The Journey To Find The New Golden Emperor

CHAPTER 142 **Stealing From Everyone…**

“How did you know that Steven was my half-brother, and that he was in danger?” Matthew asked her.

Sahara looked up and then remembered about her…New power…

Looking at her hands for a moment, she then looked up at Band Two, who was looking at her in worry as well.

Suddenly…She laughed.

Getting up slowly and walking up to Band Two, Sahara patted him on the shoulder. “You’re so cute.”

“Hey!” Matthew said, grabbing her hand and pulling her back into himself. “Talk to me!”

Sahara looked back at Matthew and let out a chuckle, “His adoration for Band One is cute!”

Matthew blinked at her and then looked up at both Band One and Band Two…Whom looked at each other.

Band Two quickly looked away and lost his composure completely, while Band One released a soft look, one that seemed relieved.

He won’t tell anyone that he also thought it was cute…But the biggest feeling had been relief…Relief that Band Two hadn’t thought he’d become so weak as to not look up to him as an elder brother anymore. They had been together for years now and Band One might not have a close relationship like that with the Second Prince, but, Band Two had been his friend and someone he felt he could be himself too. If he had lost the friendship that they had for good, there would no doubt be boring days ahead…

Sahara laughed out loud once again, this time looking at Band One, who wasn’t sure what it meant, but felt like it would make sense if she was laughing over his thoughts.

He was…Not happy.

“Okay okay, I’ll stop! I understand now! First, we need to save Steven. We will have to come back to Green Haven and sort out my predicament later.”

Without another second all four of them were somewhere else! There were no holding hands or touching, so it was quite sudden to all of them, except for Sahara.

“Big man!” Sahara yelled out.

Matthew looked up and was surprised to see the Green Haven people that were on their way towards Purple Haven come towards them.

Weren’t they going to save Steven?

“Master, please look…”

Sahara felt herself look across the land and zoom in to a place very far away…

After a short moment, while the entourage came closer to them, Sahara could see the longing of someone who will put people’s lives at stake. His past of using people to obtain what he wanted and his obvious greed for the ‘Golden Throne’ was his life. It stood out like a sore thumb!

Seeing him this way, Sahara was sure that this type of person will pursue what he wants all the way until death…That he would not stop…

Matthew’s fate then shook her core, that he was in fact something called a True Golden Heir and that he was being targeted because of it!

She looked briefly at Matthew, then back away.

The ties that binds us…

Knowing now that Matthew’s life was at risk, Sahara felt a sudden need to protect him. She had already lost so much, she didn’t want to lose anyone else…Especially someone that made her feel the way that Matthew does!

True Golden Heir uh? Oh…Your kidding!

Sahara frowned at the information she ‘read’ through the spiritual essence about the True Golden Heir’s ability to produce and use a golden sword…

It was the one she had wanted to buy!

But, of course, you can’t buy it because it’s produced by the True Golden Heir’s golden dantian!

A simplistic thought quickly ran through her mind to producing it herself, making her let out a small chuckle.

Her new rules upon her powers didn’t apply to making whatever she wanted selfishly, like that of also letting her completely decide upon man’s fate. But at least now, she knows that something is on its way and that she had to get more information upon the ‘Golden’ whatever, so that she understood it more. “Mmm…”

“Little woman! Ha ah! Me boy! You’re here!” The General had come off his horse and smiled, slapping Matthew across the back. “Ah, if you have come to fight me, I will still not fight you while you are with a child!”

Sahara was silent for a while, wanting to shake her head towards the General, “…Big man, announce to everyone not to be scared, I will teleport everyone to Purple Haven now.”

“What!?” Matthew asked.

Now, it suddenly dawned upon him that she had teleported Band One and Band Two, as well as himself, here…Now she was going to do everyone else too!?

“Purple Haven is in need of these people now. I am no longer in control and must take these men there as soon as possible.” Sahara stated looking up at Matthew.

The predicament before her…Could it be what the spiritual essence had talked about?

As much as she would like to go there and just kill every person that the spiritual essence would state as a rebel…It was no longer in her hands…

She would know at a glance upon who had hurt her brother Steven, she would see it in her mind of how they had done it and what they had done…Yet this wasn’t just about her, this was about Purple Haven…This was truly something out of her hands…

And knowing that, she wanted to get there as soon as possible, to free Steven.

With all these sudden extra rules, Sahara had to improvise and her coming to pick these people up and take them to Purple Haven for them to handle what was going on there, was her improvisation…

Matthew widened his eyes, “Sahara, that will…It’ll be too much!”

She smiled at him and said, “It will be fine, I promise.”

Matthew sighed and touched her hair, he wished he was more help to her, that she wasn’t going to exhaust herself…

“I told you I’ll be fine, I won’t exhaust myself, and…You will be helping…”

Sahara lightly coughed to her blunt reply and smiled back up at the entourage, whom were all looking confused to the people going around to tell them to be prepared and they whispered to others close by.

Sahara told the truth, she won’t exhaust herself into unconsciousness, and Matthew would be helping. She was going to get everyone to help!

It wasn’t like she owned spiritual essence now, it was more like they had become one…

You could probably state that she was stealing spiritual essence from everyone, but, now that she had been given the role that the spiritual essence had given her, Sahara felt like she could talk to any of it, anywhere, and they were all happily wanting to do anything she asked…Well, as long as it wasn’t something that went over some strange line…

She could do anything, as long as it wasn’t selfish…Because the more selfish she was, the more the spiritual essence would condense into one to remake the planet…

It was a really strange, weird and odd predicament, but that was how she would explain it. So…To this ‘teleporting’, everyone will be teleporting themselves, instead of Sahara doing it with her own spiritual essence.

The spiritual essence knew of her plans, and since it was within her new set of ‘rules’, she was able to accomplish it.

As soon as everyone knew, Sahara then teleported everything and everyone to a football field, where Steven was being held.

Amongst the large number of gasps and people looking around, Sahara walked forward, upset that Steven wasn’t even awake to see the people that had come to save him.

Loosening the robes and taking out the knifes, Sahara fell to the ground with him, and he woke up.

“Sahara…Dangerous.”

“Little woman, what is going on here?” The General got into business as soon as Steven was freed. He found it obvious that there was something he needed to do!

Pointing to the direction of grey spiritual essence within people, Sahara said, “Many rebels reside in there, the rest are scattered.”

“And how do you know this?” Joshua asked carefully.

Sahara looked at Joshua, then briefly thought for a moment, “I can prove it later. Scatter and try to save some of the women…Then…The palace…The men who didn’t want to partake in this…Rebellion, they are at the palace.”

Putting her hand to her head, Sahara felt like she will always have a headache now…Seeing people’s thoughts and histories, made it hard to concentrate, also seeing the colors of the spiritual essence didn’t help either.

Squeezing her eyes shut to the pain, Sahara found the disadvantages for her power now. If she used them too much, they will hurt her to a degree that she wanted to faint too…

But…She had to do this…She had been in charge of Purple Haven until now and so this ‘rebellion’ was on her shoulders…She had to try and fix it!

There was at least one person who was absolutely all for what Sahara had just done…And this person was the one who ‘caught’ most of the rebels in a happy manner.

No one but the General could be happily laughing and punching someone he didn’t know so hard that that they would go unconscious…

“Sahara, please tell me what’s going on.” Matthew asked, pulling her away from Steven, getting someone else to tend to him instead.

They had been at Purple Haven for an hour now. Sahara had spent most of that, looking like she was in enormous pain, and it had worried Matthew to new heights, that he never knew existed!

It completely hurt Matthew, that he had no idea himself on what was going on.

He felt like he was being left out, even though he understood the urgency of coming here and that Sahara was in pain. …He knew he was being impatient, but he couldn’t help it!

None of this, such as coming back to Purple Haven and even Steven, was as important as the safety of that of his beloved Princess!

Seeing her like this, he felt like they could have waited, that the pain she went through wasn’t worth it!

Determined to talk seriously with her about this, Matthew asked her the same question once again.

What is going on!?

Having had taken Sahara to their dwelling, after being teleported here, they had come across the absolutely petrified Empress Dowager. The royal grandmother sent out many insults towards Sahara, yet backed away to the wall, not taking a step towards her…It was obvious that she had been scared, scared so much that she had wanted to find shelter. She yelled out many times that she can’t go out, that she should stay here, but she didn’t want to be there because Sahara was there now.

Mumblings turned into ramblings and her voice went high to low, whispers and yells…

Her face was tear shrieked and her eyes were wild…Just like her white hair…

To what the elderly woman had seen, upon being teleported here, she had thought it impossible, but was still angry enough to stay sane…To what she saw afterwards, where a child was being beaten and a half naked woman screaming and running away, made her go back inside the place she had been teleported to and hug a corner.

Hearing faint noises of children cries and the screaming women, it wasn’t long after that the Empress Dowager was shaking her head and trembling with fear!

Matthew had tried to ignore her, as he tended to Sahara, but whatever came out of the Empress Dowager’s mouth was full of fear and hatred, so he had gotten someone to look after her and take her away for now.

With the way that she was acting, it might bring on a heart attack and it would be preferable for her not to die here!

The Empress Dowagers screams got worse as she had left the small house and suddenly, they had stopped…Making Matthew sure that the Empress Dowager had been knocked unconscious by someone…But, at that moment, it wasn’t the time to care about the woman who had come up with the plan for taking away his son!

If she didn’t die, that was enough…

Upon Sahara being able to focus once again, she hadn’t even heard the Empress Dowager or knew that she had been crying through the pain…She did know, however, that she had felt like she was being ripped apart from the inside…

She knew that everything had its ups and downs, but she hated the fact that it brought upon her so much agony. It was definitely a repercussion that she did not want to happen all that much!

The spiritual essence told her that she carried too much for a single person to take, but as she mumbled her sorrows to this misfortune, the spiritual essence stated that over time, the pain might lessen…Especially if she were to rank up in her cultivation.

Before, having felt a little better, and knowing that the little men was ok after another ‘pat’ or two, Sahara wanted to see Steven.

It really did suck, Sahara thought, she had no energy now and really just wanted to sleep. But…Steven was really her brother and they had gone through so much together, so she wanted him to know that she was there for him!

Unable to heal him, Steven had once again gone back to sleep and wasn’t even able to see that she had come by, making Sahara feel ill at ease and she repeated herself to the others there that they are to let her know when he wakes,  and that she will come to see him first thing!

Now that she had been by his side for ten minutes, Matthew picked her up and again took them back to their ‘home’, for her to have a much-needed rest.
