Chapter 35 – Boss Liu’s Comics (2)
Corners of Teacher Zhang’s mouth lifted a little before she resumed her strict look immediately, “Alright, alright. Quiet, class. Your math teacher is here and class is about to begin…”
That being said, Teacher Zhang left the podium and was replaced by the math teacher.
By now all the teachers at the school had already heard about the incident at the dessert shop, including the math teacher. He went on to praise the girls for what they have done before lecturing them on not being so reckless next time and that they must put their safety before anything else before the class began.
After school that day, the students originally on cleaning duty grinned at the girls and left to get dinner with the others. Leaving the group of girls staring at the dirty floor with sad faces.

That was so unfair. They were heroines and now their punishment was to clean the floor.
But what options do they have? Guess they better start sweeping.
FML.
They divided up the responsibilities – some were in charge of sweeping, others mopped. Su Tian and Wang Haoxue took the mops and headed toward the bathroom, they were responsible for the stairwell outside.
The wetted down mops were especially heavy in one’s hand.
All of a sudden, the weight disappeared. Su Tian turned around and saw Boss Liu.
Liu Kaiyan had his hand on one end of the mop and said to her, “Let me do this.”
Su Tian blinked. Wang Haoxue looked at Su Tian, then at Liu Kaiyan. Then, with a slight chuckle, she said, “Tiantian, you take care of this floor, I’ll do the downstairs.”
Then she ran away quickly before Su Tian could respond.
Liu Kaiyan explained himself, “I was on duty today anyway.”
Su Tian wasn’t going to turn down his offer to help. She thanked him, then followed him and watched him mop the stairs.
She must say, Boss Liu was quite an attractive man, especially when looking at from the side. His outline was distinguished, combining his with his tall nose and brow arches. He looked just like a male lead in a manga.
Su Tian was spacing out while looking at him when he suddenly said, “You need to be more cautious over the next few days.”
Su Tian collected her thought and said, “Hmm?”
Liu Kaiyan, “Those people might try to retaliate.”
Su Tian smiled, “Okay, I will be more cautious.”
Liu Kaiyan asked again, “Do you have a cellphone?”
Su Tian, “Yes, it’s at home.”
Cellphones have not yet been as common as her previous world just yet and schools, especially, were very strictly about students having their phones on them. So Su Tian got into the habit of not having her phone with her.
“Bring it with you from now on,” said Liu Kaiyan as he fished out a piece of paper and handed it over to her. “This is my cell number, call me if you need anything.”
Su Tian smiled and took the piece of paper from him. There was a string of numbers on it along with a cutesy version of Boss Liu, looking very similar to the one on the basketball.
Liu Kaiyan went back to being silent and continued with his mopping.
Su Tian, “B…. Fellow classmate Liu, have you taken drawing lessons before?”
She almost slipped and called him Boss Liu.
The cutesy figure was so nicely drawn. It was every bit as good as the drawing of a popular manga artist that she has seen on the market.
Liu Kaiyan shook his head and said, “No, I just doodle when I am bored.”
There was no way Lin Xiuping would let him waste his time on drawing lessons.
Su Tian, holding onto the piece of paper, said, “The little figure is very cute, just like the one on your basketball.”
Seeing that she truly enjoyed his drawing, Liu Kaiyan had a rare smile on his face and he even said, “I have some comics drawn too. If you like I can show them to you.”
Now Su Tian was truly surprised, “That will be great. Where do you have them?”
Liu Kaiyan, “They are in the classroom.”
He couldn’t possibly bring them home. Bringing them home meant a chance for Lin Xiuping to see them.
Su Tian, “Can we go look at them after we are done cleaning?”
Liu Kaiyan smiled again and said, “Okay.”
—
Sitting on the grass of the playground, Su Tian was flipping through generic notebook in her hands. Liu Kaiyan sat next to her and just watched her quietly.
The main character of the comic was a little puppy and Liu Kaiyan named it Kaka. Kaka was a dog who belonged to a circus, and it was forced to train to play tricks every day. If it doesn’t obey, it would get beaten. Kaka wanted to run away every day, but it was caught and brought back every day and it will get a severe beating again.
Su Tian flipped to the last page. It was Kaka planning its final escape. If it succeeded, it would be free; if it failed, it would bid this world farewell.
Su Tian turned another page and all she saw where the remnants of pages that were there.
The pages after that were torn out.
“It was a pitiful dog, right?” said Liu Kaiyan in a very sad voice.
Su Tian felt a grip on her heart. She wasn’t sure how to answer that question.
