Chapter 37
Chapter 37 You Bastard
“Observe carefully, you two. Today, I will be demonstrating a technique known as ‘the airlock needles’. This technique is capable of controlling the body’s vitality flow and prevent its loss. Other than it being a life-saving technique, it can also used to treat chronic illness.”
As he spoke, there was a flash of light and Gui Jianchou’s hands began to glow. Following that, a silver needle pierced into Chief Minister Hua’s back in an almost imperceptible speed, like a flash of after-image.
“Acupuncture is all about speed and accuracy. Otherwise, you’ll just be causing pain to the patient, which is a taboo in the medical profession,” Gui Jianchou said, his face revealed dignified and regal.
In that moment, Gui Jianchou was no longer austere and stern. Instead, he had transformed into a healer, one in possession of unrivalled focus and concentration. A few needles pierced into key pressure points in rapid succession.
Gui Jianchou inserted the rest of the needles, his movements as smooth and natural as floating clouds and flowing water. When the acupuncture process was completed, he heaved a long sigh. Now that the airlock needles were in place, it was time to commence with the next stage of the treatment.
Behind them, Wang Feng watched in shock as Gui Jianchou performed the ‘airlock needles’ until its completion. Wang Feng had been observing the internal state of Chief Minister Hua’s body through his X-ray vision.
He did not know about the exact pressure points that the airlock needles had pierced. All he knew was that the roiling dark Qi within Chief Minister Hua’s body became stagnant the instant all the airlock needles were in place.
It was as if some kind of sedative had been injected into Chief Minister Hua’s body, which then subdued the dark Qi, causing them to stop moving. It was truly a miraculous sight.
“Hah!”
Gui Jianchou shouted all of a sudden, and then he slammed his palm onto Chief Minister Hua’s back. It was a terrifying strike, causing both Wang Feng and He Tian’s brows to shoot to the top of their foreheads. They thought Gui Jianchou was trying to murder the minister.
But as soon as the thought came to them, they immediately dismissed it as some kind of sick joke. The person before them was an honorable and esteemed figure. If they were to kill him, there was no crevice on this earth that could hide them from their impending death.
Although Gui Jianchou’s strike seemed terrifying, its intent was by no means murderous. Some kind of white, misty aura emerged from his arm. By the time his palm came in contact with Chief Minister Hua’s back, and the touch was light and gentle.
Energy seeped into Chief Minister Hua’s body through Gui Jianchou’s palm. The misty aura kept wafting from their two bodies into the air. It looked just like a scene from one of those Wuxia films on TV.
Of course, only people like Wang Feng and He Tian were able to see things like that. Everyone else saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Through his X-ray vision, Wang Feng saw the dark Qi being purged from Chief Minister Hua’s body. The entire process lasted around ten minutes.
“Alright. We’re done here. I’ll give you a prescription later for some herbal medicine. You have to take them on a schedule when you go back,” Gui Jianchou said calmly. Gui Jianchou pulled back his hand.
“Your techniques are amazing indeed, Divine Doctor. I feel so much better now. Looks like it’s the traditional Chinese doctors in Hua Xia that are most reliable,” Chief Minister Hua said, laughing out loud, seemingly in a good mood.
“This is merely a temporary solution. It is impossible to eliminate the root cause in less than a month’s time. Just let me know whenever you have a clear schedule,” Gui Jianchou said. As usual, his face did not contain the slightest hint of a smile.
Chief Minister Hua had long since getting used to Gui Jianchou’s demeanor. “What kind of reward do you seek, Divine Doctor?”
Chief Minister Hua’s face turned somber as he understood that it would cost an arm and a leg to acquire Gui Jianchou’s service.
The truth was that his pain had become unbearable. Otherwise, he would not even have come here.
There’s no need for a reward. I just need a promise from you,” Gui Jianchou said, causing a slight change to Chief Minister Hua’s expression.
“Do not worry. My request will not violate any laws and will not cause you any inconvenience whatsoever. In fact, you do not even have to give me your word,” Gui Jianchou said.
“Haha. Divine Doctor, surely you must be joking. Tell me, then. What kind of promise do you wish me to fulfill?” Chief Minister Hua said with a tiny smile, seemingly relieved.
It would not be a problem as long as it was nothing illegal. In Hua Xia, very few people would dare take his words for granted.
“You just have to do something for me when the time comes. As for what the thing entails, I’ve yet to decide on that. So we’ll table this discussion for now,” Gui Jianchou said flatly.
“Very well,” Chief Minister Hua said with a nod and then went on in a serious tone, “Do know that if there’s anything you need, I will see to it without delay.”
Chief Minister Hua put his clothes back on and said, “The allocated time for this visit is short, so I can’t stay for long. That is why I must take my leave now.”
“Hold on. I’ll write a prescription for you,” Gui Jianchou said as he retrieved a pen and paper. He wrote a few lines on the paper.
Chief Minister Hua took the prescription and thanked him again. After that, he pushed open the door and left. As a national leader, he constantly had to deal with trifles and trivial interactions. Because of that, he did not bother to meet with the government officials waiting outside. He left the building through a private passageway.
Following the Chief Minister’s departure, Gui Jianchou brought Wang Feng and He Tian with him to the lobby.
In the lobby, most people were engaged in conversations with each other. When they saw Wang Feng and his companions, they stopped their chatter and stared. Looks of disappointment formed on a lot of their faces when they noted Chief Minister Hua’s absence.
Chief Minister Hua was a national leader. Establishing a good connection with a leader of such caliber would be an opportunity for them to rise among the ranks.
Though it was obvious that they had now lost their chance.
“It’s rare for everyone to visit. Why don’t we all have lunch together,” Gui Jianchou addressed the crowd in a flat tone.
“Then I thank you for your hospitality,” one of them said. None of them would turn down an invitation from Gui Jianchou. In the end, they all chose to stay.
The living Hua Tuo was highly reputable. Almost everyone in Hua Xia region’s high society knew his name. These people would obviously not turn down his offer.
After all, none of them could guarantee that they would not encounter some kind of terrible ailment in the future which would compel them to seek his assistance. Even someone as prominent as Chief Minister Hua had sought his treatment. Surely, forming a good connection with him would not be a bad thing.
Even without his godlike medical prowess, the power and strength that he possessed far surpassed those of everyone present here. In fact, the man only had to utter a sentence and their goose would be well and truly cooked.
Following the invitation was a feast, which was very lively. The people present were all elites and were constantly looking to make conversation with Gui Jianchou.
Though none of their efforts panned out due to Gui Jianchou’s cold personality. In fact, all of their attempts in conversation ended up in awkwardness.
In the end, they redirected their attention towards Wang Feng and He Tian. They knew that the two of them must be Gui Jianchou’s disciples.
Needless to say, they knew who He Tian was. He Tian was the King of Zhu Hai City’s underworld. They had often crossed path with him.
The fact that He Tian had Gui Jianchou as a master had discouraged their attempts to mess with him. Good thing He Tian had shown a lot of restraint in his activities in recent years. In fact, he was helping to maintain order in Zhu Hai City. Because of that, they now held He Tian in high regard.
Otherwise, He Tian could have been caught a long time ago.
If people were looking to strike up a conversation with He Tian, there would be people looking for Wang Feng too. Wang Feng was merely a nobody whose name was unknown. They had never even seen him before; however, if Wang Feng had the privilege to wear the same robe as He Tian, they did not anyone to spell out for them what it implied.
The guy was an important person in the making. If they take the opportunity to form a connection with him, they may reap huge benefits later on.
Wang Feng was a little unaccustomed to being surrounded by so many people. Also, these people spoke like typical white collars who were pretentious and obsequious. Their words made him uncomfortable.
Wang Feng stayed for about ten minutes before he reached the limit of his tolerance. He could no longer stand being in the company of these people, so he left the Xin Yang Building.
Before he left, Gui Jianchou tossed a painting to him and asked him to have a look at it when he got home. Gui Jianchou did not tell him any other specifics.
Back at the villa, Wang Feng did not see any signs of Bei Yunxue. Instead, he noticed that the crazy woman, Tang Airou, was back.
Wang Feng felt a surge of extreme anger when he saw her. This crazy woman had given his face a beating when he was unconscious. His face was all swollen up because that. He had to pay her back for what she did no matter what.
Wang Feng stared at Tang Airou who was sitting on the couch. Tang Airou had noticed him too. When she recalled the beating she had given Wang Feng a few days ago, she could not help but feel a bit excited. After being so thoroughly bullied by Wang Feng, she had finally gotten her revenge. Naturally, she was satisfied.
But the way Wang Feng was looking at her right now did creep her out a little. He was staring at her as if he was about to swallow her whole.
She shifted her body slightly and gave Wang Feng a wary look. Her hand went to the back of her waist where she felt her gun, ready to pull out the weapon any second.
“What do you want?” Tang Airou said, her face turning slightly pale. She saw the redness in Wang Feng’s eyes. In that moment, Wang Feng looked like the devil himself.
“What do you think I want?” Wang Feng barked out an evil laugh and set down the painting in his hand. He approached Tang Airou slowly.
Alarmed by Wang Feng’s behavior, Tang Airou instantly pulled out her handgun and pointed it at him. “I’m warning you. Don’t come any closer. Or else I’ll shoot you,” Tang Airou said.
Wang Feng did not feel even the slightest fear at the sight of the gun in her hand. He slapped the gun away, causing it to fall to the floor. Then he pounced on her, pressing his entire body on her.
His method of revenge would be exactly the same as before. Wang Feng’s lips crashed down on hers in a rough kiss.
“Wuwuwu…” She sobbed.
Tang Airou tried to scream, but she could not produce a single sound despite her efforts. Wang Feng had wrapped both of her arms were trapped against the couch, rendering her immobile.
The kiss lasted for five minutes, at which point Wang Feng was starting to feel breathless, so he stopped.
He glanced down at the woman under him on the couch and then swallowed a mouthful of drool. Tang Airou looked far too enticing right now.
Her form-fitting police uniform accentuated her perfect figure. Due to her current lying position, the two mounds of flesh on her chest were pushing hard against the fabric of her shirt, which looked like it was about to burst at the seams. Wang Feng felt a rush of blood at what he saw.
Not to mention the fact that she was now completely under his control and that she had this amorous look on her, as if she anticipating him to have his way with her. Wang Feng hardened instantly.
Growing hard was one thing, but to actually follow through would be another thing altogether. He dared not act injudiciously. If he really ended up raping this crazy woman, there was a good chance that he would be shot to death. Even if he were given ten times the courage he currently had, he still dared not act rashly in this situation.
“From now on, don’t ever point your gun at me. I don’t like it,” Wang Feng said before releasing Tang Airou, who was blushing furiously at that point. After that, he picked up his painting and walked back to his room.
“You…” Tang Airou said, trembling in anger as she wiped the saliva off her mouth. She could become the barbaric policewoman in front of others. But whenever she faced Wang Feng, she truly felt helpless and would always find herself to be on her wits’ end.
She wanted to cry. Despair and loathing filled her heart. She had been bullied by Wang Feng too many times.
Not only had he taken away the first kiss that she had preserved for over 20 years, but now he had even violated her.
“You bastard!” Tang Airou screamed as her tears started to flow.
If her colleagues were to see her right now, they would not believe their eyes. The infamous barbaric policewoman, crying?
“Bang!”
The sound of Wang Feng’s door being closed was the only answer she got in return. She could no longer see Wang Feng.
“Wuwuwu…”
She sat on the couch and hugged her head, weeping her hearts out.
