Countless rockets were launched from our rocket carriers. However none of them did damage to the enemy. 

 

"I see. They have a potent shield. It's different from their land troops. Lisa switch to high performance proton rifles."

 

"Understood."

 

That shield won't break that easy. I hate using this because the ammo is more expensive. But we need rifles with 80% defense penetration to break through. Fortunately we had some in store.

 

*ZAAP*

 

"Whoa!"

 

"Guuaah!!"

 

"This is… our defences are being breached?"

 

Small but highly accurate laser beams pierce the Dragonfly breeders hearts, heads, stomachs… any vital point. Their shield is like butter, as the proton rifle pierce through it."

 

"Darn it. If they can penetrate our defenses we just have to end them sooner! 

 

Blazing Flames!"

 

"Dustveil Tornado!"

 

A powerful combo of the Breeders. Flames and winds merged together into a powerful tornado and were headed towards my vehicles. They were getting ready to be swooped.

 

"Holy Defense!" (???)

 

A bright pillar of light intercepted the blast. It was like a wall of pure light stood in the way of the raging winds.

 

"Huh!?"

 

"If you want to harm ojou-sama's troops, you need to face my sword first." (Bayek)

 

Bayek. The golden jackal has arrived on the field. He was wearing a rather unique jet pack that allowed him to fly. And immediately he charged in the breeder army, swinging his sword left and right, chopping heads as he goes. And at the same time the land force continued shooting down the flying breeders.

 

"Oi. What the hell is going on? Aren't we losing too many people? The Dragonfly squad is falling apart."

 

"You're telling me? And why in the world is it suddenly getting cold?"

 

"Vanishing Hunt!" (Ingrid)

 

Cold spread across the battlefield. With Ingrid's words, a large ice dome was suddenly formed trapping inside Trish, Triton and a good amount of breeders.

 

"Tsk. And here I thought with this many I could at least wake up from my drowsiness. But this isn't enough to wake me up." (Ingrid)

 

*Clang*

 

A white world. Ingrid created a white world and was currently blocking the charge from both Triton and Trish with her Balmung. And all the bullets fired by the other breeders were intercepted by Fafnir.

 

"This is ridiculous. How can you can yourselves commanders with such little strength?"

 

A wide and powerful swing forced the 2 back. The shockwave from the impact also brought them to their knees.

 

"Well then. There's nothing left for you. Except to experience the true horror of my Vanishing Hunt."

 

With those words Ingrid disappeared. They didn't break eye contact for even a second yet she was nowhere to be seen. 

 

Triton tried talking to Trish but only his mouth moved. Sound did not leave his mouth. It was the same the with the others. Breeders started to panic. More so, as one after the other they started lose their heads. They were being cut. Yet no screams were heard.

 

"What do you think of my world? A world without sound and a world in which you cannot see me. It's quite frightening, isn't it. However you probably can't hear me now." (Ingrid)

 

For someone to not be able to see the enemy, to witness their comrades falling one after another… seeing despair on everyone's faces but not being able to scream. Ingrid's world was truly terrifying.

After the dome of ice collapsed a grotesque picture was painted. Breeder corpses everywhere. And most importantly, Triton and Trish were impaled on giant ice pillars. 

 

"Statement: that was quite a brutal way to fight, Ingrid."

 

"It's fine, isn't it? Don't worry. This was a bit of fun. I won't awaken to my past self. Be at ease. I'm still dedicating my body to Kizuna."

 

"Relief: good to hear. Now with the major commanders out of their way, the army should start falling apart and…"

 

"Shiro, watch out!"

 

Ingrid's thrusters went into overdrive and she immediately dashed behind Shiro. She used her Balmung to block an attack. A punch powerful enough that sent both of them flying.

 

"Aaah!"

 

However they quickly got back on their feet. In the place they stood before a large explosion formed. A crescent moon trail was left. The machines in that area were blown to bits.

 

"That's enough of this charade. I will commend you for pushing us this far. But that ends here." (Echidna)

 

Echidna. The breeder queen has stepped on the battlefield. She looked displeased, but not towards Ingrid and Shiro. But towards her own army. Despite suffering significant casualties, they still had superior numbers. 

 

And whenever the Queen herself entered the battlefield, they never lost.

 

"You have my thanks. This gave me the opportunity to assess my own army's weakness. Feel relieved, I will make sure to correct these weaknesses on my next invasion.

 

But that's all. You have no chance of beating our superior race. So how about I make you a deal? Become my breeding toys! I'll give you special terms. Mating will only take place 6 hours a day and given that time, you will only have to lay 3 eggs per day. 

 

How's about that? Those are very generous terms if I might say so myself."

 

"Huh? Are you fucking retarded or something? Who in their right mind would volunteer to be turned into a breeding cattle? Sorry. I'll pass." (Ingrid)

 

"Rejection: I believe the same. The only one I obey is ojou-sama." (Shiro)

 

"Loyalty, huh? Can't say I don't understand the feeling. It's a shame to waste such beautiful females, but I guess I have to kill you, now!"

 

Echidna raised her hand that had the 5 rings. A powerful surge of energy was emitted from those rings. Ingrid and Shiro braced themselves for the worst.

 

"Stop!!"

 

A scream echoed. Yup. It was me. Echidna is far too dangerous to let Ingrid and Shiro handle her. Right now I am wearing a mecha armor that resembles a nurse costume. Drive Shift: Pharmacy Armor. This armor set boosts the recovery speed of the user. Stamina as well as PA. And I intend to wear it as long as possible. 

 

I don't like facing an unknown enemy while I am not at my best. But I got to make it work somehow.

 

"You are…?" (Echidna)

 

"Queen Kizuna Amun Ra. Ruler of this planet."

 

"I see. So you're the mastermind behind all this. You have my respect. I never imagined an opponent so worthy would stand in our way." (Echidna)

 

"I suppose I could spare some praise as well. After all you guys pushed me to think this far." 

 

"Interesting. Well, little one, since both of us are here now, how about a small talk before getting dirty?" (Echidna)

 

Negotiations perhaps. I honestly don't care what she wants to propose, but for the sake of more recovery time, I'll play along. So I nodded my head.

 

"Well then, let's move over there, shall we?" (Echidna)

 

She pointed towards a ledge without soldiers on both sides. I guess it's safe. And the army doesn't seem like it will continue the advance without her command either. Good. So far I managed to prevent the loss of lifes on my end. If we can somehow end this with just the 2 of us, that would be splendid.

 

But I doubt it's gonna go my way. Regardless, let's hear what she has to say for now.
