Volume 2 Chapter 14: For Our Stomach!
"A design of how I want my resting area to be," Keith answered as he showed the drawing to them.
"That's a good drawing."
"You're so talented, Young Master!"
"Little Brother is amazing!"
"Thanks." Keith smiled. It was a simple design where the land was divided into five areas: four corners as small areas and the middle section as the largest.
"What's the largest one for?" Michael asked.
"That's going to be the resting section. I'm planning to have a kitchen in there."
"A kitchen?" The three were surprised by his words.
"Mmhmm." Keith nodded, "I want a place where I can cook and relax." An outdoor space for cooking. That was Keith's focus. He could pick up ingredients from the garden and then cook it!
"It would be interesting to eat outside." Derek thought the idea of cooking outside was interesting.
"There are two different ideas here." Derek pointed at the center. There were two different ideas.
"Mmhmm, I'm having trouble deciding whether or not to split that big piece of land into three separate sections where you can cook, rest, and sleep. Or have it all bunched together."
"Hmm, both are interesting." The three stated. Fira added, "What in the inside, Keith?" She pointed at the one where everything was separated.
"Oh, the center will be a fireplace and grill."
"A grill?"
"Yeah, like we can cook something on top of it." Keith thought about it. It was feasible.
"Ohh! I want that!" Fira's eyes sparkled.
"Me too!"
"Alright, then we'll go with the second option." It was decided like that.
"How are we going to do this?!" Michael was ready.
"The first thing we should do is to create borderlines. That way, it will be easier to know where each area goes."
"Understood." Like that, they quickly got to work.
"We will also need some stone and wood too."
"Yes, sir! Men! I know you're there!" Michael screamed toward the bushes. And what came out from there were a bunch of knights.
"Go get wood and stones for the young master!" Michael ordered.
"I will also hand you some fruits if you could get me some good ones," Keith added. The moment Keith said that,
"Understood!"
"We'll bring you the best stone and wood we can find!"
"Yeah!"
"Also, bring more people here to help clear the weeds!" Keith knew two people weren't enough.
"Yes, Sir!"
They dashed away without a thought!
"Bunch of gluttons," Michael muttered as he stared at them.
"..." You shouldn't be saying something like that. Keith and the rest stared at him weirdly. If those knights were gluttons, this guy was the king of gluttons!
Keith understood why they were being so helpful. That was because of the allure of fruit!
The maids and butlers saw how William and the others ate the apple. It spread to the knights soon after. They wanted to try as well.
"Young Master, where are you going to plant the trees?" May questioned. She remembered Sophia asking for this.
"I was thinking of planting it at the walkway." Keith thought it would be interesting.
"I see! As you enter, you can pick fruit out to eat!" May clapped her hands together, realizing the genius behind it.
"...Yeah." Keith scratched his head. He thought it would make a colorful walkway. But sure, let's go with that. That worked.
It didn't take long before more knights came to help with the weeds. And the group who went for stones and wood returned. They had an entire cart full of it.
"Good job. Here are apples for you." Keith handed the knights apples.
"Thank you so much, Young Master!"
"If you need anything, we will help you!"
"Mmhmm." Keith stared at the wood logs. I'm going to make edging out of this.
"I call thy wind." Keith started to chant wind magic. He aimed it at the logs, cutting them into rectangular logs.
"Now to place them down." Keith placed the logs down, slowly making the square-shaped garden.
"That's one!" Keith smiled. Perfect. Keith was happy about this, "Can you guys do the other three?"
"Understood." The knights nodded as they followed Keith's lead.
"What do we need to do?"
"Fill the squares up with dirt." The knights started to fill it up with dirt, elevating it.
"We can plant the seeds now." Keith realized the size of one corner was enough to plant two types of vegetables.
"Kid, what will you do when you run out of space?" That was something Michael realized.
"I think we're okay." With how much they eat, they wouldn't run out of space. Also,
"We can use that." Keith pointed at the free area beside it.
Three-quarters was enough for the resting area. Keith saved the last quarter for anything else he had in mind for the future.
"I see." Michael nodded, "Let's get back to work!" Michael roared. And the knights behind nodded,
"For our stomach!" The roar resounded throughout the entire space.
"..." Keith said nothing as he continued to work.
