Momo returned to their house, her heart swelling with relief as she caught sight of Mokami waiting for her, surrounded by their family and friends. Mika stood beside Eri with Nejire nearby. Eire was also present, along with Ryukyu and Mirko.
As Momo stepped through the doorway, Mokami rushed to her side, enveloping her in a tight embrace. It was as if relaxing his arms would mean losing her once again. Momo felt the warmth and safety of his arms, and her heart overflowed with love and gratitude.
"Momo, I'm so glad you're safe," Mokami whispered into her ear, his voice filled with relief and emotion. "Sorry, I couldn't save you."
Mokami held Momo close, his eyes tightly shut as he struggled to contain the anger and frustration boiling inside him. He had always prided himself on being able to protect those he loved, and yet, when it mattered most, he had been powerless to help Momo.
"I... I should have been the one to save you," Mokami said, his voice barely audible. "I should have been there for you. I failed you, Momo."
Momo looked into Mokami's eyes, her own filled with understanding and compassion. She knew how much it hurt him to admit his perceived failure, but she also knew that it was important for him to face these emotions head-on. She reached up and gently placed her hand on his cheek, her thumb brushing away a stray tear.
"Onii-chan," she whispered softly, "you didn't fail me. You've always been there for me, and I know that you would have moved heaven and earth to save me if you could have. We can't control everything that happens in our lives, but we can choose how we face it."
As Mokami looked into her eyes, the love and trust shining there seemed to soothe his turbulent emotions. He took a deep breath and slowly released her from his embrace, his eyes never leaving hers.
"I will always be grateful for your love and support," Momo said, her voice filled with warmth and affection. "But you shouldn't blame yourself for things beyond your control. I'm home now, safe and sound, and that's what matters."
To emphasize her point, she leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, almost on his lips, causing Mokami's face to flush with a mixture of embarrassment and gratitude. As she pulled away, she couldn't help but smile at the sight of his usually composed face now tinged with red.
As others came to hug Momo as well, showing concern and relief, the garden was filled with warmth and love. Mika embraced her tightly, tears streaming down her face. "I was so worried, my dear," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "I'm so grateful you're back."
Er stepped forward and wrapped her arms around both Momo and Mika, adding her own tears to the mix. "We missed you so much, Nee-chan. It's so good to have you back."
Nejire couldn't contain her excitement and joy. "Momo, I'm so glad you're okay!" she exclaimed, pulling her into a tight hug. "We were all so worried about you."
Eire gently patted Momo's back, offering her own words of comfort. "You're a strong girl, Momo. We knew you would make it back to us."
Ryukyu and Mirko also approached, their faces filled with relief and pride. "You've done well, Momo," Ryukyu said, her voice firm but gentle. "We're proud of how you've handled everything."
Mirko grinned, punching Momo lightly on the shoulder. "You've got one heck of a fighting spirit, kid! No wonder you managed to get out of there."
As everyone took turns embracing Momo, Mokami stood nearby, watching the scene unfold. Despite his earlier words, he couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility for his sister's safety. He knew that he couldn't control everything, but he still wished he could have done more.
"Mokami, you should join us," Momo said, extending her hand towards him. "We're all here together now. Let's enjoy this moment."
With a small smile, Mokami stepped forward and joined the group hug, his arms wrapping protectively around Momo. As they all stood there, embraced in a circle of love and support, they knew that they had each other's backs, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
Soon, their classmates from Class 1-A and Class 1-B arrived at the house, accompanied by Aizawa, Nezu, and Vlad King. The arrival of their teachers and fellow students brought an infectious energy to the gathering, and Momo felt a renewed sense of strength and determination. The Subterranean Sentinels - Terraformer, Lumina, and Echo - also made their appearance, drawing curious glances from the assembled crowd.
As Momo and Mokami's classmates approached, it was clear that they were relieved to see Momo safe and sound. They took turns embracing her and expressing their concern.
"Momo-san, we were all really worried about you," Kirishima said, his voice filled with emotion. "It's great to have you back."
"We couldn't believe how it happened," Asui chimed in, her eyes brimming with tears. "We're just so glad you're okay."
Even Bakugo, not known for his sentimentality, offered a gruff, "Glad you're not dead, Evil Witch."
Their friends from Class 1-B also expressed their relief and happiness at Momo's return. Ibara Shiozaki stepped forward, her voice soft but filled with genuine concern. "We're all so grateful that you're safe, Yaoyorozu-san. It's wonderful to have you back with us."
Reiko Yanagi nodded, adding her own words of support. "We were all holding our breath, waiting for news. It's such a relief to see you here."
After everyone had a chance to greet Momo, she and Mokami led Nezu, Aizawa, Vlad King, and the trio of the Subterranean Sentinels to Mokami's study. They needed to discuss recent events and plan for the future.
