A Different Smallville

Chapter 17: Chapter 17

Days passed by quickly as they turned into weeks. During which, Clark was being getty about his Spring Dance, while Leonardo just studied whatever caught his eye. In this case, he has been researching biology or more so the current knowledge of cell division and aging.

As for if he was really interested in such a topic, not really, but he figured it would be helpful at some point. Probably for Clark's girl, Lois Lane in the future if she gets into trouble like the comics or Smallville television show. The amount of head trauma the ones beside Clark go through and yet not affected is really amazing.

Now for using this bit of information to give longer lifespans? Not possible, for he doesn't have enough knowledge nor does the research he can get his hands on does. Besides maybe giving an extra few years due to good sleeping habits, diets, and regular exercise.

"Quite the advanced topic you got there, Son." Jonathan said as he walked up into the loft.

"Clark is too getty about the Spring Dance, he is basically practicing the boogie to the waltz inside." Leonardo said while tapping the side of his head.

Leonardo didn't set down the book in his hands while speaking. Neither Jonathan nor Martha seemed to like him very much. They were still courteous to him, but they preferred not to talk to him, since if he guessed, they felt like he was taking over their son, or will take him away. Something, he really had no plans of, because first of all, there is nowhere to go, and they are Clark's parents who he loves deeply for.

"Leo." Jonathan tried not to sound distant. "Why do you enjoy studying so much? We seem to always find you with a book."

Truthfully since Jonathan and Martha learned of his existence, this did seem to be the case. Otherwise, it is usually when he wanders around the farm at night when they get up for a glass of water.

"It's not that I enjoy studying, but I am really limited on what I can do." Leonardo sat down at the book. "I can't play in town since running into Clark's friends is awkward and I can't stand Lana or Lex. Clark also said I can't run to other cities or states to play for a while, since he wants to be around in case you or his friends need his help. Since his nearly weekly meteor infection or helping to solve a crime hasn't happened for a while."

"I'm sure we can manage." Jonathan said. "We managed before Clark came along after all."

"Clark is a teenager and likes to think the world revolves around him." Leonardo stated. "Not to mention, I don't have anyone to go see. After all, only four people know I exist in this world, which is Clark, you, Martha, and a special lovely lady."

Jonathan clenched his fist upon hearing that. "A woman knows about you?"

"Relax, it's someone everyone meets twice in life and she is far too busy. It's a tough job overseeing Death and all." Leonardo said offhandedly. "Only really getting a day off every century puts most workaholics to shame."

"Death?" Jonathan blinked.

"Yep, nice woman really. Yeah, she is real, and just remember you raised a kryptonian who is from a distant galaxy." Leonardo stated.

Jonathan sighed as he pinched his forehead clearly worried and stressed at learning such grand information. However, he let out a sigh, deciding not to worry about such things. Besides rumors of Clark seeming to have dual personalities, it wouldn't expose or put Clark's abilities in the spotlight.

"Well, Clark wasn't far off the mark since Lana seemed to have spent most of the day in the hospital. Seemed she was caught up in a gas line explosion earlier today." Jonathan said after a while of silence. "She is fine, beside a concussion."

Leonardo fought hard because Clark wanted to rush to Lana's side, but Leonardo had no such idea for now. Thus his body began to tremble as Clark fought for control.

'I got to make sure Lana is ok.' Clark said as his voice was laced with concern.

'Since she is in a hospital and not the morgue. She is clearly fine beside a bit of bonk on the head.' Leonardo replied clearly not wanting to see the selfish shallow teenage girl. 'Besides it so late she is either inside the hospital outside visiting hours or on her way home.'

Clark stopped struggling but clearly didn't like it. Despite Leonardo's immense dislike for the girl who seemed like to flirt or led other boys along while dating someone else. It didn't stop Clark's blind feelings making Leonardo want to bash head against the wall.

--

Later that night, Leonardo snuck out of the house and decided to check a few things around town. While he was unsure if it would be similar to the show where Chloe got kidnapped, since Clark had asked Chloe a while ago. Not to mention, this world isn't following the script, not that it could once he entered it when Clark called him into this universe.

So Leonardo spent a while racing around Smallville to check out a few spots and the fairground. Leonardo ended up finding Chloe tied up and blindfolded inside the storage room for the fairground. A large mirror was hanging above her alongside a bunch of stuffed animals in bags hanging from the ceiling.

Then he saw a man focus on wielding what to be a coffin size box while dressed in black jumpsuit. After thinking for a moment, Leonardo walked over to the door and as quickly and quietly as he could.

He broke the lock then raced down and tapped the masked man on the head, knocking him out. Once he was sure the man was fine and out cold, he rearranged a few items to explain how he was possibly knocked out. Leonardo soon moved towards Chloe where he freed her limbs, tapping her awake and leaving quickly.

After leaving to a building not far away, he watched as Chloe freed herself and tied up the unconscious man. Which she followed up with calling the police and not long after, Chloe was transported to the hospital. Since Leonardo was sure that Chloe was totally safe, he decided it was time to leave and allow Clark's body to rest.

--

"So, I woke up and managed to free myself with a bit of effort to find my kidnapper knocked out."

Inside the Smallville Torch, Chloe was recounting her adventure last night when she was kidnapped. Pete and Clark were listening, when Lana burst into the room. She was clearly panicked and slightly freaking out.

"Everything ok, Lana?" Clark asked.

'Probably learned her boyfriend did something dumb in her opinion?' Leonardo suggested.

'Poor Whitney.' Clark mourns for the guy for a moment.

"I had a vision about a guy in jail." Lana stated.

"Ok, and the problem is?" Chloe asked unsure what to say.

"Everytime he gets angry, I get a vision. Recently I saw something disturbing." Lana said clearly shaken.

"What did you see?" Clark asked.

"I saw him stroking himself in the shower." Lana said.

Pete and Leonardo burst out laughing, while Clark's face darken. Chloe's face turned a bit red, while Lana glared at them all. Clearly angry at their lack of sympathy for her issue with the visions.

"I need you guys to help me make these visions stop. It's so disgusting." Lana ranted.

"You could just think of it as free access to porn." Leonardo joked much to Clark's anger.

"I don't want to see such a disgusting thing." Lana all but screamed.

"Fine, we see what we can dig up. Until then, just enjoy the show I guess." Chloe said.

It took a little over a week to solve and it wasn't due to Clark or his two friends. Instead, Gary Watt, who kidnapped Chloe and had his vision linked to Lana, died. It seemed he attempted to escape from jail, but was shot dead upon trying to shoot a sheriff.
