Chapter 37 - Misunderstanding
At this moment, Soong Wan was shocked as well!
While she felt a bit anxious, a sudden recollection of Jiang Hao's words from when they entered the examination hall crossed her mind.
“Could it be that Jiang Hao truly concealed his abilities in the past?”
However, her suspicion grew when she saw that he had already completed a third of the questions.
On the other side, Qin Shou was also taken aback by Jiang Hao's actions, and a hint of unease crept into his thoughts.
But soon, he remembered the rumors about Jiang Hao, and his anxiety ebbed away.
Following that, a flicker of mockery crossed his eyes as he thought to himself.
“He may want to grab everyone's attention, but it might be for the best if he gives up!”
He then turned his focus back to his own test, no longer paying any heed to Jiang Hao.
At that moment, the exam proctor furrowed his brow, cast a glance at Jiang Hao, and descended from his platform.
After reviewing Jiang Hao's exam paper, the proctor spoke up.
“You cannot submit your paper just yet. You'll have to wait for another 40 minutes!”
“However, don't just focus solely on answering all the questions. You're all in your third year of high school now, and the college entrance exam is less than a month away.”
“Didn't your teacher emphasize that no matter the type of exam, you should approach it with seriousness and composure? Even if you finish early, don't rush to submit your papers. Would you like to review your work a few more times?”
The proctor kindly reminded the students.
Yet, Jiang Hao was exceptionally self-assured and didn't appreciate the advice!
“Teacher, I've already checked it three or four times!”
In truth, Jiang Hao wasn't lying!
However, the proctor remained skeptical. He couldn't believe that Jiang Hao was completely disregarding his well-intentioned counsel, and his opinion of Jiang Hao immediately suffered.
He furrowed his brow and said sternly.
“Very well, if that's the case, please keep your head down on your desk. Let's not disturb others. When 40 minutes are up, you can turn in your exam.”
With that, he turned away, ignoring Jiang Hao, and returned to the podium.
“The rest of you still have time to complete your answers. Please refrain from whispering to each other. There's ample time remaining!”
Seeing this, Jiang Hao felt helpless. He could only lie down!
Very quickly, ten minutes passed very quickly!
Jiang Hao raised his hand again and was about to speak!
When the invigilator in charge noticed a student who seemed to be persistently disruptive, a sense of irritation washed over them, prompting a cold remark.
“The student at the back who raised their hand, please submit your exam paper now. Let's not disrupt the others trying to concentrate.”
The rest of the students in the classroom were taken aback, only to witness Jiang Hao handing in his paper and walking to the front.
In that instant, their emotions varied.
Nevertheless, most of them were riddled with skepticism, and a hint of mockery even crept in.
Only Soong Wan regarded Jiang Hao with a worried expression.
Jiang Hao exchanged a reassuring glance with Soong Wan.
The invigilator then spoke up once more.
“You may leave once you've handed in your exam paper. Please avoid lingering here and disrupting your fellow students.”
Jiang Hao smiled, not uttering a word, and turned to exit the room.
On his way home, Jiang Hao contemplated the notion of breaking something valuable, seemingly indifferent to the wager between him and Qin Shou.
“Quick, who can help call the emergency number? Don't just stand there!”
“Stop arguing, I have already called!”
“Spread out and let the air flow. Don't surround them!”
“Which one of you drive these two to the hospital?!”
“Who dares to drive them? Go! What if they extort you?”
……
At this moment, a sudden commotion emanated from up ahead. Jiang Hao raised his gaze and beheld a sizable throng of individuals encircling the Sky Mansion Garden!
Clearly, something significant had transpired in that vicinity!
Fueled by his inquisitiveness, Jiang Hao took a few strides forward, ready to partake in the spectacle. After all, the day was still young!
Following a struggle to maneuver through the crowd, Jiang Hao eventually laid eyes on an exceptionally attractive young woman crouched on the ground, cradling an elderly gentleman dressed in a traditional Tang suit, who was shedding tears uncontrollably.
As for the elderly man, his eyes had turned completely white, his countenance was pallid, and his entire body appeared to have stiffened!
