Mesugaki Tank Enters The Academy

Chapter 653

Chapter: 653

While Lucy and Nevera were moving underground, chaos erupted above ground.

The Apostle of Magic, a respected wizard from the empire, jumped down to rescue a girl.

Several wizards, who revered her, tried to follow her down, shouting to summon the knights, and the confusion that lingered among them spread to the citizens, leading the city into disorder.

A few calm individuals shouted to restore order, but their power was far too insufficient to dispel the confusion that had already spread.

Even if they were somewhat powerful, it wouldn’t change much.

The chaos in the city was not just due to the people’s bewilderment.

With the ominous energy flowing out from below, grasping and shaking people’s emotions, it would be difficult for anyone to quell the chaos in the city.

“Young Lady.”

Amidst the turmoil, Erin, staring at the hole, clasped her hands together and began to pray.

“Great Lord Jushin, please protect our kind and gentle young lady.”

Then, it happened. A sudden tremor began to resonate from the ground that had been quiet until now.

In the violent upheaval that made it hard even to stand, people mingled chaotically.

“Lady Erin!”

Karl, lifting Erin with his arms, leaped over the crowd and onto a nearby building.

“Did the young lady do something?!”
“It must be so! Our young lady cannot fail!”

Not long after, two figures burst through the darkness.

Lucy and Nevera, the Apostle of God and the Apostle of Magic, appeared as if shot up from below.

Seeing their master safe leaping up into the sky, Karl and Erin were left speechless.

“Wha… What is that?”
“Well, it’s a young lady, so maybe something profound…”
“Kyah!?”

As Erin nearly toppled from the intensifying tremor, Karl, who caught her, opened his mouth, agape at the monstrous figure breaking through the darkness.

That was a being that should not exist in this world. A monster that should not have been allowed to stand on the land.

“Lady Erin! Stay right here!”
“Karl?!”
“Nia!”

It’s showtime!

Running on the wind conjured by Nia, Karl slashed the tentacles of the monster trying to reach for the nearby humans.

“Don’t just stand there dazed! Move! Now!”

At Karl’s bellow, the wizards cast their spells one after another. However, it was too late.

Their response was far too inadequate compared to the strength of that monster.

They had to hold out until they could regroup! At least until the young lady returns!

Just as Karl steeled himself, suppressing his fear, a sun appeared high in the sky.

It was larger, hotter, and brighter than the sun that originally resided in the sky—a miracle of God.

Karl, who had been blankly staring at the light, forgot all prior resolutions as he gradually spotted his master beneath it and let out a sigh.

He had once decided he would catch up to the young lady one day.

At some point, he began to think he wouldn’t fall behind her.

And now, he wished he could at least keep up with that figure behind him.

The sun that fell from the sky plunged into the darkness cast over the land.

The minions of evil struggled to push back the light, but each time, the sun shone even brighter without dimming in the slightest.

How long did the confrontation between darkness and light last?

The persistent light, growing ever larger, burst forth, casting warm snowflakes down from the city’s sky.

The hole, which had just recently been filled with the monster’s presence, was now empty, and in the center of the square stood a small girl.

With her flowing red hair, she surveyed the world with jewel-like eyes, caressed her pale skin, and flashed a playful smile that could enchant even the gods.

Who could doubt her?

Who could deny that she was the hero chosen by God?

The young lady is the one who will save this world, the hero who succeeded the heroes of distant past, and the Apostle chosen by the great Lord Jushin.

That figure is my master.

Amidst the divine light swirling around her, Lucy stood alone so beautifully that Karl almost shed tears as he noticed something had fallen beside her.

From the dust, Nevera, the Apostle of Magic, sprang up and rushed towards Lucy.

“What are you supposed to do if you suddenly drop me from the void?!”
“Can’t you fly? Your level is way too low.”
“You could at least give me some time to prepare! What am I supposed to do when my head is spinning? I almost died!”

“What a shame. You should’ve died. I bet even losers would want to switch out their lackeys by now.”
“Is that something you should say to me?!”
“Why? Did it sting? You’re starting to feel how low your level is?”
“Ah! You! I will never forgive you!”

Seeing Nevera rush towards Lucy, Karl let out an exasperated sigh and headed toward Lucy.

Nevera, having bravely charged in only to be stomped by Lucy, desperately sought help from Karl but was ignored.

In the reception room of the Church dedicated to the God of Magic.

Nevera, who seemed displeased about having been stomped after rushing at me, opened her mouth with a sigh.

“It’s hard to believe that a brat like you is the Apostle of God.”
“It’s believable that a poor girl like you is a lackey of the loser. There are many similarities.”
“Can you stop flapping your gums? Hah. Seriously. You looked so cool fighting that monster.”
“Huh. Are you falling for me? You’re such a sloppy woman.”
“I like that guy! A man!”

This little one is unexpectedly fun to tease. Every time I poke, she charges at me cutely.

When I saw her on the monitor, I only thought of wanting to hit her, but I wonder what she went through in the meantime?

“Anyway, if what you said is all true, then this isn’t the time to be doing this. Catastrophes like this could happen across the continent.”
As long as the Pope is trying to resurrect Agra, such disasters will occur everywhere.

It’s not just Agra’s minions.
The Evil Gods sealed in the massive dungeons will also break free, along with their followers stepping onto the land.

The return of the Age of Myth means the gods’ war will begin anew, and the start of war implies many sacrifices.

But those still in the continent are doubting this fact.

What can we do?

For hundreds of years, gods have grown infinitely distant from us.

In this situation, who would listen if I shouted that an evil god would resurrect?

Unless a gathering of apostle voices were to happen.

“I understand what you’re trying to say. I also don’t wish for meaningless sacrifice. Let’s participate in your great work.”
“Can you convince those other fools?”
“Just connect me with Prete. I know where the other apostles are, so I’ll try to persuade them.”
With that, the purpose of coming to the city was perfectly achieved.

“By the way, why aren’t you moving directly? If you, the Apostle of God, persuade them, anyone would agree.”
“Ha! What nonsense are you talking about? You think those sloppy fools can handle me?”
“I understand. That would have a counterproductive effect.”

There’s no way I, possessing Mesugaki Skill, could persuade others!

Physical persuasion might work, but nothing else would!

But then again, they accepted it so easily that it’s bothering me!

I’m not happy about it!

While I was grumbling at Nevera, who was shaking her head, she suddenly stopped and giggled.

What’s going on? Why is she laughing all of a sudden? Did the God of Magic say something to you?

As I felt a presence from above, I looked up to find friends floating above my head and blinked.

Hearing the sharp screams ringing in my ears, I reached out, catching Joy and Phoebe, one in each arm.

It’s definitely noticeable how much heavier Phoebe seems by a few kilos.

It’s hard to imagine that just the holy pouch alone would create such a difference.

Did Phoebe really gain weight?

While I was thinking this, Frey landed lightly, and Arthur demonstrated his skill of falling face-first.

After being friends with a goofball for so long, it’s evident that I contracted the goofball virus.

“Lucy!”
“Lady Young!”
“Lucy.”

Being squeezed tightly by Joy and Phoebe, I was running out of breath.

Every man dreams of such a happy death, and I did as well, but unfortunately, reality was bleak.

I can’t breathe!

In the midst of suffocating in real-time, can I even feel the soft touch!?

Happiness can only be felt when there’s some leeway!

“Both of you. At this rate, Lucy Allen is going to die.”
“Ah! Lucy! I’m sorry!”
“I apologize! Lady Young! How dare I do this to you!”

Thanks to Arthur’s mediation, I was released and gasped for air, only to spot Frey clinging to my waist like a monkey.

What is this little one doing? I tried to shake her off, but she stubbornly held on, so I ended up giving up first.

She isn’t heavy, and I figure she might fall off when she gets bored.

After a while, true friends finally realized that Nevera was before me.

“…Apostle of Magic.”
“Wait a second. Phoebe, is this person an Apostle of Magic?!”
“That’s right. Joy. I’ve seen you at official events, so I remember.”
“Yeah. Hello, everyone. I am Nevera, Apostle of Magic.”

Displaying a faint look of distaste, Nevera glanced at Phoebe through narrowed eyes.

“I didn’t expect the Saintess to have such a maidenly appearance.”
“…Could you pretend you didn’t see it?”
“It’s too delightful a sight to ignore.”
“Ugh.”

Blushing to her ears, Phoebe looked down, and Nevera let out a small chuckle.

She couldn’t do anything in front of me, but she dares to provoke my friend?

As I pondered how to give her a fitting jolt, Frey suddenly spoke up.

“Um. Is the God of Magic greater than Lord Erginius?”

The fool detonated a bomb.
