Hunter, Thank You For Your Blood Donation!

Vol. 1 Chapter 2.5 - A Strange Cohabitation with a Natural Enemy (5)

‘I-I need to escape quickly…’

Si-wol tried to move his body, his eyelids twitching. But to his surprise, his entire body had stiffened and he couldn’t move at all.

‘Oh no! This can’t be happening?!’

Perhaps due to his weakened state, it seemed that even within the shadows, he was affected by the sunlight. He had fallen victim to his own weakness. Thanks to that, Si-wol could only whimper without even opening his eyes.

Ugh

Huh

…”

A muffled sound escaped through his slightly parted lips. He tried to exert strength in every corner of his body to move, but it was in vain. His half-useless body was truly pathetic.

‘Now of all times… Ugh, I should have known and prepared spare blood packs or something.’

Even though he didn’t have the money to do so, everything now seemed to be his fault.

He should have prepared spare blood packs, or at least created an escape route in the room. He should have run away when he could still move yesterday.

He continued to regret the past.

No, no. No matter how weak he was to temptation, he shouldn’t have sucked the hunter’s blood. More importantly, he should have realized earlier when he saw the nickname “Hunter.”

No… No, that’s not it. He shouldn’t have done any kind of broadcast. He should have done manual labor and quietly bought blood packs. Why did he foolishly pursue fame and fortune, doing broadcasts without any fear, and deceive viewers who fell for the vampire concept…

The sound of sobbing grew louder. Thanks to the sunlight being blocked by the blackout curtains, Si-wol’s body was slowly recovering, albeit very subtly. But lost in despair, Si-wol didn’t notice this. He simply lay sprawled out like a broken doll, tears pouring out and sobbing.

That’s when it happened.

The door suddenly swung open without warning.

“Can you get up?”

It was the man whom Si-wol thought had left.

“….!”

Suddenly, Si-wol felt his upper body being lifted. His neck was grabbed and he was forcefully pulled up. Startled by the sudden situation, Si-wol mustered all his strength and opened his eyes. And there, he saw the man sitting, supporting himself with one leg against Si-wol’s back, looking down at him.

“You still can’t speak, huh? Even if you’re dead, you should die after keeping your promise. Isn’t that right?”

The man extended something towards Si-wol. It was a corpse emitting a faint smell.

A corpse?! Why did a dead body suddenly appear?

Wait, could it be… Did he think I collapsed because I was hungry?

Oomph

,

ooomphmph

!”

Si-wol, who realized that playing dead wasn’t working at all, desperately shouted. However, all that came out of his stiffened throat were incomprehensible groans.

However, Ian showed no interest in whether Si-wol was mumbling or whimpering. He simply tried to place a spoon in Si-wol’s hand. But upon seeing the thin, lifeless fingers, he immediately gave up.

“I guess there’s no other choice. Eat quickly and regain your strength.”

In the end, Ian started feeding Si-wol directly.

“…

Ugh

!”

Si-wol, overwhelmed by this unbearable situation, clenched his lips and resisted. The spoon with the food touched his lips, but it slid down his stubborn lips and dripped onto his chin.

“……”

Ian paused for a moment at the sight. Si-wol, sensing his expression, trembled in fear and even closed his eyes tightly when he saw Ian raising his empty hand.

Preparing himself for the impending danger, Si-wol tensed his body with all his strength. However, his efforts were in vain as Ian only gripped both sides of Si-wol’s cheeks.

“Open up.”

With a brief command, an immense force was applied.

“….!”

Feeling the pain as if his cheeks were about to split, Si-wol quickly released the strength he had been exerting. As a result, his lips parted, forming a shape similar to a duck’s bill. Just like a mother bird feeding its chick, the spoon filled with the food was inserted into that bill.

“…

Ugh

,

ugh

!”

“You eat well.”

Ian muttered as if it was unexpected, but in reality, he was the one forcing Si-wol to perform the chewing and swallowing movements. By applying pressure to Si-wol’s cheeks, he made it possible for him to chew and swallow the food.

‘You… you’re cruel…!’

Si-wol looked at Ian with tears welling up in his eyes. Instead of receiving a blow, he received food, but from Si-wol’s perspective, even this was no different from violence.

After all, Ian was the person who had tried to kill him mercilessly. Although Si-wol managed to survive by using his wits, his life was always uncertain depending on Ian’s whims.

And now, Ian wanted to keep him alive for some purpose of his own. It felt like meeting a caretaker who treated his wounds in order to inflict even greater torture.

‘Sniff, sniff…’

Si-wol sobbed inwardly. It felt so unfamiliar to be fed when he didn’t want to eat. The man who pressed and released his cheeks had such a strong force that his whole face felt numb. His blind delusion of trying to save himself at all costs was more terrifying than grateful.

‘I’m scared…’

He looked intelligent, but all he could do was overpower Si-wol with his strength. The difference in power between him and Si-wol felt as vast as that between a dinosaur and an ant.

Si-wol wanted to resist because of the vampire’s pathetic pride that refused to easily submit to a human, but it crumbled time and time again. Si-wol despised the man who humiliated him at will. However, he was too afraid to show his true feelings, fearing that he would be killed immediately.

Sob

Ah

,

ugh

.”

Si-wol, who was being devoured without a moment to breathe, whimpered and choked.

‘I-I’m not human, so it’s useless for me to eat this…!’

He desperately wanted to explain this situation to him.

However, as soon as Si-wol managed to swallow, the next spoonful was already poking at his teeth, waiting. So, if he reluctantly accepted and ate, the man would release his grip and joyfully make him chew again. If Si-wol resisted and refused to swallow, he would subtly provoke him and make him swallow.

To Si-wol, it felt like a repetitive act of worthlessness. It was even embarrassing in some ways. Even the consideration of making it easier to eat made Si-wol feel helpless. He couldn’t help but wonder what this person was doing, and tears flowed endlessly.

‘You, a vampire hunter? But how can you not know vampires to this extent?! Huhuhu… Just be honest. You actually want to kill me, but since you can’t do it right away, you’re torturing me, right? Isn’t that right??’

Unfortunately, the merciless hunter didn’t seem to understand Si-wol’s unjust feelings at all. He only hoped that Si-wol would regain his strength and keep his promise, while diligently force-feeding him.

Umm

,

ahhmm

,

ugh

!”

“I don’t understand what you’re saying, so just focus on eating.”

He must have been very hungry.

The words were as warm as the spring sun, but the situation unfolding was cruel beyond measure.

Huuu

Huuuu

….”

Si-wol felt unjust and wished for death.

Because the sun is now covered, his body will gradually recover. But that man, who seems to have no intention of listening to what he says, will probably think that he regained his energy by force-feeding him.

I don’t want you to think that my survival instinct is all thanks to you!

Setting aside all other grievances, that alone felt incredibly unfair.

Ugh

…,

huuu

!”

“I’m just doing what is expected of me, so there’s no need to thank me that much.”

However, Ian, who was deeply mistaken, spoke as if he were being considerate. Si-wol then made a vow. As soon as he regained his strength, he would find the hunter’s weapon, aim it at his own chest, and pull the trigger himself.
