A Kryptonian in the Marvel Universe

Chapter 132: Chapter 130: First Appearance

"How did you do it?" Tony Stark asked, baffled. He'd expected public outcry over the recent terrorist attack to last much longer, even preparing himself for a prolonged PR battle. But in less than two days, all negative coverage had vanished. Online platforms had gone silent, and newsprint media—particularly Global Daily—were shut down. Only The Daily Bugle, Peter Parker's future workplace, still managed to keep its voice in the market.

Zodhis simply shrugged. "Spider Web has over 200 million active users worldwide. Every one of those people relies on me for information. With so many people using it as their primary news source, I can control what they see. Do you think any newspaper or media company can compete with that?"

Tony fell silent. With a user base of that scale, Spider Web not only controlled direct communication but also had indirect influence through word of mouth—an invisible but powerful channel of information.

"Don't worry," Zodhis continued with a slight smile. "I don't plan to abuse this. I just want those involved to understand the rules of the game. Step out of line, and you'll end up as a convenient distraction."

Zodhis's influence had turned him into a guardian over the superhero culture he was helping to shape, where any would-be disruptor found themselves dealt with through strategic means. Zodhis's "game" was clear: follow his rules, or face consequences.

Year 2003

"Warning! Warning! A dragon-level threat has been detected in Boston. All civilians must evacuate immediately!"

Across Boston, sentry robots stationed on street corners activated their alarms, guiding civilians out of harm's way. The robots, deployed by Zodhis's Superhero Association, had become the first line of alert in times of disaster, ready to support superhero interventions.

In the heart of the city, people scattered as they caught sight of the creature: a terrifying, hulking beast with a horn on its forehead, its gray-brown skin stretched tight over massive muscles and veins. This was the Asura Unicorn, a monstrous creation resembling a mythic beast.

This would be Hulk's debut. It had taken time, but Zodhis had finally trained Hulk, convincing him that fighting monsters meant he could unleash his strength without consequence. To make things easier for Bruce Banner, Zodhis had even constructed a private island amusement park where Hulk could play, granting him daily "playtime" in exchange for discipline.

After years of practice, Hulk's mind now worked like that of a simple five-year-old—a marked improvement over his previous uncontrollable rage. With this arrangement, Bruce had found peace, and Hulk had found purpose.

"This is a full live broadcast, Hulk," Zodhis said as they flew over Boston in a helicopter. He reached up to pat the massive green giant on the back. "Make it a good one."

"Hulk smash monster!" Hulk roared, pounding his fists together.

As Zodhis opened the helicopter door, the Asura Unicorn looked up, sensing the arrival of another powerhouse. The beast let out a low, guttural growl just as Hulk leaped out of the helicopter, landing with a seismic roar that shook the ground.

In seconds, the fight began streaming on Spider Web, with viewers flocking to watch the battle.

"Is this the new S-rank hero, Hulk?" one viewer commented. "Wow, a dragon-level threat! Can Hulk handle it?" "Are you kidding? Hulk's power is unmatched among S-rank heroes, even above the Stone Man and Iron Man!"

Asura Unicorn sized up Hulk, its stone-like arms and grotesque form a chilling sight. But Hulk, undeterred, charged forward, his fists clenched with primal determination. Asura Unicorn opened its maw and inhaled, creating an air cannon with a force capable of demolishing buildings. The compressed air blast struck Hulk, but he only staggered before resuming his charge, unfazed.

In seconds, Asura Unicorn had closed the distance, its massive body casting Hulk into shadow as it attempted to stomp down on him. But Hulk was ready; rather than dodging, he lunged forward, grabbing the creature's foot with both hands.

As the two titans clashed, Spider Web's viewers watched in awe, witnessing a battle of mythic proportions. The comments lit up with excitement, and people were captivated by the power and skill displayed in this new age of superheroism.
