A Failure's hopeful Journey

They both shook their hands. You Xi Wang said, "We should move from here. The beast carcass will attract other beasts. Let's go,"

They both nodded and moved to five hundred meters away from that spot, a river stream was flowing through the forest like a snake, they crossed the stream to avoid the beasts from getting their scent.

You Xi Wang climbed up on a tall tree and Snow followed him up. They both sat down. Snow asked him after a few moments, "So, what is your plan? How do we deal with this situation?"

You Xi Wang repeated his early words, "I will ask my family to gather information. Then we will see what to do next."

Snow replied, "I got that, you have said it earlier but what I mean is, what do we do if things are as we think they are, and what if they are not."

You Xi Wang was a guy who always kept his straightforward attitude. He replied, "I will put it out there now that we have both formed an alliance. I do not trust you enough to divulge all this information."

Snow felt exasperated as she replied, "You were the one who proposed this alliance right. What do you want me to do,, kid? How about a heavenly oath that I will be loyal to our alliance?"

You Xi Wang retorted, "Look here little miss, you are only 19 just like my sister so better not go calling me kid because this kid saved your life when you fell on your perky butt. Also, yes, a heavenly oath of loyalty and no betrayals will do."

Snow was indignation when he pointed out her momentary lapse and even said something like 'perky butt' to her: this kid was opposite from his so-called polite person image in the school. She did not argue and just took the oath.

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "I need to check on my friends, give me a moment." he used his Holo-phone and called all his friends at the same time they all picked up, he asked, "What is the situation?"

Yuki spoke first, "I collected some herbs, provided support fire in the hunt. I killed 2 beasts."

Allan spoke next, "I got 4 kills swords are good I know but sis is very good, my strength and finesse can improve definitely."

Neo said, "I got 1 kill, we are camping in one region and attracting beasts to us."

Fenny lifted her chin up and said, "Momma Fenny here got 8 shade hoppers. Hahaha..."

Basically, what she wanted to state was that she caught a rabbit type beast, and she was stating her speed because shade hopper was a fast beast. Everyone clapped as if they were really kids, but it was just so that this acid tongue doesn't lash out on them for not praising her while Snow found this very amusing.

You Xi Wang spoke, "I took down one Terra Dame. Thanks to the knife big momma gave me."

Others inhaled sharply at this. You Xi Wang then said before they could say anything, "I found someone we all know here too."

Neo asked, "Who could that be?" You Xi Wang turned his wrist to Snow and said, "Ladies and gents, I introduce you to Snow Wistrom or as you all know her Snow White Demoness." the latter glared at him and he just mouthed 'Oops'.

Snow greeted them all, they all talked a bit and then disconnected the call, Yuki said before disconnecting, "Don't make on any moves, though she is a beauty, you don't have a chance yet." with that, she disconnected the call. You Xi Wang did not know whether to laugh or to cry. His girlfriend thinks he will make a move on every pretty girl he comes across.

Snow said, "You have good friends." disrupting You Xi Wang's not so productive thought process. The latter only nodded with a smile on his face and he spoke with a serious voice, "I have a bug in the Mirai Group, he will contact me in two days. Also, you need to hone your combat experience soon and as fast because you will fight with stronger foes in life or death situations also you won't be able to defeat my sis at your current level."

Snow nodded, although she was a strong-headed girl she was open-minded and never minded please who gave her genuine criticism, just like You Xi Wang was doing. He did not know about sugar-coating things or being too polite after his soul has gone through the merging process and his system was also a vile tongued entity.

Snow asked, "How do I gain battle experience? Beast hunting is too time consuming." You Xi Wang answered, "One hour, every day I will spare with you to polish my close combat skills. In the morning we hunt. At the noon I will meditate, you can surprise attack me anytime you want. This will help me train my instincts. Maya will not engage you anymore." he paused and continued, "You will practice sword dance and basic moves like draw, slash, stab and block. Try any tree or any clearing, it is your choice."

Snow left amazed by how easily You Xi Wang made a plan for training, she mumbled under her breath, "This is the Maestro." she was aware of the moniker You Xi Wang had earned with his IQ and capabilities two years ago when he completed all the material science books in the Codex Hall and he was already done with sixty percent of strategy and war manipulation books too.

You Xi Wang stood up and said, "I need to excuse myself." he turned to jump when Snow asked him, "What happened?" he replied, "Nature's call." and jumped down the tree, he walked a distance and took cover behind a tree, then undid his pants and started taking a pee while used his Holo-phone to text his sister which said, 'NEED INFO, TARGET: SNOW WISTROM. DURATION-10 days P.S.- She is your classmate.' even though Snow swore in the name of the heavens he did not trust her completely. He found out everything regarding her.

He returned to the tree. He meditated and asked Maya not to be hostile with Snow, but well that took quite an effort. When it was all said and done, he made a call to Celestia, whose face blossomed with an adorable smile. They talked about a lot of stuff, mostly it was Celestia talking and him listening.

The night flew by in a blink of an eye.
