Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

He looked at his side and found out that the smoke was now losing its effect so he increased his speed, afraid to get caught. 

He had already achieved his goal which is why he doesn't need to fight anymore. He just needed to escape and went towards his escape route. So he ran but the second leader shot a shuriken shot from behind. He dodged it successfully but it made him slow down. 

He ran away again but because of his previous wounds on his legs, his movements have slowed down. The pain gradually took its effect as time passed by and his energy kept going down because he had been using his power to stop the blood flow of his wounds. But right now he is already expanding his energy from time to time. He knew that he needed to escape right away especially since Cody might also get recovered because of his high constitution. 

He thought that "if Cody can tolerate and overcome the sleeping poison it means that there is also a possibility to overcome the paralysis effect of the needles." Cody also has a special constitution which made him more careful at that thought. 

As this was happening some of the members of the camp had started to recover from the effects of the sleeping gas. Han Shin also knew that this was going to happen sooner or later which is why he was so eager to escape and not engage in a fight anymore. 

Meanwhile, Cody rolled on the ground and stumbled on a tree. Cody was hit by Han Shin and he prepared to stand up and catch Han Shin but suddenly he felt an inch all over his legs. He looked down and saw that there are lights from the moon being reflected by the small needles protruding on his legs. 

This needle was pierced on him by Han Shin when he punched him with needles between the gap on his fingers. Cody tried to move his legs but he couldn't move them the same as before. He stood up while supporting himself on a tree and looked in the direction of Han Shin. He watched as the scene unfolds in front of his eyes. 

After dodging the shuriken of the leader those who have recovered also started surrounding Han Shin. And before Han Shin could run he was already surrounded. They started attacking him and fought hard. It seems that Han Shin was able to keep up even when fighting countless people from the group. But deep inside Han Shin was getting more nervous because he was already getting tired and knew that he wouldn't last if the fight continued. 

The group kept attacking Han Shin side by side but Han shin was able to defend and sometimes make a counter-attack. Han Shin had already defeated more than five opponents but they keep getting more because those who have been affected by sleeping gas earlier were recovering from its effect. Even though one of his hands was missing he was still able to keep up with the fight. His energy had already started deteriorating.

Cody wanted to join the fight as well but he could feel that his legs had already gone numb. He felt helpless as he watched his subordinate who was getting thrown by Han Shin. Amazement can be seen in his eyes as he looked at Han Shin. He was amazed at how Han Shin was able to fight with his group and keep his composure. He himself knew that he was not Han Shin's opponent at all. But he was confident that if the paralyzing effect of the needles wore off he would win if he fought with Han Shin in his current state.

Han Shin continued fighting the group and the second leader was throwing a dagger at him from time to time which made him have more and more wounds. In the distance, a man was hiding in the dark at the top of the tree. He was watching the whole scene from the very start. In the camp, he was the man who had the highest authority and his commands were more valuable and important than the leader.

Even though his strength was not on par with them, he was still the one who holds the highest authority. He was also tasked as the reporter of the group and if anything happened to them he needed to report it to his superior. He could also command them and his command will be the highest command out of all even if their members die on the way. 

He didn't call for backup because he had already gauged the strength of the old man and knew that reinforcement was not needed anymore. But at first, he thought that Han Shin would not be able to last when the leader, Cody, and the second leader surrounded him. He knew that Han Shin might be able to injure them but he didn't think that Han Shin would bring out a smoke bomb that contained sleeping gas. 

But right now he knew that even Han Shin, who was a monster from the eyes of the others, would definitely lose in this fight. At this moment he could still see that Han Shin was losing energy as time went by. Especially the second leader who was attacking him successfully from time to time was there and was still full of energy. Cody was also there who was recovering minute by minute. 

Han Shin had already used all his needles and he had almost exhausted all of his strength. He breathed heavily as he was still in a fighting position. The members of the group were weaker than the leader, the second leader and Cody which is why only the second leader who was still engaging in a fight was able to damage him from time to time.

Right now there are only three people that he was cautious of, the first is the second leader who was attacking him from a distance. Second is Cody who was lying in wait and recovering from time to time. And lastly is the one who was engaging in a fight with him. He had the fourth-strongest position in the group and only Cody and the two leaders were above him in terms of strength.

He had put up a good fight with Han Shin but he was still not his opponent. Han Shin was too strong for them and he was not even able to win even though Han Shin only had one hand. But he didn't give up, he kept attacking Han Shin even though he had been thrown out by him countless times. 

After Han Shin used his palm to strike him he flung out and Han Shin got ready and then dash out. He found an opening in their formation because they are lacking members. He had already been fighting for so long that he had already knocked down most of them and only ten people remained. Two of those were Cody and the second leader. They saw how Han Shin dashed out and went inside the thick forest.

Cody had already regained control of his legs so he waited for the order of their second leader. The leader didn't wait for any further and started to order them.

He shouted " Chase after him, Go, don't let him get away," agitatedly as he also rushed forward to chase. He didn't forget to bring weapons, especially when he was more inclined into long-range weapons. Without any delay Cody also started running towards the direction of where Han Shin goes. 

Han Shin dashed away and climbed up on a tree as he jumped from tree to tree. He didn't choose to run on the ground so that he could detect hidden traps that were lying in wait for him. He kept jumping from tree to tree until suddenly when his foot touched the branch it suddenly broke and he almost fell but he materialized his qi under his feet before using it as a platform to jump in the air.

The usage of his qi further exhausted him which made his movements slower than his usual speed. Ten people chased after him as he ran inside the forest. The second leader not only chased after him but he was attacking Han Shin from time to time. Han Shin was dodging his attack but some of them were successful and wounds kept accumulating on his body.

They run through the forest and continue chasing Han Shin. As time passed by they kept getting closer and closer to Han Shin. Cody was also getting better and better and the paralyzing effect of the needles were wearing off. His speed also increased which is why he was getting the lead in the group. The second leader was also good and had a good physique but because he was attacking Han Shin his speed was also the same as his group. 

Then as they travelled through the forest they finally caught up with Han Shin.
