A Failure's hopeful Journey

After You Xi Wang sat down, the meeting continued and more people came up with suggestions to increase work efficiency. The environment became harmonious, and the staff acknowledged that despite being young You Xi Wang was very skilled. 

A young man in a blue shirt and black trousers raised his hand and said, "Young Master, previously many people have complained that the environment in the office is too constrained. Do you think we can do something about it? You see, many people are young and they feel down in spirits with these conditions."

You Xi Wang did not know this man and asked, "I apologize, but may I know your name before we begin our conversation. Please, you must have joined recently and I have never seen you."

The young man smiled and said, "I am Nicholas Wenger, in-house employee councilor. Yes, I joined only a month ago."

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "Thank you for bringing this issue to light. I think it is time to give our place a makeover. I request the staff to be patient. By next week this problem will be solved." he turned to the Stella and said, "Auntie Stella by the evening please get me a final estimate about how much liquid capital we have."

He stood up from his chair and said, "In terms of experience, everyone here is my senior. So, I have a question for you all. Do you think Tianlong Technologies have a stable foundation?"

The executives sensed the profound motive behind this question. They all replied positively, one by one. You Xi Wang smiled and said, "Then let's make Tianlong Group successful too."

Everyone nodded at first, but after a moment they were all shocked. The whole building suddenly fell silent. This time even You Zhichi was shocked. She looked at her brother and asked, "Bro, did you just say Tianlong Group?" 

The latter nodded with a smile and said, "You guys, don't be so shocked. We are not taking on the big wigs right now. We will enter markets such as furniture, musical instruments, and games. The Chen group will be our first ally. These markets may look small, but small elements define the big pictures. So, those who support the motion raise a hand. Of course, after discussion."

The executives started discussing this motion using the com screens in front of them. These screens allowed them to discuss in secrecy without leaving the room. After half an hour, the old man who first rejected You Xi Wang's proposal of extra working hours stood up. 

He said, "Boss, this Morgan Stoinis, on the behalf of the whole staff, support this motion. We have unanimously decided that we will make the Tianlong group a force to be reckoned with. This was also the wish of the former CEO." after this the whole Tianlong Edifice was filled with huge applause. The staff members were excited. They have been here for years and the higher-ups treated them all with much compassion. You Liangxin wanted to make Tianlong Technologies into the Tianlong Group, but he suffered setbacks again and again. This hurdle was The Mirai Group that always made things difficult for them and when You Liangxin died, the staff members thought the company will end. Unexpectedly, You Zhichi took the lead and stabilized the company assuring them that things will be better.

Hope came when they heard about the Lithical Iron motherboard in the computing systems. This hope was like a fire burning in their hearts, which made The Mirai Group suffer a setback in The Council contract. Now, when they heard You Xi Wang becoming the boss, their resolves faltered a bit. This kid stated he was not like his father. Their hopes dampened. He took some actions which sounded harsh, but then he also proposed a way they all never thought of. These actions of his earned him the trust of the staff members.

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "I thank you all. This journey will be tough with no doubts, but we all are cultivators. We live to defy the heavens itself, let alone a company. I have other plans too, which will be implemented the day our Tianlong Group is registered in the council. Let us all be hopeful for our journey to the top."

The meeting continued and You Xi Wang introduced some other plans too. He introduced a merit system. Every employee team or department will compete on a monthly basis. The best employees will get bonus credits. The employee dress code was now banished allowing them to wear casual attires but if they are meeting a client or it is a formal event they are supposed to attend they will have to wear formals regardless of the designation. The company will also support employees for higher education if someone is interested. The promotions will be given based on the points system and not experience or seniority but if any senior designation staff is addressing a junior who is elder in age, then they must be respectful. 

He also introduced the pension system. The company will deduct 1% of their income and deposit in the bank. They will then invest this amount in bank schemes to get interest returns and when some employee thinks they are too old and want to retire they will be given the accumulated fund as a pension every month in parts till the amount is nil. It was not all good though. Anyone who resigned from the company will not be hired back at any cost. They will also have to sign a non-disclosure contract and swear a heaven's oath in front of council officials. If anyone was caught being disloyal and cheating the company, they will be killed with no hesitation. 

You Xi Wang's actions were very impactful, but they were all deciding factors for the betterment of the company. The meeting concluded and everyone left the conference room with excited and expecting expressions. You Xi Wang had issued a warning that if the contents of this meeting leaked out at all. He will find who did this and they will beg him for death. They were all shocked for a moment but relaxed, knowing this will only happen when they did something uncouth. They also realized that this was a necessary step to warn some renegades.

You Xi Wang had lunch in the office canteen as he never liked to eat alone. His sister accompanied him and they were greeted by every employee in the canteen. You Xi Wang approached a group of software developers and talked to them about the game. They all were very interested and volunteered to take part in it. After lunch, You Xi Wang parted from his sister and went to the Research and Development wing to meet the two most skilled people in the company. The two people were Minerva Salah and her husband Matthew Salah, this couple was responsible for the trademark product of the company the stag OS. 

Stag OS was one of the most interactive and easy-to-use OS in the market of Metropia when it came out, but after a few days, Mirai Group launched Future 5 OS making the company go back to zero. The advancement of Metropia was so fast that new product ideas were scarce.

You Xi Wang knocked on the door of the R&D department. He heard a small blast from inside the room. He entered and couldn't help but shake his head and said, "Auntie Min, Uncle Matt, long time no see."
