Chapter 276: The Sage Reminisces
Many things had taken place since then.
The biggest change was the renewal of the world's structure.
Basically, I had divided the world into several sections.
A Demon Lord was made in charge of each section.
Each section was regarded as a small world on its own and they managed it while aiming for peace.
The Demon Lords responsible for these worlds were mainly executives.
Both Grom and I were included among them.
Demon Lords were evaluated from multiple perspectives and ranked according to the score received.
That was the “second ranked Demon Lord” that Grom was boasting about.
I held the first place, but there wasn’t any particular meaning in the ranking.
It wasn’t like there was any superiority or inferiority placed by the ranks after all.
It was just a guideline for the future of the Demon Lords.
Why did I divide the world?
It was because I wanted to explore various possibilities for attaining peace.
The multiple Demon Lords would determine the workings of the world based on their respective thoughts.
By doing so, we tried to prevent a dead-end future.
I didn’t think my idea was the best solution.
That was why this kind of attempt was necessary.
By dividing the world, there would be as many challenges as there are possible in the world.
To put it simply, it was just pure experimentation, but I didn’t mind.
I had decided to find the ideal answer for the long run.
Achieving world peace was a very difficult task.
Even after having spent 500 years on it, I still hadn’t found the answer.
I was certain a perfect answer didn’t exist to begin with.
That was why there was no need to rush.
I chose to make use of the eternal time to explore a better future.
On a side note, the Will of the World had completely disappeared.
As that person had died, absurd miracles could no longer be observed.
However, things had become a little suspicious in the last few years.
Phenomena that seemed to stem from the Will of the World began to appear sporadically.
Although the scale was still small, something was definitely happening.
The Will of the World was born from the desires of humanity.
As long as humanity survived, it would revive many times.
Such was the Will of the World.
I thought the uncertain factor had been destroyed, but it seemed to be more troublesome than I had originally thought.
Apparently, the laws that had taken root in the world weren’t so easy to rewrite.
