Chapter 124: Going Home [1]
"I'm going home today."
"Going home? you mean-"
"No."
The day I am about to leave, I went to Vaune first. Who knows what he'll do when he suddenly finds out that I suddenly disappeared.
Hoping that he wouldn't overdramatize, I went over and said my farewells to him.
"I am only going outside this dimension. There's still a lot to do in the Alliance side."
"I see. When will you go back to Aquamarine?"
"Later. I'll try to find a way to bring you back, too. It's just that.." I reminded him of the problems in our home world. "No, it's okay. I now have a new family here."
"Alright then. What about the girl?"
"You mean..."
"Yes, the black-haired one."
During the attack days ago, she actually helped Mister Jikel kill off some Primary Transcendents through the help of consumables. Turns out, she's actually the City Lord's daughter, one who's also the disciple of a certain Advanced Transcendent.
This also answered my doubts when I saw that certain trait of hers in her panel.
[Primordial Sword God Physique]
-All swords lead to one path. With this, the possessor can see through every sword technique down to its origin. With a single look, the possessor could understand the mysteries behind each sword strike, if not all.
Just like the [Genesis Phoenix God Physique], this is one of the first god physiques to be born. I haven't read much about it on Master's study, but I do remember seeing it on one of the more ancient books.
It said that one would literally have a pathway to the top once someone has this. When they become a Deity, they could immediately challenge the Peak of their tier.
In Deity realm, every rank is divided further than Low, Mid, and High. The Deity Realm is actually divided into 9 stars, with the rank going up every 3 stars.
Meaning, 1 star to 3 stars is at Low-Rank, 4 star to 6th star is at Mid-Rank, and 7 stars to 9 stars is at High Rank.
Once someone possesses the said physique above, he or she could immediately challenge a 3-stars Low-Rank Deity when they're only at 1-star Low-Rank Deity!
"Well, Sakuya told me that she'll be studying away from here. Do you know the reason why, Commander?"
"No."
But, I do have some guesses. Just maybe, her family had wanted Sakuya to cut off her ties here, so that she could train better. This is the reason why he almost died since they saw that she liked Vaune.
'What a stupid reason.' I thought. Do they still believe that "Men/Women make the sword duller" saying? This is stupid.
Though, these are just my guesses. I do hope that they're not that stupid, else Vaune will face more trouble.
"Mn. I'll be departing."
"Take care."
I left Vaune's school and grabbed one last ice cream before I went to the praerie.

"Stealth systems online."
"Space jumping in 3..2...1."
All of a sudden, something moved out on the grass field before disappearing. It produced some fluctuations, which had alerted the sensors on the planet.
"Sir! Space fluctuations became very active just now!"
"Fluctuations? Where?"
"In the Kerghan Praerie."
"Damn it, it must be those terrorist bastards!"
Unfortunate for them, they wouldn't be able to find them anymore.
"Report this to the planet lord!"

I grasped a steel handle in the new interstellar ship that I am in. This is more advanced than what Kaede brought out before.
We never had a chance to switch ships in the space tunnel in the first place, thus the reason why we are only using this now.
"Scanners say that we are still in the enemy lines. Based on the readings..." Yanagi Yuki, one of the other vice-captains, read out loud.
'Please, let it be near the home base.' I thought. 'Solomon's stuff is already gone, do not teleport us deeper in the enemy lines..!'
"We're near Point A in the Skirmish Zone."
"Finally!"
"Yes!"
"We're so damn lucky."
In the frontlines, there's a place where daily skirmish happens, kinda like the borders of each faction. It is called "Skirmish Zones".
There, deaths occur in a daily basis. What's more, rare materials often pop up in that zone, which is from other dimensions.
Sometimes, there's a resource star that would just appear out of nowhere.
Still, it's a good news that we're already nearby. Once our side sends some squadrons to do their daily work, we can finally get out of this place.
"Calm down. This place would be teeming with more zergs right now. All we need to do right now is to reach an outpost. Noah."
"All right, I'm already doing it. This it, it seemed to work."
"No space jumps, we'll try to sneak over." Captain Vera said to Major General Yanagi.
"Understood!"
I saw the ship becoming faster, which might be the result of activating several boosts. Qi and Mana really are the wonder of the technological civilizations.
If my guesses are correct, this ship is able to run for a few days at this speed thanks to the Spirit and Mana containers such as stones, crystals, etc. It also produces lower stress on the mechanical parts compared to using nuclear reactors.
"There are some skirmishes over there."
"Let's just hope that we'll never get find out." I said to Light. "How're your consumables?"
"Gone. Spent it all in that apocalyptic mess."
"Nice pun."
He laughed as I replied to him. Right now, I wish to get out of this high-stress state. Yes, I had experienced some chase in the past, but I am not as stressed as now.
There's just a tad difference between being chased and going on a stealth mission.
Right now, I actually expanded the range of my [A Reader's Perspective] so that I could know in real-time if we got found out.
It took a toll on my mind, but this is all worth it.
I watched the outside view filled with stars. Looking beside me, I can tell that the others are slightly tense too. Perhaps a bit excited and nervous.
The clock ticked by and more explosions happened here and there. This uncomfortable feeling of not being able to help continued until we saw a slightly huge structure that has numerous docking spaces.
In the middle of it is an empty space, used to open the warp gates for emergencies.
"We're finally back."
I heard many others heave a sigh of relief like me.
