Shuttling Between the Two Worlds

Chapter 123: Resolution [3]

It didn't take long before I arrived at the tournament venue. There, I saw Mister Jikel along with 3 half-dead Intermediate Transcendents.

"I've saved her. Are they dead?"

"Almost."

"Then, can you help me kill them myself?"

With these guys, I know that I'll be getting a huge amount of EXP, perhaps enough to upgrade the rest of my traits to LVMAX. They also have these Origin Powers, to boot.

"Hm.. If I locked their powers, will you be able to kill the yourself? They'll be as tough as a normal Primary Transcendents. There's also this guy."

He pointed towards the man with a bulky build.

"He focused on his physique, so it can match up a normal Low-Rank Deity of our world."

"No worries, Mister Jikel. I'm confident to kill them all in one go."

"Alright then."

He started doing something similar to acupuntures, though he also injected some special needles at them.

At that moment, their aura became a lot weaker.

"What-what have you done to us?!"

"T-this?!"

"Our powers!"

Their shock is understandable as losing your strength that accompanied you for hundreds of years is no laughing matter.

'Thankfully, I could use <<Sword of Destruction>> again due to the trait [Perfect Physique] plus my God-King Bodies. I now know just how huge the gap between Deities and Demigods...'

Infusing light elements into my spearblade, I readied myself to launch the blow that would kill them all at once.

I felt that the spearblade is finally saturated with these light elements. I closed my eyes and began invoking "hope" in my heart.

It didn't take long before the momentum of the spearblade became stronger. I got a 15-fold increase, huh...

"<<Sword of Destruction>>!"

Swooosh! Swooosh!

Two consecutive strikes were made, integrating with my mental power before the surrounding space cracked yet again.

The feeling of death became closer and closer to those three, but they couldn't do a thing.

"NOOO!"

Three heads flew in the sky before their bodies started spurting golden blood. Moments later, all signs of life disappeared within them.

[100,000,000,000 EXP has been gained]

...

A total of 300B+ EXP went straight to my EXP bar. Though not that much compared to the requirements of being a Deity, it's still very useful at this stage.

"Mister Jikel, let's go first. Things will be troublesome at this point."

"Alright then."

I take a look at Vaune and gave him two of the God-Ranked consumables.

"These are the things that could potentially kill a Primary Transcendent. See you later."

"Wai-"

I disappeared using [Space Transfer], leaving Vaune confused.

***

"Her guardian is dead. What about the intruders?"

She scanned the place using her divine power, only to see three Intermediate Transcendents' corpses. Their Transcendent Core were gone as well, only leaving these corpses lying in the ground.

"Hm..? I can't seem to read the attack."

She tried to read Lugh's attack but failed due to the Karma Severing Function of the <<Myriad Forms Armament>>.

"At least two mysterious powerhouses of Intermediate Transcendents. Hah. Two more people with the strength similar to us."

She wondered how the heck they got here, but more importantly, she doesn't know of their intentions.

For now, she'll assume that they're against the Life Crown. Three Intermediate Transcendents plus more than 5 Primary Transcendents is quite a big hit even to the organization that fought against 5 Star Systems at the same time.

'Are they an enemy or an ally?'

This thought began plaguing her mind after she first thought of it.

***

"You two, where had you been?"

"Sorry... We got caught up in a troublesome battle."

"Both of you got involved in that battle just now?"

They were about to go on a briefing, but Lugh and Jikel never responded to their comms.

"We apologize for that, captain."

"Don't do it next time."

With that, the briefing began.

"This dimension is around 5 Star Clusters big. It can remain undetected under ours and the zerg's detection."

"It's really interesting on how they managed to remain undetected until now..."

When operating a stealth technique, a person would try to converge their presence very minuscule. But then, here comes the most interesting part.

This dimension emitted a very special kind of wave, whereas it counteracted the waves sent out by the detection tools.

This made it possible for it to remain undetected until now.

"The point here is that we could lay low for a while until we go out again or use those waves and try to retreat once again.", Vera stated.

'Two ways. I'm more inclined towards laying low since they could somehow find us with all that stealth, but we might get declared as MIA if we stall for too long.'

All of a sudden, [A Reader's Perspective] activated and sent something over to him.

Lugh was stunned upon seeing the sentence {The thing left by Solomon has expired.}

'That's how it is! Those fucks tracked us due to this!'

Now, his dilemma changed to how he could convince the entire team to retreat once again.

"I think we should leave."

""Lugh?""

"If we stall for too much time, we might have lesser chances of leaving. The recon might leave up or we might be declared MIA at worse."

"We can't just go outside yet. They have a definite method of finding us."

Looking at them, he found out that some did agree with him, but some disagreed, saying that turtling in this dimension is a much better thing to do.

Lugh calmly analyzed the bits of information that they had to create a convincing argument.

"If you notice, the way they track us is not something that a High Rank Deity can do. Because if it does, Captain would notice their gazes, right?"

"That's right.", she replied to him. As a High-Rank Deity, any mentions of their names or gazes of some hostiles would get detected by them.

"But what does it have to do with this?"

"What I'm saying here is that they might be using something that surpasses a High-Rank Deity. What goes above them that might be present in the frontline?"

Lugh asked this rhetorical question to them. There's no surprise when they guessed the meaning behind his words.

"Peak Deities, huh. Should be one of the 12 Seats, then."

Another vice-captain who ranked as a Major General spoke.

"We'll be dead if they're the ones actually tracking us, but we're not. That leaves-"

"That leaves them using something time-limited left by Peak Deities."

Vera finished what Lugh was about to say. She also came to a realization that there might be a higher chance for the rendezvous to succeed. If the team who is waiting for them in the frontline leaves, they'll have an even lesser chance of succeeding.

"It's decided. After waiting for another 2 days, we leave."

After making this declaration, the team members left the hotel room.
