The God of Death Part 3
Tomoya looked at the idiot, who looked different but still had the same stupid, idiotic brain, and shook her head. She opened her portal once more and pulled Tio out. “Tio, protect them if they need it.”
“Got it.” Tio smiled and flew up into the air. She was only an observer at this time and would only step in if they were about to die, as Tomoya requested.
“Tomoya! How dare you ignore me!” Kouki did not get it. He had become so strong, but Tomoya was still ignoring him. He felt his strength was enough. He should be able to take Tomoya out at any time. But when he saw Tomoya’s gaze fall on him. The cold gaze filled with murderous intent. He felt a pressure on him he had never felt before. Not even Fatinia, when she got mad, had such pressure. He involuntarily took a step back. When he noticed this, he was so angered he wanted to scream, but before he could, he saw Tomoya disappear, and Fatinia, who was holding on to him, had disappeared along with her.
“Haha! You are a forceful one!” Fatinia let out a loud laugh even though her face was being held in the palm of Tomoya’s hand.
“I just figured if we are going to go on a date, we should do it where no one can disturb us,” Tomoya replied as she tossed the self-proclaimed god of death toward the ground. Sadly, though, Fatinia stopped mid-air, righted herself, and smiled at Tomoya without the loud bang Tomoya was hoping to hear. “Tch… Stronger than you look.”
“Did you think I would be here if I was not sure I could win against anyone on this planet? Even if that fake god Ehit came down now, he would not be able to defeat me! Never mind a mortal from this world.” Fatinia stepped forward and began mumbling some words that Tomoya could not make out. But when she saw the black flames starting to flare up around Fatinia’s body, her instincts told her not to let those flames touch her.
“I am the God of Death. I have stayed hidden for so long and restored my power. The battle between mortals and gods of ancient times caused me great harm, but now…. Now, I have enough power to take full control of this world. No one can stop me!” Fatinia began compressing her hands together. The flames that surrounded her began to be sucked in, forming a small compressed ball of flames. Fantinia’s eyes became solid black as she looked up at Tomoya with an evil grin on her lips. “Now… let’s see if you can handle this mortal fox. Death Ray!”
A black beam shot at Tomoya at the speed of light. Tomoya had only reacted on instinct as she dodged to the side. The black beam passed by her and flew towards a mountain, smashed into, and caused the entire planet to shake as the mountain itself blew up in a mass of flames that flew skyward, dissipating the clouds overhead.
“Not bad you dodge that nicely. Now, how about….” Fantinia was about to cast another spell when Tomoya suddenly yelled out.
“Wait! Why is it your turn again? You just missed! Now it’s my turn!” Tomoya had no idea if this would work, but she did not wish to see another one of those black beams!
“Huh? Well… I guess you can attack me. Not that it will do any damage, I mean. I am the God of Death. Nothing can hurt death.” Fatinia did not think there was a problem with giving the mortal a chance.
“Really? You are so kind!” Tomoya disappeared. She activated body strengthening, dragonize, limit break, and also coated her fists in disintegration. She reappeared right in front of Fatinia, who thought she would not need to do a thing. That the mortal would attack her, and she would just brush it off. But when she saw Tomoya disappear right in front of her eyes, she suddenly realized she might have just underestimated this mortal.
She quickly went on guard, and when she saw Tomoya’s fist covered in scales and a strange silver aura emanating from it. She felt fear for the first time since her first defeat. She quickly coated her arms in death flames and covered her face to guard against the attack. The fist fell, slamming into her arms, breaking past the flames that she was so proud of without harming Tomoya at all. A cracking sound was heard as Fatinia let out a cry of pain and shot backward, flying through the air.
*Boom!*
“Stupid!” Tomoya snorted before hopping towards the crater that had just formed and standing in the air over it. “Did she die?”
“Mortal! You will die!” A roar came from below as a burst of flames shot up into the air. Tomoya looked down at the figure covered in flames and knew this was not going to be an easy battle at all.
A scary thought also popped into Tomoya’s mind: “If I die in a world that has no reset… Do I die for real?”
