went to the bathroom, where no one could see him. These old men who had long tongues could not abandon their expectations.
He lit a cigarette, then unzipped his fly. His huge m#nh#od was exposed. It was funny that he remembered Choi Jumi when he urinated.
She couldn’t look away when she saw him urinating. Her gaze resembled that of a rabbit. She acted like an innocent woman. His m#nh#od grew hard when he thought about it. That’s why Yoongyo hastily finished urinating.
Exiting the bathroom, he caught the familiar fragrance of perfume in the air.
“Director.”
It was Song Hayoung. A troublesome woman. She incessantly hovered around him, her presence becoming so irksome that he now yearned to be rid of her.
“Would you care for a drink?” she asked, her voice low. “I have something to share, but we must be discreet. Eyes are upon us.” She hesitated, then added, “This is my final plea.”

Jumi stood by the window overlooking the sea, her tea now chilled.
The hotel room was nice, but she didn’t enjoy it. She was alone in this place. The lingering anxiety persisted within her, fueled by the fact that she had parted ways with Yoongyo. All her life she had been worried that someone would get hurt. Her father could disappear at any moment. She experienced a swarm of bees fluttering within her chest.
When she touched her forehead, she realized she had a fever.
